Hi folks. I need help. I installed a mod to change the beam colors and some of the tiles in the farmhouse started glitching. I have removed the mod but the problem persists.

i'm stumped so i'm going to post here! i'm having an issue with vibrant pastoral recolor / the 1.6 fix where it doesn't apply the outdoors tilesheet correctly. a lot of tiles show up vanilla, trees and cliffs most noticeably. other tilesheets (v16_Outdoors2 and daisyextras, in this screenshot) are fine
stuff i've tried thus far--
- reinstall VPR & the VPR 1.6 fix, check that their configs match
- reinstall content patcher
- empty my mods folder of other mods. now i just have content patcher, save backup, a custom map mod i'm working on (no textures included), and VPR. no other recolor/retextures
- check SMAPI log for errors, it's not throwing any
- check if it's a specific map, it's vanilla maps as well as my custom farm
i feel like i'm missing something super obvious. any ideas for troubleshooting from here? 
Well that's certainly more thorough then most initial troubleshooting - can we get a log anyways to look at the trace statements?
Also the other thing that comes to mind - have you checked that the recolor tilesheets have the actual tiles that aren't being adapted?

are XNB mods really that risky to use? ive tried every single XNB to CP convertor and they are not working for the mod im trying to use

solved! it was the ">world_setseason fall" command. when i manually slept through days to get to fall and started the day normally, the tilesheets all apply perfectly 🙂
Nice - Yeah, there's a lot of stuff that gets handled during the day transitions - If you had changed it through CJBCheats, I don't know which behavior you would have seen.
Glad it was a simple 'fix' though.
I just finished putting together my own mod folder matching yours to dig into it, but hey, maybe I'll keep VPR for my own use

Obviously, Android SMAPI is pretty heavily legacy, but a log should still point in the right direction
if youre new to mods xnb mods are SUPREMELY not recommended. what mod are you trying to use?
xnb mods can break games, often times the second theres a new update or even a patch theyre pretty much useless
all community center bundles
the only other mod that does the same thing also makes the game super hard with a ton of BS i dont want

as the author of 3 of the xnb2cp converters, assuming the mod works as an xnb mod it'd work converted
the mod worked before the convertor then stopped after the conversion but its fine now since theres a CP alt mod that does what it did
feel free to send it all here! we cant exactly tell you to go somewhere else if we dont know what the issue is KJDSHJSDK though the only other place to go would be the tech support channel and thats if you dont use mods
Hello. I have been on quite the journey. I posted a couple days ago about struggling to get ridgeside village to work, it kept crashing. I sought out help from reddit, smapi forums, and a discord, alas, nothing has helped, but we may have narrowed down our concerns a bit? I had sooooo much help on this thread and we tried almost everything possible. I am hoping someone might have more insight on how to fix this concern? Issue: with mods installed, every time I launch the game it wont let me get past the title screen/character creation part before my computer freezes and forces a restart or I need to manually restart.
what we tried in order of operations.
launching stardew from steam only, not the shortcut on my desktop (worked for 3 seconds, started a new world, cleared some brush, attempted to plant ONE seed and then it crashed again) (log: https://smapi.io/log/e9222029577d4add8f83ad141e446541)
ctrl-alt-delete when things start to freeze (only worked once, was able to get into the world with ridgside characters listed)
changing the gpu to high performance or whatever, did not work.

before you ask, my system is new. it has had more than enough power to use mods with stardew. I’ve already play stardew w expanded and most of the mods I had downloaded with it and had zero problem. I also have recently played Minecraft with multiple mods and a shader and resource packs with no issue.

okay, so out of curiosity, do you use a mod manager?
i.e. you said you used minecraft with multiple mods
if you run minecraft through curseforge, curseforge might also be trying to manage your stardew valley mods, which still shouldnt cause your computer to crash and is entirely a shot in the dark but is something ive seen once before thats caused mods to break
I don't think I have a mod manager, if I do it is def not on purpose
but I do run mods through curseforge mostly for minecraft. Is there a way to see for sure if I have a mod manager?

sorry but I have no idea how to run curseforge. I did just look up "curseforge" in my files and the zipped SMAPI came up, as well as three "smapi toolkit" files.... I don't know if that is normal

I download minecraft mods through CF, and the install is manual, I also unzip them manually. for stardew I only download through nexus!

