Hey guys! I moved the greenhouse but the tiles and shadow is still at the original place. SO teh greenhouse is basically still in the same place, but invisible. x3 I use some mods, but I am not sure if thats part of the problem. Has someone experienced this before and knows how to fix it??

Showing my total lack of experience with mods here, but I'm simply looking for a mod (or mod group) that tracks as many of the "collectible" sets in the game as possible. Things I'd like to track if possible without having to leave game for the wiki or my own google sheet:
- Progress on cooking recipe, inventory crafting, and tailoring. PRogress acquiring/placing furniture.
- Uncompleted Achievements
- Collecting all hats/clothes/rings/weapons
- Gifting liked/loved gifts

Hello everyone, I'm having problems with mod called pregnancy and birth events and some other ones that require "contentpatcher" to run them. I have unzipped all the files but every time I try to run the mods trough that stardew modding API this message keeps popping up: These mods could not be added to your game.
[SMAPI] - Content Patcher 1.24.8 because its DLL 'ContentPatcher.dll' doesn't exist.
[SMAPI] - Pregnancy and Birth Events 1.13.0 because it needs the 'Content Patcher' mod, which couldn't be loaded. If anyone could help me with this, I'd really appretiate it. I'm also new to discord and it took me forever to even get here XD All the best for everyone

You can also check the manifest.json to see if one is made a false dependency of the other. In that case, you really don't need to delete anything.
oh wait, the mod page does say that it recommends you to use it alongside the vanilla seasonal cuter whatever its called lol, so it should be fine
That's my hacky way of getting those vanilla characters to function.

Hi is anyone available to help? Some image sprites are either not showing up or appear to be clipped from two separate items
adding a false dependency from the anime portraits to SVE will make it load after SVE, thus making the anime overwrite SVE
however, if SVE has more faces than the anime one (assuming the anime one doesn't do something annoying like Load), then some faces may not appear right

and the only way i found to play with mods again is to reinstall my stardew valley

You could also just live with the fact that vanilla and SVE portraits are gonna be mismatched until the SVE Anime portraits are done.

No, it isn't named correctly. The beach one would be Haley_Beach.png

how do i go about installing furniture mods? i've tried several times but they've never worked 
just replace all the extra custom ones added by SVE with copies of the 4 anime ones
as long as the names match and the number of portraits per PNG is the same, it'l work fine
but it's like this, so do I just edit this in photoshop or what
i have CF installed (the unofficial vers) so i can't think of any reason why it isn't working :(

for CF, mods don't go inside the CF folder anymore
so if you were doing that, that was the old way but that doesn't work anymore
they just go in the mods folder like normal
i wasn't putting the mod into the tile folder like it said to
but i'm gonna try and load it up again
yeah so in this case, you'll have to open up an image software and do some manual copy/pasting, choosing which anime portrait best fits the SVE one
looks like anime is just missing the sad face, the rest you can get by with those 4
that's a bit of work, so you must decide if it's worth it

It works, it just takes a long time
Flash is working on an update to remove the dependency on PyTK
Also don’t go on the old SVE discord, it got hacked and there’s a new one

(the latter part of a mod's unique ID [name.modname] is usually the same or very similar to what it is on nexus, so you can try searching for a keyword)

Yopu should be able to just install the new smapi over the old install and itll update appropriately
Pathos is updating his mods so frequently, I often can't be bothered to update them. So I just accepted the purple lines

hey I'm playing with a friend with a couple cosmetic mods in multiplayer (nothing that changes the game's code, all client-side). About every 5-10 minutes, though, she gets disconnected from my game. I've looked up the issue and we've tried everything from making sure she has the same mods installed, making an exception in the firewall, reinstalling everything, switching wifi networks, etc. and nothing has worked. Is there anything we can do?

it seems my smapi closes as well when my game crashes.. what do i do?
is the game crashing for other reasons?
SMAPI would usually crash when the game crashes, I expect
idk, i have no other mods installed. its just SMAPI. but im not able to check the logs cuz it closes along with the game.

Hi, I have several mods that add craftable items, and now some of them aren't showing up on my crafting menu. They're not recipes that have to be unlocked because they showed up earlier in the save file... Anyone have experience with this? Is it some kind of tile sheet issue or something?

I use the Utility Grid mod suite, and normally you need to level up the farming skill to unlock the craftables. I've never had them show up before leveling up, so that's probably a bug.

I have an issue. Earthy Recolor is supposed to replace the worm spots with 4-leaf clovers in all seasons, but it only does it in winter.

