I'll explain.

The fortune teller is basically telling you what to do that day. She adds stress to the game. On a good luck day you feel OBLIGATED to listen to her and go fishing or mining.

You might have had other plans that day, but then they get derailed to go do a luck driven activity.

Don't worry about Luck. If you want to go fishing, go fishing. If you want to go mining, go mining. Luck only really matters mid-late game when you are doing content that is available after completing a certain bundle. But other than that, the fortune teller lady makes more stress in your save than is needed. This is especially true for new farmers who have a lot of stress already.

Like I get making it a challenge, but does it have to be unpredictable instant movement way out of your bar, moving so far that by the time you get to the fish again, it moves again-

Forageables spawn every day but they only despawn saturday night. So you can ignore them and then collect them all on Saturday so you only need to check everywhere once a week
