The charger cord needs to be hooked up to the dock, but it doesn't have to be hooked to the TV

Well, time is the most valuable resource in the game. I'd say so.
The horse's speed bonus stacks with other speed bonuses from food and drinks. So you can drink coffee to... make the horse run faster. Somehow

I've heard of people picking Forester at Lv5 and then flipping to Gatherer&Botanist at Lv10, even with the fee.
I think I would still prefer Gatherer for a couple extra Fire Quartz and beach forage, myself. But I can see the value of Forester if you cut a lot of trees before the swap
