I watched a guide on how to min max spring 1, I've played stardew before and this is my 5th playthrough, the guy in the video reach spring 6 with 12k and i only got 4k upon reaching spring 6 despite doing the same thing as he did

▪ Best recommend 2-5 seconds depending on the numerical difficulty of the fish.
• Rhythmic clicks are best when the fish is at the middle or bottom of the mini game.

The cost of bait is extremely worth it even before you can craft it yourself. Time doesn't pass during the fishing minigame, but does pass for everything around the minigame. Including sitting around waiting for a bite.

Bait will cut the bite delay by about half, and this is the vast majority of the time spent fishing. So you nearly double your fishing haul per day just by using bait
