For "Always Raining in the Valley", do I need TMXL Map Toolkit if I don't want spouse rooms (It says its spouse rooms) I don't plan to marry any of them.

Anyone else getting stutters with SMAPI installed and no mods? I get a 2fps stutter every 5-15 sec. I've tried all of the suggested performance fixes and still no luck. (Using SMAPI 3.14.4) No stutters if I launch the game without SMAPI

I've got a weird visual bug in my game. When my character does the animation for receiving something (Getting the parsnip seeds, fishing rod, etc...), it doesn't show the item above his head. Nope. Still getting some stuttering on 3.14.5. The load times seem to be a ton better though.

I verified my game files to fix a bug and it reset the edits that I did with map editor. The map I edited was already a modded location (the mine cave entrance) and was using daisynikos tileset

LOC simply checks to see if winter crops is installed, i didn't expect anyone would go out of their way to remove the nettle crops and keep the mod 
what happens to fruit trees in the greenhouse if one adds a greenhouse expansion to an existing save?
Well lot's of greenhouses change locations for crops and such. It'd probably be a good idea to just get rid of everything inside
changing a map with things placed on it just means they may be in the void on the new map

From what I can tell after installing the default path into the deep woods will not let me leave I'm using stardew Valley extended so the secondary path for my farm works and the other thing is when I went to bed and woke up the next morning my controller was not responding I couldn't even use my keyboard

i'm having some trouble installing the newest version of smapi. double clicking it just gives me a black box with nothing in it. running as admin gives me an error message. this is the same both with trying to install directly from the website or from nexus.
portuguese reads "The system cannot find the path specified" and "Press any key to continue. . ."
How can i fix these errors? they only happen on one save file, i made a new one to test.
soo I think it's a Fashion Sense content pack I made... I removed it and the game stopped crashing :/

just found another issue, i swapped my game to compatibility since regular severely messed up my game audio but it seems thats not compatible with SMAPI?

Based on your screenshots, seems you're running the game from a different folder than SMAPI is getting installing to?

okay one last issue, got all the mods to work but im still having issues with the game audio (its very distorted), heres the log but im not seeing anything that could be causing it; also tried all the possible issues listed on the provided site but didnt seem to fix it

there's nothing in there because i uninstalled it, like i deleted then reinstalled steam into its own folder in c:
Clients need the same mod folder as you, send it to em in a zip.
@fickle current I guess you didn't delete the non-program-files folder then? Just to make sure since the path is different, can you reinstall SMAPI one more time and post a screenshot when it shows the green text?
Also, thats a heavy setup for multiplayer :P
And if you peek at the game folder, there's still 254 items with no smapi-internal subfolder?

Do you have Comodo installed?

Comodo has a feature where it can sandbox applications, so they work on a temporary copy of the system but their changes don't affect the real folders. It looks like Comodo is sandboxing the installer. Can you disable Comodo and see if that still happens?

I've noticed antiviruses often keep working even when they're supposedly disabled (e.g. due to background agents). Could you try temporarily uninstalling Comodo, restarting your computer, then seeing if the issue still happens?

hello i am having a problem where a mod that I use to replace floor and wallpaper assets does not seem to be working. I load up the game and the wallpapers are all reverted to vanilla despite me having the mod in the "Mods" folder and it being recognized by smapi (the mod is Rustic Country Walls and Floors)
The black window can happen when your antivirus is blocking the app to scan it. What happens if you launch it as non-admin again, then wait a minute or two without closing it?
"extracting install files appeared" but it just seems to be going very slowly

Can anyone help me with the mod Reshade? I am on 1.5.6 and it says to put it root of the game ands that's it, so I did that but it still is not working? Anyone know why or if I missed anything?

Reverting to how everything was before isn't getting rid of the error? Does anyone know at least if it's safe to continue playing in the meantime?
To actually install it.
Your co-op partners all need the exact same mod and also, you've got three very large (DTZ, RSV, SVE) and one quite large (ES), and several not-exactly small mods (ie: LASV), running there. You might need to trim it back. For co-op I'd probably choose one large expansion at a time.

Yeah there has been drama in the past about modders bundling ancient versions of reshade or even customizing/debranding it, hence getting the exe straight from the site and importing the preset you found on the nexus is best.

