You start with parsnips, on day one you can add more of them or stay at 15 and wait till harvest - then sell, craft/place scarecrow, and buy as many seeds as you can (potatoes, kale). Then harvest and repeat. Strawberries are nice but not mandatory if you don't get gold in time etc. IF you are good at fishing you can fish and sell fish while crops grow which gives early on a lot of gold 🙂
