For everything else, like Agriculturist e.g., you need to be the one who is planting the crops.

Also there is a lot of forage hidden in the dirt if you hoe, I like to have gold hoe before winter. But yeah most people use winter as a time for mining, fishing, arranging the farm, building relationships, etc

Wheat is easy. Plant it out of the way at the beginning of summer and forget about it. Plant like 200-300. It will rain 4 times before the end of fall. Crows will get a few, nbd

Plant more if you want to hoe that much. You can sell the wheat or save it for kegs for big gains on a 10g seed

That's a broad question if you haven't played the game before. But a greenhouse full of ancient fruit and a shed of kegs and/or pigs. You'll need to learn the basics first though so just take it slow
