Hey, goes anyone know if theres a version of pathos's Data Layer mod that works on android? I dont see any on the nexus page but the smapi compatability site doesn't list it as broken on android.

Oh, no, it's not an issue. As long as the skins are named correctly "horse_5", you don't need any folders. The folders are purely there in case you want to have things organized, they can be named whatever you want or have none at all

folder doesn't matter much
You can either make a folder for them, or place them directly in the assets folder
The only thing that matters is the naming of the skins themselves
just don't overlap the names and it'll be fine

depends on your definition of 'work'. Some will work locally, but not globablly. Some will cause errors on the farmhand's client.
even if they don't cause them on the host.

I know it was addressed yesterday but I just wanted to give a proper explanation.
You can think of ARV 1.0 as a mod that exclusively adds Sterling to the game. First release is about him and his story, so I considered just not included Mia an Henry. However, since they're important to his story I decided to keep them in as antisocial NPCs. This is made so that they don't bog down your achivements, keep you from perfection and so they don't make your gameplay more difficult. This also means you can't befriend them, give them gifts or have them appear on your social bar.
ARV 2.0, the next major update coming to ARV turns Mia from an antisocial NPC into a fully fledged character who can be befriended, romanced, and has events, outfts, recipes and stories a-plenty! Same wth Henry in 3.0. Sterling is a VERY hefty character with a lot of content, and so will Henry and Mia, hence me taking my time to release and develop all of them separately

Yup! Neither of the anime portrait mods you mention are listed in your log. This means they're not in the Mods folder, which is why they're not showing up in game. The installation steps should simply be extracting the zip files to the Mods folder

I don't use SVE but from what I've seen, portrait mods need to be made specifically for SVE to work properly

Ok yes I see them in your log. I think that's what the problem is, then. You can search on nexus or ModDrop for something like Seasonal Cute Characters SVE and see if something comes up.
You can also check the SVE mod page on nexus under Requirements, in the section Mods Requiring This File, and look for portrait mods

You need a seasonal portraits mod that was made specifically for SVE, as I mentioned. The version you have is not for SVE, and you use SVE, so it won't work.

Ok I've since learned that it depends on the portraits since SVE doesn't change everything. In that case I'd recommend searching for portrait mods for SVE, and also checking that if you have a portrait mod you like that isn't specifically for SVE, that it says it's compatible on the mod page description or comments.
If the portrait mod is specifically for SVE, or it says that it's compatible with SVE in the description or comments, you're good to go. If neither of those is true, you'll likely have to learn some mod writing skills to get it to work.

run the smapi installer, once its done installing it'll give you a command written in green so you can copy it. copy it, open steam > go to your library > right click stardew > properties > and paste the line you copied on the launch options at the bottom > close the page

it might be an issue with the save since you were playing on a pirated version, use the steam version and create a new save and see if the issue continues

DSV for vanilla villagers is the main mod, airyn made the SVE npcs their own version of DSV

Good evening everyone! I'm using the mod Adopt n Skin to have more animal skins but after I added more horse skins, my own horse keeps changing skin everytime I start the game lol What am I missing here?

try the latest beta anyway, i believe the horse issue is fixed in that version! it works for singleplayer too, the fixes in it just focus on rewriting multiplayer functionality

I'm new to this game - I got some mods and they're not working, installed with Vortex. The mods are "Anthro Farmer Continued" and "Anthro Characters Continued", both made for Content Patcher
yeah Vortex is terrible and not recommend, honestly

you can launch StardewModdingAPI directly, or you can run the installer again and grab the launch option string it gives you at the end of the installation process and put that in your Launch Options in Stardew Valley's Properties on steam
take the installer out of the game folder and run the installer again, then try launching

You could save edit to switch your farm over to the Forest Farm
then install mod
then install Reset Terrain
and then move your buildings back to sane locations

2018 is a very early map
you'll have issues, say, with moving the Greenhouse

I just set up SMAPI and all that, opened stardew and it's windowed. No problem, I switch to fullscreen and open the drop down menu to select 1920 x 1080. It's not there on the list now, which is odd

anybody know about sleepy eye? When in multiplayer and my friend tries to place the tent it instead places it on me, no matter where I am, and makes me go to sleep then crashes the game. The smapi log has no errors at all, but i do have a lot of mods that need updating.

So I am playing on a world with free love and all its associated mods on. I have 1 cabin on the farm and what I'm wanting to do is make a bachelor house and a bachelorette house. With the Custom Spouse Rooms mod you can move spouse rooms to different parts of the house but you need to create a content pack. well, in JA packs the filenames of object.json and such files should all be in lower case as far as i know. sometimes they have problems too
then producer framework mods are another thing. there's actually probably one with bad capitalization on your mods Ignoring content pack: [PFM] Easter Bunny 1.2.0 from /Users/wilmatanyaarchibaldhoney/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS/Mods/[PFM] Easter Bunny It does not have any of the required files.. usually that happens because the ProducerRules.json and ProducersConfig.json files don't have that capitalization

For example, recolors like the ones you listed may all try to texture dirt, cliffs, etc. The game will have to decide which one actually takes effect.

The only way you can tell is if you're expecting to see certain textures from one mod, and you're not seeing it
Sometimes content creators use overlapping mods in their recommendations. I remember Liss the Lass doing that though I can't recall which ones weren't compatible.

Hello, I have problem with installing smapi beta. After downloading .net5 it still says that i don't have it installed. Does anyone knows what to do? I tried reinstalling it, removing other .net files on my pc, but it still doesn't work.

It took a while for me to load it, but it didn't load a map texture, the mists, because of it
Gotta either cut down on your mods lists, SVE is massive ( Also you have mods that conflict with each other, pretty sure you were told to remove them before ) , or update to the beta version

The mist error said OOM. I had it before too, and the weird thing about the mist map OOM, is that it doesn't actually crash the game, not to begin with
You can keep playing it, but it really crashes when you try to save, like usual

I tried removing the farm map and it works, so I think it has to do with the solo four corners map and/or daisyniko tilesheets, but I'm not sure what could be causing it. There's no log errors either

OutOfMemoryException errors on Windows mean that your game ran out of memory. The game only has access to a small part of your computer's memory by default. Yeah, I'm working on a 1.5.5 version that will completely eliminate that error, but if fixing the JA error doesn't fix it, deleting the data folder should.
