What's the latest version for smapi android?
Iβve been experiencing problems with my mods in my game for the past two weeks, I sent the same mods to my friend for them to test the mods out and their game runs the mods with no problems. Why is that?
If i unistall SMAPI and reinstall it will it fuck up my mods?

I can't get Stardew to load at all. It crashes basically on the startup screen. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything - SMAPI, moddrop, the mods, the game. How can I best wipe everything and start from scratch?
Did you use steam? I've messed up so badly before I just straight up uninstall steam to get rid of everything

The first link should have info for verifying your vanilla files as well. (Also, are you on the latest version of SMAPI? There's a known issue with certain mods crashing it.)
My crops keep disappearing, and I have a felling NoFenceDecay might be the culprit. Are there known issues with this mod?

I can't get my game to launch once I download mods. I've never had any trouble with them before. The app launches but I just get a spinning wheel of death and the app says it's not responding. No errors show in smapi. I'm on a 2013 Macbook pro running OS Catalina. This is just me taking a huge swing, but on my little Windows laptop, when I started modding the 32 bit SDV it for some reason zoomed out nicely on my screen and it was great! Now at 64 bit it's zoomed in and huge (I mean probably normal but now it seems huge) even if I use the UI to zoom out to 75% and messed around with settings. Does anyone magically know why that might have happened previously and how I could reproduce it? I figure not, but also why not try

the world map is patched by SVE and RSV content patcher components probably, so i would look into those
alternatively you could use patch export https://github.com/Pathoschild/StardewMods/blob/develop/ContentPatcher/docs/author-guide.md#patch-export in the game to get the already patched world map as a file if you want to modify it from that point

Oh! I'm glad you're enjoying the trees. π I've never actually played with JA, but that sounds like a good idea. Real life stuff has me on a break from modding right now, so i don't know when I'd be able to get to making a JA version. If someone else wants to throw one together before i can get to it, that's fine by me. Just credit me for the art π
Any know any fixes for this? Iβve had challenging community bundles downloaded since I started my game but I forgot to change the config to PPJA_SVE and I completed the spring forage in with vanilla challenging, now when I change it to PPJA_SVE it shows spring forage as completed but the other bundles that you get from completing spring foraging arenβt unlocked (crops and fish which unlocked when I completed forage in vanilla). Is there any way to fix without starting a new game or resetting my progress? Thanks!

so update your SMAPI and the mods listed in the "suggested fixes" bit of the log that you linked me, and your game should work fine!
now with the charcter portriats some i got updated some didnt like maru
Might be that the mod that you're using doesn't touch Maru

but it might also be that the mod that you're using has a config file (editable with any text editor) that can be used to turn on editing some portraits that it can edit, but doesn't by default to reduce the chance of conflicts
(you can also use Generic Mod Config Menu)

Looks like you need to delete and redownload, there are a lot of errors there
also it probably relies upon features of the newer content patcher versions

i don't think the DCBurger's Portraits compatible version of that mod is actually compatible with vortex as it has different install instructions than most stardew valley mods
vortex only supports "put in Mods folder" mods, not "overwrite [x] other mod" mods, and it only reliably supports ones that are updated by overwriting

you have DCBurger's High Res Portrait mod so you'll want the Sprites from Main and the first optional file

@tired brook Hey a week or something has passed and my pc antivirus still detects smapi version 3.12.2 as a virus. Sometimes it just works but the second time I try to launch it, it says that smapi is a virus and them it just deletes my smapi file from the stardew valley folder. I really don't know what to do anymore, I even unistalled smapi like 10 times and still doesn't work. Help please.
you can whitelist smapi or turn off your antivirus until smapi is installed

ah, when i had sve, rsv and es with 190 other mods it would take me 2-3 days before getting an OOM
once i hit 200 it wouldnt go past a day

I'll just stick to playing two in a row then. I've disabled preloading music and that let's me get through 2 ok.
My game only takes 4-5 mins to start and load a save.

