Just rng when fishing in the ocean. I think if you fish close to land, you have a higher chance to catch Trash items, which seaweed is coded as.

And since the rod can only catch low level fish, seaweed, algae and trash, there is no low level fish you can catch during Summer at the ocean using that rod, except for Red Snapper but then that's only during rainy days.

Iridium Bars can be acquired from smelting Iridium Ore (5) alongside a piece of Coal in a Furnace.

Additionally, they can be dropped from certain enemies in the Mines (if I recall correctly, some Shadow monsters) and can be found as a gift from Clint during the Feast of the Winter Star.

Ah yes, the Traveling Merchant also might sell Iridium Bars, so look out on days when she's there (Fridays and Sundays) and see if you get lucky.

nope it didn't work, but only because i use mods, so when i open the game it always opens the api game/icon
BUT i figured it out for future reference in case anyone has the same issue:
you have to open the game as normally, it loads the regular api icon/game
then you right click it & go to change icon here as shown in the pic
then you browse for the regular icon, then apply, press okay, restart your computer
then you open it again, then when it's open you can right click it & pin to tool bar
