It's possible that an npc walked through it and destroyed it...but the 1.6 update (I really shouldn't have to spoil this) ||made it so that npcs can shove chests aside, although some testing seems to show that chests might get destroyed if there isn't enough room nearby to accommodate a chest moved by the npc||. I heard festivals might mess up your placed objects, but I don't know anything more about that.

I dunno if mobile got the 1.6 update yet, but if not, it's even more probable that an npc rekt your chest
