What do you mean? You can give him gifts just like any other villager. If you’re referring on how to understand him, you need to donate all four dwarf scrolls to the museum and collect the reward “Dwarvish Translation Guide” from Gunther.

Day 1: plant 40 parsnips.
Day 2-4: fish, maybe clear some debris around the farm.
Day 5: sell parsnips. Buy/plant 40 potatoes. Go mining as deep as possible.
Day 6+: chop down trees, leave the stumps. Get all tree seeds for snacks. (This levels Foraging to get more berries when they show up). Continue mining/and or fishing.

You don’t need to rush the fishes since they differ in season. Use iridium rod and tackles to get some of the hard fish to get. Check #multiplayer-lfg-old for other players on xbox.

If you want different saves for the current one you are working on, you can make copies of the original save file. And put it elsewhere 🤔 for safe keeping

They can place truffles in tall grass, it just fucks with their ai and makes it a lot lot harder for them to do so

There's no baseline on that. As long as you're familiar enough with fishing minigames, have high enough fishing level (means fishing bar gets bigger), also the usage of tackle and food fishing, you're good to go whenever

My recommended setup for that fish
Level 10 fishing - Increases bar size and to meet the level 7 requirement. Also Increases your cast distance as Glacierfish can only be caught at fishing zone 5.
Iridium rod - Required to equip trap/cork bobber and bait
Bait - Reduces bite time by 50%
Only one tackle can be equipped.
Trap bobber - Reduces the speed of the catch meter decreasing when the fish is not inside the green bar
Cork bobber - Increases size of the controlled green bar by 24 pixels (equivalent to 3 fishing levels)
Food buffs
Lobster bisque/Dish O' the Sea - Increases fishing level by 3 temporarily.
Seafoam pudding - Increases fishing level by 4 temporarily
By adding food buffs to permanent level 10 fishing skill this would total your level by either 13 or 14 levels depending on what food buff you used
