Not directly. The deeper you go, the more ore spawns per map. So more luck means being able to get farther, which means more ore, which means more of that ore.

But just blasting things will get you pretty far regardless

Let's see, I think bugs stop showing up around 30ish. And I think they aren't that common in the very first couple of floors... So maybe try floors 10-30? All the different bug types have it (beetle that flies back and forth, larva that usually spawns in groups, fly that the larva turns into and swarms you when there's mist)
