I think the horse requires paths to be 2 squares wide so you can't cut through the bushes near the cemetary, the path up to the mountains east of the town, stuff like that

Strawberries are pretty great for making money, however some folks prefer to save the seeds until y2 spring, so that they can get the maximum amount of multiple harvests in one season, versus planting them immediately after getting the seeds at the Egg Festival. Consider building a silo and coop soon too, so you can get chickens. Animals are a good way to make profit. In addition to profit, consider planting any spring crops you may need for the Community Center, if you're going that route.

I don't blame you for not wanting to spend your whole day (and all your energy) watering crops.
