The point of bomb mining is that it's faster than using your pick. But if all you have is your pick, use that.
The point is to get as much iridium as you can, and use that iridium to make more crystalariums. This will allow you to dupe more jades to trade for more staircases (at the Desert Trader on Sundays) so you can get even lower to get more iridium.
Upgrading your tools and iridium sprinklers can wait. ||