is anyone able to help me out with my smapi log? I've got a large portion of red errors which all say "Insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program." SDV is installed on my local disk (C:) which has 32 GB free space, so unsure why this would be the case.

you can disable your mods before launching a vanilla game, and you can have separate mod folders so you can choose which modpack to load when you start your game and have a few different saves that require different mods

what's likely if you removed a mod that was changing the bed, and so when the bed loaded without the mod there were no graphics to load

might be some (bugged) modded item/whatever stored/placed somewhere, but i don't really know
it's easier to figure it out based on which mods you removed tbh. Otherwise you could slowly add your mods back in one by one until the errors stop

yeah but they're more 'cheaty'. cjb cheats can increase player speed, money, club coins, golden walnuts, change your skill levels, finish the community center, speed up machines, and then cjb item spawner can spawn any item (modded or not)

Hi guys, Im still having this problem where all my tmxl buildings disappear overnight and sometimes appear randomly. I use 64bit SV but the same issue is also in the 32bit version. Can the immersive farm map of SVE cause this?

Yep, we have the same mods. I uploaded my mods folder onto google drive and sent it over to them
they don't seem to be installed, your friend's log only has the default mods that smapi installs

help what was the name of the mods that makes characters shy or smthn
I need help getting portraits (via portraiture) to work on MacOS? The mod files only provide png files while the actual game files use xnb files. idk if this is a cause on it's own, but I also use portrait mods for other mods without xnb files, however it just crashes my game after entering the loading screen when choosing your save file in the load menu.

Does anyone know if there is a diverse SVE version of the DCBurger's style portrait mods? Or if the original mod and the SVE version are compatible with SVO?
Mods use png files and such instead of XNB because XNB overwrites game files, which can cause serious issues. You don't want a mod to use XNB, you want them to use png or other file types
DSV isnt compatible with SVO or SVE (unless you turn off the portraits that sve alters in the dsv config), but no, there isnt a diverse version of the DCBurger portraits

can you zip up your mod folder and send it their way so they can replace theirs? and then try again and see if the error persists
That's actually what I did, I zipped up the contents of my mods folder and sent it to them and they extracted everything into their mods folder after deleting everything that was in there before
I know when I was trying to send over my mods for multiplayer, some of the ways I was trying to send them would screw up big time, as in, wouldn't include anything inside of the actual folders
So they got the folders, but the contents were gone
@hoary edge whoever is playing on windows needs to reinstall SVE from the zip fill again as it did not install correctly. Happened to me. Unzip directly to mod folder, don't copy and paste

which mod are you trying to use with portraiture?
i personally use DSV because of how detailed it is, but i use DCBurger styles for custom NPCS (orangepie's and lunakatt's)
the exact mods I'm using are the Dcburger high-res portraits, lunakatt's SVE Dcburger portraits, as well as the boarding house Dcburger portraits (all of them are the high-res versions, hence why I'm using them with portraiture)
can you send a screenshot of the portraits folder inside the portraiture folder?
I didn't know exactly which one you wanted to see, so I took 3 screenshots
the third one is all the assets from the three portrait mods inside the Dcburger portrait folder
i think the issue is that you combined the sve ones with the vanilla ones

you'd need to reinstall them, make one folder for the vanilla characters and one for sve i assume

Accounts are free though, and while you have the option to download things a paid route, all it does it make downloading go a bit faster. There's zero point in paying for it, as pretty much all mods except beefy boys like SVE take only a few seconds to download on the free, "slow", download
Yknow what would be cool? If Sdv and Sdve collaborated and made Sdve a "add-on". Like how on xbox or pc you can biy like a sims add-on for pets, but you can make a Sdve world instead of a normal Sdv world.

