well in 1.6 if you don't have legacy randomization on you cant but if you have it on if you find a rock that gives a geode if a rock spawns on that tile it will always give a geode so you just find a rock close to a later on a elevator floor or the first floor that gives a geode you can keep resetting that floor and whenever a rock spawns on the tile that will give a geode just mine it and continue the process
