Better to let them outside to eat though, cuts down on the fodder cost and having to refill the feeding area all the time. They go back in at 5pm on their own as long as you leave the door open.

Making sure you have a sufficient amount of it planted underneath the fence posts keeps them from eating all the sources and it can always slowly regrow.

For animals, build the silo first.
Animals need to eat and a silo allows you to gather hay from cutting grass.
Animals don't need much work but they are also not a nonzero time investment. Ideally you can let them graze outside and eat from grass outside. The most common tip is to place a grass starter and then a fence/lighting rod on top of said grass starter so it can spread but not be eaten.
Sprinklers are cool, I have seen people never upgrade their watering can and ride out with sprinklers but that's just preference just make sure to upgrade it on rainy days or days you don't need to water stuff.

I have a question about Elliott's 2 and 8 heart events. ||I triggered his 8 heart event before his two heart event. During his 8 heart event he read a Sci-Fi story. Then I entered his cabin and he asked me what kind of story I like. I'm curious why ConcernedApe didn't check to see if previous events were triggered before the letter like he does for Shane for example?||