See if it works okay if they drag and drop the portrait files into the original mod files (how OrangePie does theirs)
I got an error message when installing jasper from Oranges because the original portrait sheet was shorter than his 'seasonal' change ones

@opaque violet I use 64bit and I usually throw all the portraits into Portraiture. Regular DCBurger still works in 64bit but sometimes with a lot of mods there's... glitches. And its easier to use portraiture

Nope, your game might though if you're not using 64 bit or you just have a slow computer. They're both big mods

i was updating my mods and then i relaunched the game to check what else i needed and then this happened
your mods are very outdated
update them and then relaunch the game
also you have multiple copies of these mods
remove the extra ones
it is hard when some mods already have these mods in them XD
it's mostly only SVE that does that
I've never really seen any other mod that does that so don't need to worry about it too much

but no I wouldn't delete any of the mods you need for big mods. I might try reinstalling them but half the time if there's an error with those mods but they're up to date, they're just reporting having trouble with your other mods

normally it's [CP] but yeah they just go straight into mods. Most mods do regardless of what they're called

Hi! I'm back for some more help haha. I managed to get the mod to stop crashing and the portraiture function (switching the portrait folders the game uses by pressing p) to work, but now the game only uses Vanilla portraits despite it using modded folders
all pngs in the folders are correct and everything
in your SMAPI log you should see that's it's assets are loaded with no errors, and when you load the game the town will look different from vanilla, among other things

Hi friends! I'm playing on Android and I just had to do a big delete and reinstall cause I....broke something, I guess haha. Now I'm starting fresh and I wanted to ask...Ive only got CJB simple cheats menu so far but when I edit the button to open the menu in the config, it stops working :( any ideas?
"Vanilla" is always the default folder. Usually I put modded pictures in the "vanilla" folder. Otherwise in-game you need to press a hot-key to switch image folders in-game. The pathways for you images if you're using the portraiture mod should look like: "Mods\Portraiture\Portraits\Vanilla"

hm... it seems you don't have any errors and the warnings are mostly for Zuzu, which is in beta. My guess is you don't need to worry about it and you can just play. Be careful about updating Zuzu within the same save file though, because there can sometimes be a lot of changes between each update.

Looks good. Keep in mind each PNG needs to have the same name the game uses for the NPC, so for example with NPCs who's name changes halfway through their portrait may stop working
mainly you need two portraits for ||leo and parrot boy||

a friend and I are trying to play multiplayer, but for some reason, the game always gives problems... As we play with mods, it takes me a while to get connected. When I get connected, in my friend's game it's 13:00PM, but in my game it starts at 9:50AM and the game crashes

mainly your log is just saying you're missing dependencies? so just grab the ones you're missing. CP, TMX, Custom Music, and FarmTypeManager. I'm surprised you don't have custom music though since a copy is included in the SVE mod. Usually we have ppl downloading 2 copies, not completely missing copies

i got it a while back. i don't know if i can use the item spawner for it. it's basically a reskin that i'm not super upset about
if you're wondering, the mods are: legendary weapons and remember your umbrella. some of the weapons have their sprites mixed up but removing the umbrella mod restores everything.

pytk doesnt have any particular problems with x64, you do however have to not copy your x64 install into your 32 bit install or it throws a fit.

Everything works ok, but there are various mods I have (I play with over 150 mods) which have updates that add fixes/functionality and I would LOVE to get them working properly.
pytk tries to load the 32 bit assembly if it sees "Stardew Valley.exe" in it's directory, note the space
PYTK isn't the problem it's PlatoTK

No, there are two different mods pytk was the original and platoTK is what will take its place, but it's still in the works.

yeah, they copied the 64 back into the 32 (which is not a great idea, but there's nothing for it now to fix that other than completely starting over)

yeah looking at the log now, that's definately your problem
pytk specifically looks for the 32b exe in its folder, if it finds it, it loads the 32 bit assembly (I first encountered this problem with trying to trick vortex into seeing the 64 bit client)
the main difference in 32 and 64 is the 32 has a space in it's name, all of the other clients are all 1 word

smapi complains about empty vortex folders, those arent actual errors

you can also get folders with config folders but nothing else in them using vortex, which smapi also complains about as 'blah folder has files, but none are a manifest' this also isnt really an error

if that's the standard joja shop it gets replaced entirely by sve I think, don't generally even check the shop in jojamart so dunno

one of the workarounds i did for awhile was the save anywhere mod, and i would just save randomly throughout the day...
but that mod has its own issues
Yeah, SVE (plus others) put me at the memory limit. Only way around it is to go to 64 bit. You can enable large memory address aware flag (via DL program) but you'll hit it again if you have other programs open. I went to 64 bit to alleviate the problem.

