You can put the fruit trees at the sounds (outside the boundary for the area for regular crops). I don't know if you can put maple trees etc there if you're referring to those. There should be some layouts for fruit trees in the greenhouse around.

they're alright! before 1.6 it was really good to just sell the tea saplings outright (500g each) but as of 1.6 ||the sell price was nerfed to 200g so it's not quite as good, but there were some other changes that are nice: if you cut down a tea sapling you'll get it back now, and green tea now provides a +0.5 speed buff||

Sorry, I turn notifications off for this server. First tip is to build a chest as soon as possible, as your inventory starts small. Imo the game starts out out a little more difficult than most of the game, as your equipment isn't the best yet.
