well snow-rrin is there a way to make it compatible though? i don't really need the reimagined mod but i would like to have it
both SVE and SVR2 patch the same maps, SVE changes maps a lot so NPC schedules won't work with reimagined and new houses and things won't be there. i suggest creating a second mod folder for SVR2

I use it with and without SVE
A Toned Down Stardew is another great mod (though Rustic Country Interiors is also great)
some i haven't used but sound good if you're into characters from other media are roronoa zoro, toshinori yagi, and lucikiel

there was a permissions issue a while ago when flash was using karmylla's maps with SVE, i think the mod page says something about what happened, but you can't use them together since they edit the same maps

Karmylla's Immersive Maps and Stardew Valley Expanded are no longer compatible. Remove one of them to fix the error. (When downloading a mod update, make sure to read the file description for update instructions!)

SVE used to use karmylla's, but karmylla pulled permissions for flash to use it
cut the stuff that I like from Karmylla's and paste it into SVE's town maps
I really like the idea that the Pierre Plans Ahead mod does
well i'll just use whatever features in karmylla's that look like they came from expanded to make it look nicer

@dire fractal Reimagined and Reimagined2 are two different mods. My mods are all compatible with Reimagined2 (sometimes a terrain reset is required) but have not been tested fully with Reimagined which makes some MASSIVE changes.

pregnancy-linked events are very hard to trigger. IT may trigger a day late. I found with mine that I had to jump through hoops to mnake it trigger on start up although it was fine to trigger if you played through a day and started a new day

My theory, McPrincess, is that it doesn't register until the save is fully loaded (if you exit and reenter the house it will trigger).
now if you have triggered it a day late, you may have the birth scene a day after the baby arrives.

So I made a new save to fool around with CJB Cheats. I went to all heart events for the character I chose to try to marry within one day, but skipped the cutscenes. Then I tried the Mermaid Pendant & they refused... I’m just slightly confused. Do you have to actually go through the events without skipping in order to be eligible?

Actually it’s closer to a week, now that I think about it. Day one you can max out friendship with Cheat Menu and give a bouquet with Item Spawner. Day 2 you experience the 10-Heart. Day 3, you propose with a pendant from Item Spawner. Day 6 you marry

Maybe. Probably depends on the villager though. Some are late night events and they don’t change position when time is changed
night owl's breaky with custom locations, i'd avoid it :( i used to use it but it caused a lot of crashes
so avoid using it if I have custom location mods. Got it!
also you could warp to them with debug commands after events, like debug wtc seb or whatever
you could do it in 2 days, no waiting, with debug marry, i do it all the time for testing haha
what's the opinion on this one:
Looks like you can make fat stacks with that mod way too easily but play how you like
it is kinda confusing that, as a farmer, you can't grow starfruits (but can somehow grow an ancient fruit from a petrified seed), yet growing starfruits seems a bit cheaty.
unless you can disable the stamina buffs for those starfruits, which I guess would defeat the purpose of the mod so nevermind.
do any of you know the mod ''babysitter''? well do also know that makes the childen look like spouses? if the child leaves the house to go along with the as said babysitter will they still look like the spouse?

okay yes, it will use the highest relevant dialogue
there is an order of preference.
so if I have heart level 8, it'll only show (season>_)<dayofweek> and <dayofweek>8?
Yes, but if you don't have 8, it will use 6 or 4
It is quite easy to miss a lot in the middle bit, especially with a lot of seasonal dialogue

generally I'd say, do a lot more on the high end, so season_day8 and season_day10
I mean, not every 2 and 4 heart dialogue is going to make sense when you're at heart level 8, especially for someone like Shane, but I was hoping that I could customize some of these custom lines so that I could see more dialogue at later heart levels
and spread out those in the middle
you know, one reason I got into dialogue modding was to stop Marnie telling me Shane had been living with her a few months.
He and I had been married a year
but this is also why I want to take it really slow, so that I can experience as much dialogue as possible. And also because it doesn't really make sense for the new guy in town to suddenly be everyone's best friend and be in a committed relationship with all 12 single people by the end of year 1.