At smapi.io you'll find instructions for installing the 64bit version. It's a bit of a setup process though.

moving to x64 is mostly sending a command to steam to download the linux version, then running an installer over it to make it loadable to windows
Alright I'll poke around to figure it out...
the x64 client has various quirks being an unoffical thing, but it will get you away from oom errors assuming you have decent ram on your machine
I noticed that when i play single player with even more mods I never run into this issue...
It's not hard. It just takes a while.
split screen probably speeds it up some, but sdv in general atleast decently modded does leak memory

yeah, inet can attenuate pretty bad if your provider is tinkering with stuff in their backend, usually worth giving it a test with speedtest.net or similar, usually clears up in hours

mine just randomly decides to take 2-3 times longer than usual, its kind of annoying.

They typed in the wrong stuff in the manifest. It happens sometimes. If it annoys you, you can go into it and edit it yourself, otherwise it can just be ignored

You're using a PlatoTK version that doesn't work anymore, which is breaking a lot. As for the crops, do you have multiple mods that add the same crop? Usually to fix that, some crop modders will have the names be slightly different than default. Like if two mods have carrots, one will be named carrot, the other will be named wild carrot to avoid issues
do grass mods not show up on the mod menu ?

with the PlatoTK i need it so i can use most of the mods? For the multiple crops can i leave them without having issues within game? also with the TMXL map toolkit idk how to fix that it gives a long line of errors coming from that. Not sure if i can leave them there without a issue within game

TMXL depends on PyTK when looking at the mod on Nexus, so I think that would help with those

Yeah! I would fix them real quick, it shouldn't take too long. I'm not an expert, but since TMXL depends on PyTK, without the proper version that map tiles aren't loading properly, which is affecting a lot, it's a big mod especially for expansions and NPCs which you have and would work normally (I use a lot of the same ones).
So! First, delete your PyTK, and download the updated version from Nexus.
Then! It looks like you have two versions of Ancient crops, one might be within a bigger mod you downloaded (I had this problem with PPJA, I downloaded a big pack that had multiples and ended up with duplicates)
I'd definitely do it before playing since it is so important to some of your mods
i got a updated PyTK and with the duplicates should i go into one of the mods and just delete the duplicates without deleting the mods? becuase some need these mods to work with the others
I would try specifically looking for another [JA] Ancient Crops folder, in that case you can delete that specific folder if you find you have two with that name, which I suspect you do from the errors. I'd look in the PPJA folders for that specific JA folder. Otherwise it might be better to just delete them individually.
@frozen notch those mods are fine, you don't need to uninstall them
they just might corrupt paired the cp mods that are conflicting

those mods are just libraries and tools for other mods
they don't actually do anything by themselves

no changes, this morning I played and everything was fine then I tried to play tonight and it was gone

Have you checked in Smapi's backup save folder? Me and my cousin literally lost over an entire week randomly without a single error or issue. The save backup folder saved our behinds
i think the mod author is still active and will fix it if its broken
it said it saved, I ended the day waited for the your process has been saved message and ended the game

@shrewd gate [MFM] Ancient Crops 2.1.3 because it requires mods which aren't installed (ppja.ancientcrops).
I did! I thought the file was corrupted and I ended up just messing everything up even more lol
If a mod has other "mods" nested in it's folder, like CP, FTM, MFM, TMX, etc, those are needed. It's if there's multiples of one of those folders that can cause dupe issues
In that case I usually delete and redownload, so maybe redownload the PPJA. And hopefully someone who knows more than me, which is most people, can help more!

Smapi comes with a mod that backups saves, yeah. Probably doesn't hurt to have a second mod to help with it just in case things decide to die
