The default limit on a farm is 4 players (including the host). On PC you can change this by editing a file in the game, or using a mod. I don't believe you can change it on Consoles. Mobile doens't have multiplayer at all

Well, you get a fishing rod on day 2 if you go to the beach.
If you need HELP catching fish, my biggest piece of advice is use the training rod (you can buy it from Willy for cheap) until you feel more comfortable fishing, as you'll have gained a couple levels and fishing will be much easier
