Every fish has different xp values, and you get more xp for perfect catches and treasure chests so it really depends

Once a giant crop is grown, it's grown. It'll survive every season, even if you can't plant it in that season

Melons, cauliflower and 2 other things that I can't mention can turn into giant crops. If they're in a 3x3 plot they have a chance of growing into a giant crop. You'll get more than 9 crops from it when you break it though

In Year 1, the townies are all surprised and strongly reacting to it. In Year 2+, they're accustomed to it.
I recommend playing through your first Green Rain twice: once to walk around talking to all the townies and seeing their various reactions (some of them are hilarious), and then resetting the day to instead collect as much fiber/moss/wood/mossyseeds as you can.||

Might spring for a barn and fill it with cows too. Note that you also need to buy a milking pail and get the milk from the cows by using it on them

You'll want a heater for each animal building to keep the animals happy through Winter.

Cheese sells well. A regular milk becomes normal cheese, a Large milk from a happy cow becomes gold quality cheese. Build some Cheese Presses for it and you can get quite a bit of money daily

Lemme get the thing I usually copy/paste about fishing...

The thing to know is that you are not just raising the fishing bar when you press the button.
You are accelerating it upwards.

You don't want to hold the button, or it will gain too much upward speed.
You don't want to rapidly tap the button, or it will gain too little upward speed.
You need to learn how to properly press and release it to manage its speed and position.
You'll be sort of pulsing the button, not mashing it.

It changes the way you have to think about steering it.
If the fish jumps up, you have to accelerate up and then let go of the throttle early so the bar's momentum doesn't carry it past the fish; when the fish drops down, you have to let the bar fall and then re-engage the throttle early so the bar doesn't fall past the fish either

Don't suppose you've ever played a platformer like VVVVVV where you can invert gravity at will to control your altitude? It's that.

I try to hold the bar so that it sort of leans towards the center.
If the fish is above the center, I hold my bar so its top edge is on the fish.
If the fish is below the center, I hold my bar so the bottom edge is on the fish.

Why? So if the fish jumps towards the opposite side of the field, I have more time to react (as it crosses the length of the bar) and so I have less distance to move to reach it again.

If it jumps towards the edge of the field, I don't have that far to travel to recapture it anyway

A witch comes by at night and puts a spell on a chicken egg, then it becomes a void egg. It’s usually recommended to hatch that chicken first and have more void eggs produced and then you can sell it or donate it to the museum I think
