Jars come earlier than Kegs, so it's good for getting money earlier, and are also usually better with Vegetables.
||Dehydrators|| are good for getting through a lot of crops quickly that you otherwise might not actually process, like Blueberries or Cranberries.

I planted starter grass around the perimiter of where I want them to roam, then I put fences on top of the grass. They won't be able to eat that piece of grass but it will keep spreading and they eat the parts that spread. When it grows on the other side I carefully trim it with the scythe to get hay and put it in the silo for rainy days when they stay inside. or the grass doesn't multiply.

I need to figure out if the grass dies in the winter or if it will grow back in the same place.

I will want to plant more grass in the fall so I can stock up

You should get a steel can beforehand
it can water crops in rows of 5 (by holding down for about 2 seconds)

Look up the most productive crops for the season on the wiki and make 2 5x15 columns for them (150 crops)
water those every day and in the time alotted you should have 40-60k :D
