Use any iridium and gold you get to craft crystalariums. Use those crystalariums to dupe jades, ||which can be traded for staircases on Sundays at the Desert Trader. This will allow you to get deeper into SC and make it much easier to get more iridium. Which you use to craft more crystalariums, until you have enough of them to keep you stocked with staircases. I currently have 64 and can get 256 staircases from them every week.||
Iridium sprinklers and upgrading tools to iridium can wait.

But thats genuine minmaxxing. Something along the lines of 500 is more achieveable, you can also get lots of iridium if you only get to 200. Its a matter of practice

You can use one to make a certain hat you may need later in the game. Other than that, just sell it. Early on that money can be a game changer.