Welcome! You should be able to reinstall Comodo if you want, and add an exception for the installer / game folder instead.
not sure what the second load is for but it looks like the Maps/walls_and_floors is being loaded properly...

vibrant pastoral recolor also changes that asset
try disabling the "Walls and Floors" config option in that mod, maybe?
(In older versions of the game, the tilesheets were also in the root folder; that's why older content packs will list both.)

it seemed the elegant scarecrows and craftables were having problems too
vanilla was loading over and colliding
hmmm, vanilla shouldn't "load over" anything... lemme check the patch summary again
like the rarecrow vanilla asset was loaded but i could see fragments of the elegant version in it
same with the craftables
it looks like that might be vibrant pastoral doing that too
try turning off "Big Craftables" in the VPR config
and maybe "Town Interiors", since you have the rustic interiors installed?
Any ideas what could cause this? Off color seed bags showing up instead of the object image.

its probably not because of your farm layout, it might be your tilesheet is messed up or the map, reinstall sve maybe

We are running SVE and RSV, but I tried to minimize other code mods
Or mods that require, say, pytk or animated textures
But you can probably run more pure content packs than we do

I believe the performance and loading time contributes to instability
Another thing you can do is run stardrop mod manager. It checks for dependencies, so its easier to see which mods need which libs

im new to mods and i got stardew valley on the xbox app and when i try to install smapi it says: Oops SMAPI is missing one of its files. Your antivirus might have deleted it.

that takes few seconds and is already noticeable delay, but there is a lot more. i'm not sure what you can do about that except to remove mods
for indoors-outdoors warps though you can try disabling the SeasonalEdits option in the SVE config

That would seem logical, except it's very noticeably gotten bad, plus the red error, in one day, like something went wrong somewhere. I'd live with it if it weren't for the stuttering making me die in the mines. Wish I knew what the error meant so I could go from there. Googling isn't giving me much.
Oh cool, to my surprise reinstalling SDV seemed to fix it. No error.

I have some issues with Dynamic Game Assets. For Farmer to Florist, the latest update migrates to DGA. Can I just download the old JA version and the optional files instead, and it will work?
Yup you can use the JA version, it'll work, i use the JA version too
The DGA version is actually broken from what I hear
I'd call it incomplete rather than broken, PFM wasn't updated to support DGA iirc, so machines dont work
weren't there some mail issues in the DGA version too?
MFM was updated for DGA support iirc so I guess they should be fixed/I dont see any other reason to be issues there

You can create different folders with the name mods on It. Like, Mods 1, Mods 2 and then put different mods in each one

I get that the game tracks just about everything via location, but... let's see what actually eats the ridiculous amount there. The farm is about 170,000 lines that's to be expected, there's just a ton of stuff, all the chests and what not.

Oh I think I am seeing a problem here. The more artifact spots mod does not have an exclusion list for areas you cannot get to yet, so it kept on spawning artifacts spots all over areas where they can spawn but I can't clear them and they don't expire apparently?

If you modded Fallout like you said you did, you should know how modding like this works, you add new ones, it could be incompatible with your old mods

You can temporarily remove them to see if it was the cause. If it doesn't cause that error, add them back.

Hello guys, so I cant see the FIBS channel on tv, it closed as I try to watch it and it generated some error on SMAPI. After tinkering some mod I found these recipe in PPJA Even More Recipe cause it maybe(?) I try remove these recipe and the FIBS channel working again. After tinkering some more I try removing all mods except all of PPJA mods including the recipe that caused the error and somehow the FIBS channel is working too, so I wonder what mod really causing this error...

Rename the copy to Stardew Valley.exe

Either remove the Season part in the json files (if you want the texture to apply for all seasons) or add in specified seasons to the Season part

Is it possible for a mod to mess up this quest that counts how many slimes I've killed? I'm on level 80 of the mines and have certainly killed a lot of slimes. Or do y'all think I should take this to #vanilla-tech-support
I've never encountered this issue and haven't recently downloaded any mods which should effect quests or combat in the time since I last did this quest (which wasn't very long ago)
any issues on a save that has mods belong here, not there
Have you killed the green ones in the earliest levels? I've found that those seem to be the only ones that count. At least last time I tried killing the higher level ones it didn't work
Let me go back down and kill some greens and see, but I'm rather sure I have in the past. One sec.

Odd lol it's working. I have no idea how I managed to get past 29 levels without touching a green slime xD I always thought any slime would work since it doesn't specify. Thanks!!

I was trying to update SMAPI, and I deleted SMAPI from my downloads
I tried to reinstall the new SMAPI but it gives me an error message
If you update smapi, you don't need to delete the old one.
Simply install a fresh one over it, it'll clean itself up. ^^
