If you prefer video tutorials, the YouTube channel "Salmence" has some really good ones. There's also some in-depth guides for each skill, which would be exactly what you're looking for. Keep in mind that the mining one is rather fresh, and there's a part 2 supposed to come out soon, I haven't checked yet though.

They are all fairly simple

1. Crops take a certain amount of time to grow, and sell for a certain price. Most crops can only be grown in a single season however a select few can be grown cross-season. No crops can be grown in Winter. There are also sprinklers that automate watering, scarecrows to keep crows from eating your crops, and fertilizers that can increase the quality to sell more, increase growth rate to harvest earlier, or have a chance to retain water across days.
   2 / 5. Animals and people are roughly the same, you interact with them to build relationship slowly, and can give gifts twice a week to villagers, the higher quality gift or when on a birthday, the more relationship you get. You can unlock cooking recipes or get items in the mail.
   3 / 4. There is a mine that contains ores, gems, and monsters. The further down you go, you get better ores (||Floors 0-40 is copper, 40-80 is iron, 80-120 is gold||) There are also more difficult monsters that have more health and deal more damage. There are 3 types of weapons, swords, daggers, and hammers. Swords are slashy and quick, daggers are stabby and very fast, hammers are slow, painful, and swingy. They also have specials like sword blocking, hammer slamming, and dagger stabs.

You tend to get better animal products / crop qualities the higher your relationship / farming level

The iridium rod just lets you put tackle on the line which alters your fishing ability, from catching fish more frequently, to having them escape slower, to simply making your fishing bar a bit bigger

The Fiberglass rod is good enough for a while
