||I liked them so much I shelled out 10K for the recipe that early and made a few more, eventually getting up to 12, which was overkill, and now using 10. Those 10 turn 50 regular cranberries that can be sold, with Tiller, for 4100, into 8210, with Artisan, in dried fruits overnight.
You make more profit with Artisan, of course. You can increase your profits on regular and silver quality fruits without Artisan. With Artisan you can go up to gold. Iridium quality fruits (like forage fruits and tree fruits in their 4th year onward) should be sold raw or you lose money dehydrating them.||

You have to collect new ones. These types of quests are in two parts: the first part is gathering what you need in the time required. The second is turning it in.
You can, however, do what I do and collect large eggs, BUT give him small ones, which I always save for cooking.

The current crab pot mechanics should be transferred to a new item, the fishing net. The fishing net would work exactly like current crab pots and would be unlocked in the same way.

Then, at a later level, you can unlock the new crab pots. Crab pots would now have a little inventory of their own, similar to a chest but a fair bit smaller. With the inventory, you just put bait in and every day the crab pot automatically puts its catch in its inventory and re-baits itself, as long as there’s still bait in the inventory.

In psychology, the most effective form of reinforcement is “variable ratio schedule” where rewards are given after a varying amount of instances of the target behavior.

This isn’t exactly 1:1 with stardew since, for the most part, each mechanic and its timer are on a fixed schedule. But, I bring it up for the fact that stardew has sooooo many reward and timer systems that there is no predictable amount of time between each reward.

Minecraft can be addicting but it generally isn’t seen as addictive and Stardew because the game does nothing to push you towards tasks
