I tend to leave multi harvest plants or use the cheapest plant I can to keep the spaces tilled. Summer to fall I use wheat. Fall to spring ill use wheat. It's cheap even when I'm planting 700 spots worth of it.

You need a rabbits foot for one of the Community Center bundles. IMO pigs (truffles) are the animal for money. IDK yet about slimes or ostriches.

I only kept 2 cows so I could have a constant supply of cheese to eat in the mines.