Part of the Community makes you go up too fast though!
POTC actually makes it easier to gain heart levels with everyone, but you can customize how much a gift and dialogue impacts heart levels
ah. I think it should be weighted: cropitems should get half the friendship points of a cooked dinner for example
it is weighted, but only by dialogue and gifts
though I think there's a separate config for favorites
I am less wanting to be punished for forgetting birthdays because with 70+ NPCs there's almost a birthday everyday

even with SVE, there are only 36 in mine
I have loaded almost all of them. It helps to check for conflicts at festivals etc
but I think I might cull out some of the older/no longer up to date ones.
the main reason I use POTC and EnhancedRelationships is because the game feels too one-sided without them
(and those that I have either finished the storyline for or have no heart events)
my introduciton quests are a challenge! Especially since some are inaccessible early in game.

Its saying Karmylla's Maps isn't a SMAPI mod, FarmTypeManager doesn't have a manifest.json, amongst other things

Yeah, that's because it wasn't using the new one I downloaded

You need to download the Content Patcher version of that mod - it's the second one on the download page

Question, if I'm running mods through vortex, is there a way I can still launch the game through steam while using the mods deployed by vortex?
I want to use steam remote play to stream the game to my laptop in the other room, but if I just add vortex as a non-steam game or whatever I assume I wouldn't have achievements or anything, not quite sure how all that would actually play out

well I kind of have a solution, though its not ideal
If I launch the game through vortex, then click to stream from my PC to laptop, it should work in theory, but ideally I'd like to just be able to start it from my laptop

can't you lunch game normally with steam? Sorry, I'm not using vortex so i know nothing about it/ it's limitations
So the thing with vortex is it keeps the mods in its own separate location, and just deploys them as needed, so you don't go altering a bunch of files and such and it manages all the mods for you and whatnot
But it's not doing it in Steam's Stardew Mod folder, so if I just launch the game through Steam and not through Vortex, it'll try to load the mods in the steam game folder, and not the ones I have through Vortex
and that's one more argument i won't use vortex i guess
haha, well its not been an issue except for this one niche purpose where I'm wanting to stream to another computer to play
I just wanna chill in bed and play without having to sit at a desk, but my laptop's fan is broken and can't really run games itself, so streaming from my Desktop is the best way for me to do it
did you try to copy mods from vortex mod folder to the steam one? maybe it'll still work?
It might, I may do that as a last resort, but if I can figure out a way to do it without doing that it'd be preferable

So I’m using CJB to create my vision of the perfect save file, then I’ll deactivate the cheats and make another file to attempt at replicating it legitimately so I can actually feel the real satisfaction of it
It’s actually a pretty good idea in my eyes. The nice thing about making a “perfect” save with cheats is there’s a possibility, I might not like my plan ad decide on another
That’s the beauty of it
And then I can do it legitimately and feel the real satisfaction of it I could experience something new on the legit version. Who knows?
Aside from that, I can’t wait to try out the mods I have that make my kids better
I'm excited by that too. Hopefully in 4 days she will become a real girl :)

It should work with family planning, as it's just events -- my mod doesn't determine the genders of the babies at all.

(I'm guessing your log is full of repeating errors). You could try and launch the game again, then once the error message starts looping, tab out and get the log so it won't be that long.
The game is working flawlessly now, I just was scared when it happened.

CFR's version has been depreciated you also have the Machines Only pack as well as the main AV file - which is says not to install both.

you just need to put the file for mimikyu into the skins folder within AnS, then rename it to Cat_1

it comes with some skins which you can delete if you don't like them, but if you just want the mimikyu cat, just do what i said earlier. if it's not showing up, you can type randomize_skin all into the console window (the black window that runs with SMAPI)

Yes, mods work on existing saves! Some mods, like Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE) have specific install instructions for an existing save, but otherwise, you're good to go

In the absence of any smapi info, I'd try launching the vanilla game and then re-add mods one at a time until you find what's causing the game to crash.

The real issue, at the very bottom, says you are out of disk space.
also, check if you have enough disk space left, the errors at the end say there's not enough

My game is lagging slightly, when picking up items they double appear above my character but they're not actually there. Also I cannot find Martin anywhere at the Bus Stop. the errors seem to be coming from the happy birthday mod, you could remove it and see if it helps
Martin isnt at the bus stop. He only shows there because of how the game determines npc whereabouts

i believe the item in question was a pair of shoes from the garden valley shop addon to walk to the desert (the black dress shoes the clothier sells)
but when i put it in a chest, saved, quit, and reloaded it became the glitched bottle

I can't undo my last save, it's been that way for a ton of saves now. I noticed it in the chest a few days ago but didn't really think anything of it until today when I decided to decorate my farmhouse

How do i update Winter Grass safely?
This is on the nexuspage, makes me unsure how to update
Make sure you don't overwrite the Saved Grass folder (it is inside of the mod folder)! It holds your grass in winter and if you delete it your grass will go away! The mod will automatically move the grass into your save file and remove the folder on its own.

