itll work for repeating harvests but for crops that produce multiple fruit each harvest (e.g. cranberry) the fertiliser will only affect one of them

fertilizer will go away if there is no plant in the place. For a repeat harvest crop your fertilizer will continue to effect that crop until it dies or gets removed
