It doesn't look like Grandpa's Farm patches the greenhouse at all, but I will have to look at both and how farm warps to greenhouse I guess, not sure offhand !

When he goes inside his coop, a new chick hatches and the naming appears but nothing can be done. Can't type the name, can't exit the screen, game is as good as frozen and he needs to leave when entering that coop. It appears it's a bfav error? @pine fjord Finally got folders sorted so I could test, and that specific greenhouse works for me alone and with the farm (which doesn't edit greenhouse) so I'm wondering if it's something to do with being on an old save
It did work for me on the old save I checked, but since I have to cheat stuff to test it's not perfect. I know you disabled it for now but I will poke at it more when I get back later if someone doesn't see it, because I'm not sure what happened hehe
cherry knows about customize anywhere, it's a bit weird with the new hairstyles atm but mostly works

My Pokémon Music Pack wasn’t working the way I wanted, so I had to go and open the content file to see what configurations were needed. Took me about twenty minutes to figure that out...
Okay I really want to cull my JA and possibly custom machine mods. Is there a quick way to do this or am I best to just destroy or sell everything?
I'm not sure what's up, but you have some mods you can update, could you try updating so we can narrow down a bit? The mods that need updating are listed at the top of your log with convenient links
I don't think there's a quick way. I think it's destroy / sell everything, then remove the JA mods but leave JA installed. It'll do a bit of cleanup after, if it's needed

Before anything else, please keep in mind that this is a busy time of year and mod authors have their own lives. Please be patient with them and everyone else trying to help, and if you have a lot of mod problems consider checking out the huge update on its own before diving back into modding :)...

yellog's isn't updated for 1.5, beds are now on the furniture sheet. you can try another retexture like modern gothic interior, that one i know is working!

sorry to be a bother. interacting with some of the new content from 1.5 on the map will just show the strings instead of text. for example, ||willy's first boat ride dialogue, the nut hints from the parrot.|| it's not a big deal, except for ||new character intros for birdie and parrotboy.|| it'd skip the scene and teleport me out of bounds. not really getting errors in smapi except for the skipped cutscenes. do you know which types of mods are most likely to be the issue, or should i just smack in the smapi log?

@restive zodiac Really sorry for the ping !! I just figured I'd update, as I did a few things.
- I changed from GF back to IFR2 to see if it was an issue with GF but didn't work
- Went to an old save file that was is in IFR2 and had the greenhouse working to see if it was an issue with my save file, didn't work either.
- Went to vanilla maps, the greenhouse works perfectly there and can navigate the greenhouse, with greenhouse mod or no mod.
- Took out the modded greenhouse and tried sve's maps again and i'm still behind the greenhouse map aka can't navigate it so i'm ruling out its a modded greenhouse issue
Still no SMAPI error either. Not sure how to unfuck up my greenhouses in sve maps anymore
but at least I'm happy to have narrowed it down

@stark bronze the format is ModAuthor.ModName there, so the mod is by hadi and it's a soda mod. Look up soda on Nexus
to .tmx instead of .tbin

here it is. sorry it took a second. i took out everything that smapi said needed updates (the one that's still there is updated, it's the version in the manifest) or was incompatible and double checked that it was still happening. this log was for the text on 1.5 content just showing strings instead of the proper text

As for specific SMAPI, the latest one is good o:
don't worry too much about it, it's because of 1.5 changes. some mods that use TMXL may have some issues with tilesheet order though

I did that thing where I opened the game to check a weird save but forgot about it and went afk, leaving it running for hours in the background. The thing was that I had it set to not pause while window was not in focus, and that specific save had a big error of death on nightly event save, so when the day ran out and it tried to save, SMAPI just started scrolling red.

you can do that easily @opal sun by just making a folder named something like .remove for testing (it can be named anything, it just needs the dot) and putting half your mods into it. the dot tells SMAPI not to load the folder

Hello! I'm playing in the Brazilian Portuguese version and the bug was resolved in the singleplayer version, but it still happens when I host the game. I don't have the lookup everything mod, just mods that change mobs and npcs appearences.
Also, the change of "1 day remaining" to "Final day"...
the mermaid one was the oldest CP mod (my file was from 2018) so i targeted it early. presumably it was a "lazy" xnb to CP conversion. let that testify that CP mods that are stealth xnbs will still goof you up!
(I didn't either and then laughed at myself a little because I did it the "long" way of carefully reading and thinking about error and then remembering and confirming vs actually seeing it in the log 😄 )

On the one hand it's true that for example a million-mod log or something can make it hard to spot the source of a problem, but I think most people are not very judgy about whatever mods those happen to be, and we've gotten some weird ones 😄
the other option is to try switching back to english to try to push thru that scene

Actually I think I figured out where I messed up
more animals is outdated, use adopt and skin instead
i would say in general you might want to consider swapping to adopt and skin. it'll still let you have multiple pets and skins for animals, but it's much more recent

starting shouldnt matter, if you dont try to complete the center any
it depends on whether bundle mods are functioning correctly

either way, you should be able to add bundle mods at any point in a playthrough
I certainly did in 1.4.5 (add both before starting the save, as well as mid-playthrough)
What happens if you already completed some bundles?
yeah, the only thing would be if you completely any vanilla ones, and added a 'harder' one after the fact, they would stay complete
they stay completed
so you'd lose out on doing them, thus why not doing center if you plan on that

it depends! Flower Valley edits the town buildings, and optionally edits the farm buildings. So you could use Flower Valley alongside a mod that edits the farm buildings
However, if the other mod also edits the town buildings, it will conflict with Flower Valley