Hi, i downloaded the SMAPI and few mods for the game via the Nexus Mod Manager but i'm not able to launch the SMAPI, it is saying that "It can't find the game", and after searching for solutions on the wiki it does not cover the issues when it doesn't find the game installing via Nexus.

the green house is in a different location and fully built, the old location is still there with a different texture, and i cant interact with it and it changes part of the path to town so it includes a path going down. it doesn't load anything and i just walk into the void but the camera doesnt follow. also if i go into the built green house my character disapears

So turns out i had immersive farms 2 and remastered i removed 2 and that fixed the issue

So I need help again, I've been working on getting my linux installed Stardew/SMAPI to work properly. If I launch straight from the SMAPI Bin, it works just fine, but If I launch through steam with the following startup command, My Item spawner mod seem to like to break. Below is the startup command and the smapi error

libgdiplus is already the newest version (6.0.5-0xamarin1+ubuntu1804b1). So I assume that's due to the command part

also, you're on unix? blank out your steam launch options, you must have followed the guide for windows bc that's the only platform where you need to manually input those

TLDR: you don't use xnbs, but if there's a specific one you want to use, you can check that first link for a conversion to a more updated format

^ Uploading and linking your log there should help make sure the mods are running. Also you might need to make sure you chose Standard layout for your farm, since IF2R replaces that one.
i think its because im using a recolour for content patcher, but i'm having trouble finding the code in the content.json file to disable the recolour overriding the map from sve
oh nevermind i managed to fix it haha

I'm not sure entirely what the issue is from here, it just looks like the map couldn't find one of its tilesheets
(that is, I don't see any other CP mods editing it, the map just didn't see one of its files)
i just had to disable the recolour overriding the seasonal maps or something like that and now it's all good

i'm trying to use DCBurger's portrait mods since they reuploaded them for the canon NPCs but it doesn't seem to be working

So SDV expanded is working, and when I press P to change the portraits while talking to a villager it says Dcburger but the portraits doesnt actually change
I'll have to doublecheck all of the supporting mods
I'd suggest writing bug report on the page of the mod adding the scene 
Well, having few mods editing the same character/data may result in some wonky bugs. Sorry, dialogue/character edits is not something I can help with 
Do a patch summart
You can always try removing one mod and see if the other is working properly then. You'll know if it's incompatibility or something is wrong with the mod itself. Just remember to back up your save just in case before that.

Would I run into any problems using both the luck skill and cooking skill mod? Also what professions does luck skill have?

Hmm, over time it deletes the config.json
I quickly removed smapi and installed it again, now it's back
you can probably set exception for the file or something in the program config that is doing it

The game saves progress when the in-game day ends, i.e., when the farmer goes to bed, collapses from exhaustion, or collapses at 2am. All progress during a day is lost if the player quits the game without ending the day. In multiplayer, the game saves after all players click through the prompts at end of day and wake up in the morning.

hi. I don't know if this is the right place to ask. I want to play a multiplayer farm on a bigger map, does everybody need to have the map mod on their folder? Is there a way that only me (the host) has the mod and the rest don't have to do anything?

Looks like a map issue(?) but you don't have any mods that change the map, so I don't now where it comes from

It's the order of adding mods
You move all the mods from Stardew Valley\Mods\
to a folder you create in the Mods folder called .skip
Then you slowly take them out of .skip and move them to \Mods\ one by one, starting the game after each one
And figuring out which one is causing the crash

It adds a little cog in the start menu (on the left) where you can change settings

I wish I could help but I'm clueless. I am interested in the cooking skill mod. It's on my tracking list
I would have just installed the cooking skill, but I'm worried I'll run into an issue and uninstalling to fix that will break my save
which is a nightmare (save breaking) if you're not starting on a new save just to test stuff out.
I could make a backup of the save in it's current state, but who knows how much progress I'd lose going back to it

I had it installed, but when I started removing mods, I ended up removing it before I did much with it lol. But I do know it works

Unless the mod specifies something else, you can assume you just slap it into the mods folder
Advice: make a backup save before you start installing mods, so you have a clean slate to go back too if something you install you don't like right away

So weirdly specific question about the animal husbandry mod. When you get a Dino egg in dormal stardew, you first hatch it and then they lay more eggs. Do they still do that in this mod
