You may be able to go back further using SaveBackup's old copies, which are saved once a real-life day

Your ridgeside installation is broken because half the Ridgeside mods didn't load, because of the above error

Pretty sure i'm not the only one bringing up this problem but PyTK seems to have some problems loading up and affects a lot of other mods at the same time

probably the forum, although sometimes when mods are too big to go on the forum they'll go elsewhere
What an unofficial update means is that the original author is absent or on hiatus
And their mod broke, so someone released an unofficial update that is compatible with the game
It doesn't mean there are no bugs—frequently unofficial updates are just "the game will load now and it wouldn't before"

its also doing it inside: the famer is standing next to some paddy crops that are close enough to water, but it's only treating 1 of the squares as near water
vanilla rice, but with a Content Patcher patch to make them also grow in summer & fall

Hello there. I'm wondering if I could have your help with something. See, suppose you have a high relationship with... Say, Harvey and Elliott, and you go to the old fisherman and get the shell trinket... And then you think to yourself, "I wish I could save the game tonight, propose to Elliot tomorrow, then go BACK to my other save, propose to Harvey, and live in two different timelines from then on." What's a girl to do? Is there a mod out there that does this?

Hello! I'm having some issues with Stardew Valley in regards to display. My screen occasionally flickers during gameplay. Here are two examples where portions of the screen just flash for brief moments:
It happens frequently enough that I can't enjoy the game.
I've experimented with zoom/UI scale as well as fullscreen and borderless windowed to get rid of it, to no avail. It happens even when my character is standing still, which eliminates controller imput. Turning Vsync off seems to make a bigger mess than what this is. Restarting the laptop does nothing to remedy the issue.
I'm currently running a single mod for the seasonal outfits, but removing it seems to do the trick. Reinstalling the mod brings it back. Is there something wrong with SMAPI, the mod, or is anyone else having a similar issue? I'm still hoping I could run it, but I'm still new to modding in general so any advice would be appreciated!

Hi! I'm attempting to mod SDV on Android, and I keep getting an error in the console about PyTK being skipped due to it's DLL being unable to load. Anyone got any hints on what might be the actual issue? I'm downloading it from the Nexus website, and I've tried about 4 different versions (even went so far as to figure out when the mobile smapi version was released and downloading the first update for the mod after that date)

Frequently enough. It's never an issue until the game has been running about a day or more in-game time.

& the biggest issue with mods loading on android is that android is on 1.4
Also make sure you only have 1 copy in the mods folder!
The only one I have multiples of is SDE, because there are multiples in the download folder.
As the game continues to run, it gets to a point where the flashes happen every 5-10 seconds.
Never looked too hard on that end. I'll investigate and get back to you.
@naive drum The mods that the parser is showing to update to is mainly for smapi 3.13 or later. Smapi on my phone is running 3.7, so I get told that the mod requires smapi 3.13 and wont load regardless.
If a mod's not in the mods folder, as far as SMAPI is concerned it doesn't exist. If its in the mods folder twice it clashes with itself.
Grab the latest version from before December 20, 2020 - that's when 1.5 was released
Lynx - I gave you a link to a wiki page that lists specific versions for mobile. Can you get those first, run a new log, and lets see what else we need to clean up?

I'm not sure what you're trying to do to your phone at this point. Just to confirm: You have the Play Store stardew valley, the most recent android SMAPI, and the PyTK version from 25 September, 2020?

As far as I know it has an updated manifest, so something's going wrong in the update process - can you describe what you're doing?

Looks like you didn't let your game finish loading before uploading this log. The only problems that have occured yet is that you have two copies of Seasonal Cute Characters so neither of them are loading.
I'm just downloading the update like usual, unzipping the file and moving it to the mods file but everytime I run the game it still says one update available?

A log will probably be helpful, to make sure you're not doing something like accidentally putting it in some other game's mod folder
We can't tell because the log you uploaded was from so early in the loading process that it contains almost no information.

I downgraded SMAPI because the mod, PyTK isn't compatible with the version 3.12.0, (as far as I know) and when I try to install SMAPI 3.11.0, it shows an error "Technical details: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'Stardew Valley' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format."

