Umm, I suppose it kinda worked. My house tiles that I can't change are correct now. I'll just choose different walls and floors that I can change
(I don't really use either of these mods, so I'm not really sure what's wrongβif you want more help screenshots or a description of what's wrong might help?)

Do you have the game installed somewhere other than where steam is installed
And by that I mean a different Drive
If you have extra drives they need to be on the same drive
my Stardew should just be on steam
You can put it in the game folder if you need to
Steam: right click, manage, browse local files
That will tell you where the game@is
it's only on one file

How do you update smapi? I had so much trouble trying to get all the mods loaded the first time.
if you go to https://smapi.io , it should let you download an installer

Just install the new version; the installer will automatically clean up previous versions. (You don't need to configure Steam or GOG Galaxy again.)

no, you don't have to- if there's any mod updates, smapi will tell you when loading the game (in the console)!

ah i see then- and well modding is fairly easy with frameworks like ContentPatcher or JsonAssets, if you ever want to get into it the wiki has a lot of guides

-Rightclick on the folder and click "properties"
- Go to the security tab, and under the list of group or user names, click edit.
-Go through all group or user names and click the allow box for "full control" for all of them.
other than that, i'm not sure what may be causing it

Museum Expansion has a missing file. could you delete the folder and reinstall the latest version?
also, you have some folders that aren't SMAPI mods (assets, New folder, New folder (2), Original)

it could be 1. modder forgot to update the manifest 2. putting an update in the wrong folder (ive done that)
possibly a manifest number error
i removed and updated as per usual instructions T^T
I know it updated recently, so if you're sure you put the mod into the mods folder, you can probably ignore it
you can check the mod page for what the real nunber should be and then change it in the manifest if you're very picky (i do this sometimes for mods that have this error and also haven't updated in years)

Museum expansion has a bug with its current version. Can't remember its current fix but I know it requires the copying and moving of the furniture.png elsewhere
Their new folder structure is different from the old one (I took a peek) , which might explain how the old one worked better. 
So if you've downloaded the latest version, it's the mod that has the problem itself. At least in my knowledge

If you need to fix it, it's weird but go into a house. After 1-2 houses it should fix itself. Worse case limp back home and go to sleep- that works 100% for me'
I'm getting tempted to remove DTZ for the time being. I'm still in Y1 in this playthrough and haven't touched anything to do with the mod yet so I think I'll re-add it after a few more updates have been put out

if the mod has a config.json / Generic Mod Config Menu integration, that's also where it is stored
ye unless a mod specifically says to delete previous versions I usually just overwrite the files
so if you remove the old folder, you'll basically revert the config to default values
i am just checking in - i don't overwrite files when i unzip updates. i have a folder "old mods" and i move the folders into that folder before i unzip
oh, those tiles are probably coming from the town interior tilesheet! downloading https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6098 should clean them up (i think)
i delete the latest update from "old mod" folder before i move the folder from present mod folder
i was a major dope and borked my last save file when I went joja route then used cheats to complete the CC...
i sure felt foolish when folks here and in other discord servers kindly informed me that i should not have done that.

it's just so weird because it isn't showing up like that for me in tiled:
(i don't have rustic walls and floors installed, but that specific tile looks fine)
if you have Lookup Anything installed, you could try enabling tile lookup and seeing what's going on with that tile
and/or patch export Maps/spring_sgf_v2 in the SMAPI console to make sure the tilesheet from that map is loading properly
and/or just deleting and reinstalling that farmhouse mod
the "turn it off and back on again" strategy

i used to do this, but the mod groups thing is sooooo much more convenient
like i literally just have these two icons on my taskbar

and i can click the one for the mod group that i wanna load - no renaming/moving folders necessary

no way i'm ever gonna put a game directly on my taskbar. i could start it via steam, but i change the mod folders too often for it to be even remotely worth setting up groups for that.
you can put them anywhere! so for example:

my bar is already far too filled with different apps i regularely need lol
so i can put mr brand new modding folder in with the stardew valley folder
just make a copy of your mods folder
half the stuff in there is gonna be used by the copy anyway, lets be honest
unless you're getting a download from a friend that contains all of the mods
oh, you don't have to put them on the taskbar! you can also throw them in a random folder like this:
and just open the folder and double-click them to start the game with the mod config you want

