The only reason you ever want to close the doors is if you're renovating the fences or something like that and don't want animals running around

Lava eel does have the best roe price, but blobfish, which has the second best, outproduces lava eel by about 40% to 60%, so it wins out in profitability.
That being said, fish ponds are for fun, not for profit, really. And special drops aren't something you'll want to count on as they happen too rarely to make much of a difference in your game and the items they drop are usually obtainable by much quicker and more reliable methods.

Juice takes 4 days to make, pickles take 3 days. Pumpkin juice base price is 720, while pickles go for 690. Sounds better to make juice, right?
But every 12 days you make juice, you are getting 3 batches for a total of 2160, while in the same 12 days you can make four batches of pickles for 2760.
Add to this fact that all veggies except pumpkins and red cabbage are actually worth less as juice than pickles, and this is why I say you should never make juice.

There's a legendary fish you can only catch there. And there's a secret there that will be uncovered once you complete the CC.

@ambersgone for one, there are technical considerations: Stardew uses peer to peer multiplayer, there is no central server, so someone's phone would have to host the game. Also, the multiplayer version of the game has worse performance which is significant for many phones
