It doesnt affect the size of the bar, only fishing level does that. What the fiberglass rod does is the ability to use bait. This is huge cause bait cuts down the time of fish to bite in about half the time. This essentially doubles your earnings and xp

Nope, even when selling raw pumpkins are better. First off you can buy 2.4x pumpkin seeds with the same ammount of money. Secondly they benefit more from quality as they're higher value, so basic fertilizer (which you can easily craft with 2 sap each) helps a lot in increasing their value

Calculators like that aren't great. It doesnt take into account the fact that cranberry seeds are 240g and pumpkin seeds are 100g, so you can buy 2.4x as many pumpkin seeds which means way more profit
