The Community Center offers a lot of different rewards for completing bundles. It also acts as a de-facto tutorial for the game, introducing you to different aspects of the game in a nice, organic progression, helping you learn about things you wouldn't learn about going with Joja. So don't buy the Joja membership if it's your first time playing. You'll have a much more productive experience in learning more about the game.
