fiber sometimes grows in the fenced area right by the community center, and in the forest below your farm. But the "grass" that you scythe for your silo for animal food doesn't grow anywhere else and you'd have to grow or buy the hay from marnie

You can only really put buildings on grass. It's "aesthetic"

afaik you just can't put fertilizer on anything that's already been growing a day or two, it has to be the day it was planted. Order still doesn't matter, at least not anymore. Iirc in earlier versions you just couldn't put fertilizer down if the seed was already in