i'm not 100% sure because it's been a long time since i've done it - but if you followed step 3 (copied below), you should be good!
Right-click the shortcut, choose Properties, and add this to the end of the Target field:
--mods-path "Mods (multiplayer)"(changing folder name as needed). Don't delete any of the existing text in that field! This should be added to the end of what's already there. Done correctly, it should look something like"your-path-here\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\StardewModdingAPI.exe" --mods-path "Mods (multiplayer)".
to the actual question, as far as i know you just do the same thing that you do for steam
you download smapi, give it the installation path manually in the command window when it prompts you to and then start modded stardew trough the StardewModdingAPI.exe

I was thinking maybe it's associated with June because there was an error mentioning him earlier, but I'm gonna run the game with Happy Birthday and StardustCore updated and see if by some weird off chance, those have to do with it. They were causing issues for me in a multiplayer save the other day, so... gonna check.

you know, that looks like the tile that always gets messed up when you load a TMXL-loaded spouse file with a rearranged tilesheet order into the farmhouse.
I wonder if FS just fixed it rather than figured out what was breaking it?
or if this was just easier than telling people to fix their spouse rooms (which admittedly is quite tricky when you don't know the How tos).
I think the a1210 instruction has him trying to move at 610 to fulfil it. So the first 610 should probably be removed.

On an unrelated note, Happy Birthday 100% is broken with its current update.
I don't think that's breaking the save loading though, I think that's something else. Input String error is generally caused by a typo (in my experience), but it's really hard to figure out where

I had this same issue on a farm that didn't have June, updated Happy Birthday and StardustCore and found the same issue again. June might also be broken, haven't got the chance to check it yet.

ah Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/FarmCave' asset (yet another farm map and [CP] μ²μ λκ΅΄ 리ν
μ€μ³). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.. so it seems the farm map already has a cave replacement that modifies the layout of the cave
it's not impossible to use it with another farm cave, but you'll probably need to make a content patcher patch at least
or check if it has any config options for it
but the easiest way is probably to remove the other mod that replaces the farm cave

so it always applies after the first patch

i guess the simplest way is to delete the files with name assets/LooseSprites/{{season}}_map_sve.png (where {{season}} is spring, summer etc.)

Yeah! I deleted this mod but my game is still bugged for some reason
yes CHONKINS/Cuter Fatter Animals was installed and it gave me error message everytime I tried to run the game.. and after I deleted it I noticed whenever I run the game I can't get out of bed

hm. i don't think the content patcher mods are likely to do that. maybe remove everything except content patcher + the mods that use content patcher and error handler temporarily to see if it helps (you can rename the mod folders so that they begin with . character, smapi ignores them then)
or just move them out of the mods folder of course

I reinstalled and run it without mod still stuck in bed then tried to deleting all the mods and SMAPI and still stuck in bed

what happens when you are stuck, is the character attempting to move when you use directional inputs, or is the game responding to any inputs at all?
when I left click with a sword etc my character swings the sword but there's no movement
I can't walk out of the bed but can swing my axe

mod manager means you have a software to download it for you. however, vortex, nexus' modmanager doesnt work well with stardew mods and will often break them

I have no idea how NPC adventures works but as long as they're not adventuring with you right this minute you should be able to uninstall the Lunna content pack for it

Yeah, that website might or might not have SVO, but if they do they stole it
If they don't, it might just be malware
I would bet they just stole it

Hello, I posted this a couple days ago, but I still can't find the source of this problem. When I try and advance the game past Leo's 6 hearts event where his treehouse gets built in Pelican Town the game just freezes right before it's about to save and I can't go past. If I don't trigger the heart event it saves normally. Would a NPC error cause this? I only get this error from SMAPI https://smapi.io/log/65915f654dc049198ba923c86cca165f
it does say the culprit is some kind of Gremlin NPC, not sure what mod is that NPC from
and also not sure why exactly it's failing