I faced this bug with my friend while playing online
- Go to %appdata%/StardewValley/Saves and find the folder of the farm that you're having trouble with
- Open that folder. Then use notepad to open the file with the same name as the folder (make sure it's not the one with "_old" on the end)
- ctrl + f search for "savefix". You'll find an entry that looks like <lastAppliedSaveFix>31</lastAppliedSaveFix> (NOTE: if there's a number greater than 31 in this field, do not proceed)
- Change the "31" to "30"
- Save and exit. Now boot up the game and see if your file is fixed

Tyvm ! I believe the animals not moving from their spot bug happened while I still had A&S but i'm about to put it back on and confirm
When I tried this before, this is what happened:
- Verified files through Steam
- It told me 1 file was reacquired
- Opened game through Steam, which launched the vanilla game instead of via SMAPI
- Reinstalled SMAPI
- Same error happened and same base file corrupted
Verifying/reacquiring the file just seems to uninstall SMAPI, and reinstalling SMAPI seems to recorrupt the file 😦
try redownloading the SMAPI installer

Verifying the files just causes the vanilla game to launch. I really have no idea how to get SMAPI running on my Mac without that one file getting recorrupted, and with SMAPI enabled, when I try to open a saved file it freezes trying to load the new day.
I didn't think about just trying it that way.
the SMAPI compatibility page is only for C# mods, not content packs (which the farm map is), so that's why it's not there
Try starting a new farm and see if that works
I think some mods are temperamental about being removed from saves

I tried that already. I removed every mod from the folder and just tried launching with SMAPI and it froze on load.
(Be a few minutes, there are several variants and it really just needs to be combined now that it's 2 years later

My friend and I seem to be having some trouble in multiplayer where they will crash randomly when going to random areas like the mountain area. Sometimes it works fine other times they'll get stuck in a black loading screen. Attached is their smapi log. We have mods installed but the error messages they're getting seem to imply the problem might be with smapi in general or the game itself

Hey I'm ot sure if anyone saw it before but I'm currently using BJS Time Skipper in my save and the UI for it is glitched and things, so i tried setting a key bind for skip a week and it's not working. Help me after you help this other person please :>

If it helps at all, Snow, basically what is happening currently, is every time I go to bed, all clones get assigned IDs and all skins randomize
sometimes at some point during the day the IDs go back to 0 🤔
even if it says compatible, that just means it loads, not that it has no bugs

Idk about keybind specifically, but UI code did change in 1.5
So that would explain the glitches in UI

the others, as i said earlier, are because the internal name of KRS changed and other mods haven't updated their manifests with the new name

The most obvious ones are CJB Cheats Menu and CJB Item Spawner, available on nexus
The rest is relative. There are lots of quality of life mods you could tweak to be more cheaty

i assume you'd be having the other players get the same mods, ax? the only ones i'm not sure about are cacti hurt you, charliethechicken, and demetrius visits cave because i'm not 100% what they do/how they work. the rest look like they should be ok!
however i'm not sure if coffee maker works in 1.5 because there was a new coffee maker item added in vanilla
theres been no errors on my side, though i suppose i should remove the coffee maker mod. still one of my favorites
yeah i haven't tested it, the error may only come up when you actually have the new item? or it may well work fine
also i'm planning to play stardew with someone who has no mods. which is why most of the ones i have installed are mainly minor stuff like texture replacements/etc

please remember my birthday, craftable mushroom boxes, karmylla spouse room edits, home sewing kit, plantable palm trees, PFM and the coffee maker, JA and all JA mods, STF and all STF mods, and tractor mod all need to go in order to play with someone in vanilla, and i'm not sure about the frameworks you have no content packs for
oh, and petinteraction and possibly custom fixed dialogue

yup, anything that adds new content will break if both players don't have it installed. also, home sewing kit was obsoleted by vanilla!
Spouse room edits could be fine if they are up to date and only aesthetic
but it's always better to be as trim and synced up as possible so no argument there
I was wondering if someone could shed some light onto how the Seed Catalogue is meant to work! Do I sell the crops, or the seeds? I've sold quite a few parsnips and the menu is still empty when I interact with the box

Well, the main reason I wanted to use it was to introduce a level of progression to the game because I'm also using Seeds Are Rare and Better Mixed Seeds
unrelated to the modding section specifically, but i do wish to state here temporarily that the Quarry + blocked by a boulder Summit(?) area in 1.5 still spawns forgeables even if you can't access those areas yet. not sure where i would report that, though... i haven't been here in a few months

So like, I wanted a way to be able to buy crop seeds I got from the mixed seeds once I grew and shipped them
i'm not sure if that'd qualify as a bug though, forage spawns in the quarry before you unlock it as well
To be fair, forage used to spawn in entirely inaccessible areas, anyway
ahh yeah, i'm not sure if space has thought about that use case--iirc it was selling the crops but it might be that seeds are rare is the issue and not seed catalogue

also yeah. like the screen went black, started to SLOWLY fade in like it was about to crash, things stuttered for a bit. Then this one tree fell over and i got a ton of sap.

yeah, that was my main thought too. i don't think having them spawn in those locations is ideal however, especially because the Railroad location (when i was testing out Foraging in 1.5)- a forgeable item continued to stay in an inaccessible area for days (this isn't even talking about how the Tracker skill isn't visual friendly & barely works as intended for the Bustop map)
