I guess so? If you really enjoy fishing,, you should get the fibreglass rod first. Using Bait doubles your catch rate, it's very good early game and one of the best investments a fisher can make.

ive only played on standard and 4 corners (standard for my first playthrough which lasted until spring 15 and 4 corners for my current playthrough which is almost done with summer year 1) and i think 4 corners is better, it has the squares design so you can more easily plan out specific areas imo :D

you can't pull hay out of the hopper unless the feed tray is partially empty, and a maxed out coop/barn has an autofeeder that fills it every day. Use a bomb to get rid of the hay.

1. a high quality Cauliflower or Melon, if you have one, will give a good response
2. Are you good at fishing? Head to the mountain lake and catch yourself a Sturgeon. A quality one will also give a good response
3. Settle for a 'okay' response with something worse, eg. a largemouth bass (also available from the mountain lake)

early game, spring onions. If you go fishing, save the chubs to snack on. Then grab a whole horde of salmonberries from 15-18 spring and that will last you until like fall. If you have the shroom cave, you can eat common shrooms

Other than that, Salads from the saloon are well liked.

Also here’s a tip for the people who fish. Craft a chest next to you while you’re fishing near Willy, so that you can swap things in and out of your inventory to sell for direct profit. This will save you SO much time.
