Just leaving some hopefully helpful tips (not necessarily for day one, but for early game):

Plant the parsnip seeds you get, then grow potatoes. (Make sure to save up money before Spring 13th to buy strawberry seeds at the Egg Festival.)

try to clear your farm as much as you can just to make space for crops.

It’s recommended to go for the Community Center (CC) route since it helps you learn the game’s basic mechanics. (check the Y1 checklist pinned here too)

Look for forageables! You’ll need them for the CC, and they’re great for restoring energy.

Always check the TV for daily luck (Fortune Teller). Luck affects your chances of finding ladders in the mines and fishing for treasure chests. Also, check the TV every Sunday for new recipes and Wednesdays for re-runs.

Fishing is a great way to make money early in the game, so fish as much as you can!

Don’t sell wood, stones, or fibers—you’ll need them later.

Progress every five floors in the mines. The elevator will save your progress, letting you return later without starting over.

Buy a silo as soon as you can. It stores hay when you cut grass on your farm.

If you're trying to befriend villagers, I recommend befriending them first:

1.Pam - for batteries
2.Linus - sashimi recipe + wild bait
3.Caroline - tea saplings (yes, it got nerfed sadly, but 250g a piece is still good imo)
4.Gus - sends recipes including buff items
5.Wizard - if you're planning to change your appearance

If you’re lucky enough to find a Prismatic Shard or Dino Egg (congrats!), DON’T donate the first one to the museum. You’ll need them for other purposes.

Most important tip: Don’t compare your progress to anyone else. Play at your own pace, and if you feel FOMO, remember that you’ll experience everything as you go. The game has no deadlines anyway.

For me, my routine is usually d1: chop wood for chests, plant 15 parsnip, 2 cauliflower, 1 potato, 1 green bean.
D2 I chop more wood and gather all the foragables I can. Grab the fishing rod but don't fish till d3.
Then I fish for catfish and eel on d3. After that I fish and mine until I have money and sprinklers for strawberries. But that's just me two cents

Just leaving some hopefully helpful tips (not necessarily for day one, but for early game):

Plant the parsnip seeds you get, then grow potatoes. (Make sure to save up money before Spring 13th to buy strawberry seeds at the Egg Festival.)

try to clear your farm as much as you can just to make space for crops.

It’s recommended to go for the Community Center (CC) route since it helps you learn the game’s basic mechanics. (check the Y1 checklist pinned here too)

Look for forageables! You’ll need them for the CC, and they’re great for restoring energy.

Always check the TV for daily luck (Fortune Teller). Luck affects your chances of finding ladders in the mines and fishing for treasure chests. Also, check the TV every Sunday for new recipes and Wednesdays for re-runs.

Fishing is a great way to make money early in the game, so fish as much as you can!

Don’t sell wood, stones, or fibers—you’ll need them later.

Progress every five floors in the mines. The elevator will save your progress, letting you return later without starting over.

Buy a silo as soon as you can. It stores hay when you cut grass on your farm.

If you're trying to befriend villagers, I recommend befriending them first:

1.Pam - for batteries
2.Linus - sashimi recipe + wild bait
3.Caroline - tea saplings (yes, it got nerfed sadly, but 250g a piece is still good imo)
4.Gus - sends recipes including buff items
5.Wizard - if you're planning to change your appearance

If you’re lucky enough to find a Prismatic Shard or Dino Egg (congrats!), DON’T donate the first one to the museum. You’ll need them for other purposes.

Most important tip: Don’t compare your progress to anyone else. Play at your own pace, and if you feel FOMO, remember that you’ll experience everything as you go. The game has no deadlines anyway.
