Everyone in town will have unique dialogue (but they can’t be gifted) that changes depending on if it’s Y1 or Y2+. Green rain amplifies the amount of trees and foliage around town, which makes it amazing for getting a lot of foraging experience, and fast. My advice is to cut down as many trees as you can, and scythe everything you see. The most common thing you’ll get from green rain aside from wood will be moss. It’s used in a lot of different crafts and an ingredient in 1 dish. Sap is also useful for fertilizing your crops. Mixed Flower Seeds and Mossy Seeds are new seeds from green rain, the former plants a random flower crop that grows in the current season, and the latter plants a tree sapling that grows quickly into a green rain tree.||

Level 5 foraging to level 10 takes 12,850 experience to level up to… ~1,070 trees if it were just trees getting foraging xp from.. each tree gives a minimum of 16 wood, with forester at level 5 extra 25%, would be around an additional 4 wood per tree.. but for single player purposes it’s 5 wood. (5x1070)x10g= approx 53,500 gold that would’ve been spent at Robin’s Year 1 vs. the wood gained & 10k gold spent going from level 5 forester, switching to gatherer/botanist from dog statue … would be way worse if it was buying wood from Robin y2

Wood is buyable. Fire Quartz isn't. It's also a matter of timing; the new machine has no level requirement and is useful for Blueberries but kegs do have a level requirement and require greater quatities (limited more by resin than by wood) to become properly usable.