Your game can't load all the custom npcs SVE and your other expansion add because of the multiple copies
The mods require Paritee's BAV, but the SMAPI's supported version is called just BAV. What do I do? Do I keep both? Merge the files? Do a dance number?
After you get rid of all the red errors, you can post another log if there's any other problems happening

The official BFAV from Nexus hasn't been updated in ages, so I wouldn't use that.

you can use that guide to help you with that, SVE is a bit complicated to install.
it used to be even worse heh
back when it was first released, SMAPI couldn't fully replace all the maps in the intro, and this was a big deal because SVE added debris in some of the maps that would be seen in the intro, so there was an XNB replacer component
i think it also required overwriting parts of other mods with partial/incomplete versions bundled with SVE

Stardew Valley Expanded Locations should have a manifest.json; it looks like some of the files are missing from your download.

You can check the custom music files in the sve folder if there's such a music track

No. But you can set the looping for example to false
but i wouldn't delete anything, that just causes issues.

Whenever I click on anything in the chest these things appear. The color square is up there at all times, but the other stuff (highlighted) only appears for a split frame.
I know which mod it belongs to, it's discontinued, but I thought it'd work. I think there's a conflict between that discontinued mod and whatever adds the color square?

Hey anyone know where i can learn how to read the SMAPI error codes as my world started to crash over night after i restarted the game, i tried to both update the mods and disable unnecessary mods (such as multiplayer only mods as i am playing single player) I verified that if i launch the world in smapi no mods does it work

If you aren't on 1.5.5 or later, then it won't work. You would need to find a version compatible with your game's version. That's especially true for people using android. (The current version of smapi would also probably be having issues.)

Check out the Fashion Sense framework and it's associated animated hair and animated clothing mods!
for furniture, possibly go with Alternative Textures. Mostly because an increasing number of furniture packs are being adjusted to work with it, and that means you don't have to pick just one, or have a huuuuuuge catalogue to scroll through. You can just grab a nice chair, apply the paintbucket to the chair, and pick exactly what variant you want out of the various ones you've installed. Much more user-friendly.
(Meanwhile I went to play and was hit with a wall of purple, so I just poked my nose in to see if something blew up. But no, it was just Pathos feeling productive XD)

So many mods updated in the last week or so. How bad is it if I just copy the update over the old folders? Honestly feels like a pain to redo all configs or to copy each on individually.
Especially since I forgot which ones actually have configs to start with. ;-;

It doesn't work if the mod author rearranged and didn't mention it
For SMAPI mods it's usually no problem

SVE doesn't need to because everything is inside the content.json
But for RSV for example, the content.json is nothing but Includes
That's also going to happen to SVE eventually because working out of a single content.json is hellish

Leave SMAPI on your desktop, it'll make the mods folder itself. The only thing you want in the mods folder are unzipped mods

So the compatibility issue; you'll have to either pick only one of the mods or you'll have to edit the content file on the one you don't want to overwrite the other
They're both trying to overwrite accessories and hairstyles but you can only have one doing it so 
there's a couple of attempts at a Stardew-specific mod manager. The main reason Vortex stumbles is 1) it can't install SMAPI because SMAPI is so different to the mods, and 2) if the mod has multiple options - like, if you can pick which set of portraits a custom NPC uses - Vortex has a bad habit of trying to run all the options at the same time.
might just not be compatible maybe? id consider merging all the mods into one (copy paste whatever thing is edited in 2 of the mods & replace thing in the other mod asset) using an image editor
Open it up in any editing program (notepad, etc, etc) and look for the part that says it's doing hairstyle/accessories stuff and just yeet that part out
Throw it through that to make sure it's working all good

Sorry again. Thanks for explaining your use case! The children wandering feature was the one causing havoc and making children walking in circles at the bus stop because the schedule collided with the wandering. So my fix in unofficial6 checks the schedule. You didn't have one so the check made the game crash. The version I sent you yesterday fixes that but disables wandering without a schedule as a side effect. Here is a new version that is supposed to allow wandering without a schedule.

I alt+tab a lot while i play games and its just clutter 99% off the time
there is but only on some OS

usually people hide it to use a controller

the smapi console will tell you when things go wrong, so you can figure out why
alright, its not much of a problem, i was just curious if i could hide it in the taskbar tray or something