Changing the number of JA items mid-save can cause existing mod items to 'shuffle' but aside from that it's no trouble

we'd also need a log from the other players to figure it out more easily. but, - Expanded Preconditions Utility because you have multiple copies of this mod installed. To fix this, delete these folders and reinstall the mod: Mods\Expanded Preconditions Utility-6529-1-0-1-1608576863 (1)\ExpandedPreconditionsUtility, Mods\Expanded Preconditions Utility-6529-1-0-1-1608576863\ExpandedPreconditionsUtility.. unless the other players have that problem, then it could be the cause
ah well. it seems that the SVE install of the host is pretty much completely broken. i'd honestly suggest making a functioning Mods folder and distributing it between all the players so that you have the same mods

Hi everyone, I have a very unusual situation and I can't stream moded stardew anymore. I was streaming it without issues before the update. Mods are working, game is working, obs is capturing it, but when I hit the go live button (or record) the capture stops on that frame even if I try to play with screen capture (is capturing everything else, exept the movement of the game). If I take the mods down everything works fine. Can someone pls help me?
Hey, getting a very odd/annoying stuttering bug with SMAPI 3.13.4, SDV 1.5.6. Only have SMAPI installed (moved other mods out of the folder). I stutter for around 1s every ~10-15s or so. Does not seem to be tied to doing any particular action in game. Nothing shows up in the errors log. Any idea what could be causing this?

you can try renaming the mod folders so that the mod you want to apply last comes last alphabetically. if it doesn't work then manifest dependencies which is a bit more complicated

that fixed the errors but the portraits and sprites still arent loading for some characters
the mod should change all the vanilla NPCs but for some reason a few of them are still normal like lewis, gus and willy

there's an incompatibility between SVE and the mod, they both try to Load the portraits for the wizard and gunther. looking for love is editing the other portraits after the anthro characters mod, so it's probably overwriting them

Either remove Anthro Characters or SVE. You could try to edit the mod yourself but I wouldn't really try to do that
the anthro mod uses Load on the portraits so you'd have to change it to use EditImage (and make it load after Looking for Love)
Load always comes first so it can't be changed with dependencies either
(this is for the other portraits)

There are patch mods I have installed to make SVE work with the anthro mod
well, another possibility is disabling the patches in looking for love, might be easier honestly. but removing is simplest of course

Do i loose the ability to get achievements (Steam) if I disable them in a save?
So a while ago i wanted to try out some mods and it didn't feel right, like i know they change or spice up the game but its not for me. But my dumbass thought that it was a good idea to play in my main save. I played like an ingame week with some mods that show item prices, luck, if traveling merchant is available, scarecrow radius, stuff like that. Then i removed them, but my concern is that maybe this save doesn't earn me achievements anymore. Could that happen? I say this because maybe there are some mods that give you extra ores and this might cause ConcernedApe to disable achievements on saves that have even been touched by mods. Please help, my main has over 150 hours and was preparing for starting to get all the achievements TIA

Multiplayer on mobile isn't really a thing anyways. There's a complicated process detailed on the forums somewhere which involves installing a mod from someone's random cloud drive so I'll pretty much just never recommend it to anyone.

When I try to open stardewmodapi file it says it can't be opened
you can't open the stardewmoddingapi file in xbox, like ever

I just tried to launch the game like I always do and SMAPI doesn't give any indication that it's running. No mods are loading, no SMAPI console, just vanilla game.
I'm playing on Gamepass on PC, all my mods are still in the folder, mods are enabled, everything is up to date and installed exactly where it was before, and now all of a sudden it's not working
I even tried removing everything (except SMAPI) and still nothing.

When I try to load up our multiplayer farm it just takes me back to the game's initial load up screen. There's red in my smapi, but it doesn't crash. When I try to get the link to my logs, it doesnt work, so this is the best i can offer at the moment. I'll try to see if I can get a log, my apologies.

did you have a log?
config files are generated when you launch the game
also, generally you'd want the content pack configs, not the content patcher config

so i recently started playing stardew valley with mods, i downloaded like 100 mods but some of those mods werent working so i decided to troubleshoot and start from and so i started downloading all the mods again and i came to the conclusion that i cant i play with sv expanded because smapi says PyTK and TMXLoader are out of date, i found a link where there are unofficial updated versions for these mods (i used this link: Unofficial mod updates | Page 78 | Stardew Valley Forums ) and when i downloaded the beta versions from there the mods worked on the smapi loading it was registering them but when when i launched the game and i clicked on the load button to load my recent saves my game crashed so i realised those were the mods not working for me (when i had the official ones from nexusmods my game didnt crash) and i dont know what to do, it either tells me the mods are out of date or its crashing my game - i have the game cracked if that makes a difference

I am using Teh's Fishing Overhaul, however after hundreds of casts, I have not seen a single treasure chest. I have my treasure settings maxed out, i believe. Is it possible that some other mod is preventing treasures?

Never quite sure why, but pytk just doesn't work for some people
realistically, all you can do is wait for mods to move away from pytk and don't use pytk
at all
Basically every major mod that uses pytk is trying to move off it though

How do I ask the bot if after the first skill reset I have to pick a different profession or I can right away prestige the old one ?

you can prestige any skill once you get to level 10
after your first prestige, you get a skill point. It's 1 skill point for the level 5 professions and 2 for the level 10 I believe. If you keep the points you get an xp bonus

Yes. For example , I reset farming. Without prestige at lvl 5 there is 10% chance that I get extra crops . After reset it should be 20%. But I got to lvl 5 and in skill description it still says 10%.
