Haley is easy to rack up heart points with early game as she likes the daffodil, which is everywhere, and her birthday is in Spring. So I would just make sure you talk to her everyday and gift her twice a week. A liked birthday gift will give you one heart automatically, by the by

I wouldn't say it's slow per se, but it takes a while for your farm itself to start turning up reliable profit and farming itself is energetically tasking with the starting tools. So yeah it can have that feeling that you're dawdling

If you missed something and can't get it by Winter, you could focus on animals instead. Chickens and cows still give steady income year round.

||The Green Rain happens once per year on a random date every Summer. It is harmless to people and to your crops.

The townies don't know it's harmless (yet) the first time it happens though, so most of them are panicking about it. Trees, moss, and fiber are all over the valley for you to collect.||