I'm just curious as to why there isn't a crash error visible anywhere in those logs.
that's what the other person who kept helping me said on reddit.
if it's a hard crash, it doesn't show up (SMAPI doesn't get a chance to write the error before the process exits)
they thought it might be a computer processing issue, but that doesn't make sense to me since I have been able to mod with stardew before, and minecraft.
this entire saga is just so confusing
It COULD be a memory leak issue that you're fighting with (likely not from Stardew itself), but that would resolve itself on a computer restart between you using any games that are using up memory to free up the resources again.
So if you've already restarted the computer and then tried, then it becomes less likely
Does vanilla Stardew give you crashes now too, since you said you are still freezing/crashing with a base SMAPI install and no extra mods?

memory leak is usually from programs and not your actual hardware.
I can try to uninstall smapi again and try vanilla stardew! if so, should I try to restart my computer after I remove smapi out?
Don't uninstall SMAPI, just open the vanilla Stardew Valley exe from the steam games folder

If you are having to reset your game files/reinstall SDV to not freeze every time you've installed or removed SMAPI, it sounds like something is breaking or getting corrupted as part of that process.

It froze just in the small stardew window at first and then I moved my mouse and it froze my entire computer.
and you didn't click anywhere before it froze, right?
this is right when it should be opening the character creation screen
did you install stardew on your main disk, or an external one? and is that disk out of space?
(the game checks for sufficient disk space for a new save file at this point)

the "outdated" mods are cause theirs an AT and CP version and I downloaded the AT one which seems to have a lower version number
I think VMV is Vapius coin currency but not sure why its errored
unlockable bundles looks to have added a GSQ which it appears VMV is using. i can't say for sure, but maybe a required player argument is missing from the query?
that should probably be reported to VMV and/or UB
I am not sure what that means but I will go check if anyone else has reported it and if not I can make a mention and see whats going on
the warnings at the end are for Way Back Pelican Town. some map patches in that mod are targeting the layer "Back3", which is in the vanilla Town map.
your Town map appears to lack Back3, which i assume is due to having SVE installed, since SVE replaces most vanilla maps
oh. got it, and yea someone else got the same error I did and reported it to VMV and the creator couldn't reproduce the error. person who got it said they could still get coins anyways so unsure what it is affecting

Make sure you're deleting the old Unlockable Bundles folder before you add the new one, so you don't run into errors due to overwriting files and skipping essential ones.
I have been with mods since a lot of them have recommended doing that. if more the one hands worth of mods say you should, probably a safe bet its good for all xD

You can open up the properties on Steam (right click on it in the Steam library, go to "properties"), then go to Installed Files, then hit browse
not exactly; it has probably changed several times since the last time i used Windows. but probably if you right-click on your C: drive in the file browser and select Properties, you might see some info about it
that will open up the folder where stardew is, then you can follow what ichor said to see how much space the drive has remaining
(although ig the log already says its on C: drive so just ignore me)
reexamining the screenshot of the freeze, it looks like there's only the one disk in the computer, so this may not be fruitful
Seems to be a reported issue for the mod - Double check you don't have any other farmhouse related mods

Worth checking out - Aimon's Fancy Farmhouse doesn't depend on Farmhouse Fixes, so FF might be overwriting or changing expected behaviors
I would try disabling it entirely and seeing what happens

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.
So I don't know which versions you're working with, so can't really give any advice on it directly

you will have to download legacy versions of whatever mods you want to use. most mods updated after march 19th of this year are for 1.6 and won't work

depends on the mod. for some, there just isn't a legacy version, so no dice. if you're getting the mods from nexus, you have to check the optional files and maybe the file archive. good luck

so removing farmhouse fixes didn't seem to break any mod, but it also did not fix the weird spawning issue and theirs no new yellow or red text in smapi
also tried it with a base farm instead of the custom farm I was using. didn't change anything

each time I get an error in smapi I've tried something to fix it and started a new game. never loaded anything
also I dunno how to debug warp farm but if all that does is tak you outside I have no clip. I was just curious if this was fixable or not lol mainly cause I know I will tell my friend who wants the mod list I settle on " games gonna require you to use no clip and then move the bed at the start" and they will forget and get confused they did something wrong and message spam me xD
unrelated to house this hasn't shown up every new game start but I have seen this atleast twice now
found the mod for these berries. gonna try deleting and redownloading it
oh never mind. in the 7 posts on the mod the dev of it says the items still work its just a weird error they are looking into

I can't say for sure and a log would be helpful, but that looks a lot like the folder structure of the mod was broken.
IE: An internal folder is missing / moved

I do not know if I am just confused or what but I can't right click on the steam library in general. I can right click on stardew and I went to proprties and browsed installed files. I am not sure how to find a disk or anything but steam is downloaded in program files which is inside of my windows-ssd (c)... does that answer your questions?
I did that and properties indicates I am using 121 gb out of 353 gb... in the hardware section it states that I only have one listed disk driver and it says it is working properly.... does that help in any way?

Well - that's much better. Give me a minute to download the file (I'm pretty sure my mod collection is now 75% tech support), and check the way things are organized
But the fact you don't have a wall of errors is good because it means you've got the internal folders fixed
Just checked - not sure why it's unhappy, but the only things affected by those two files are the shipping bin / mini shipping bin. Nothing else.

Though hmm - there's a few assets that it's showing don't exist in the patch summary - I'm gonna launch it myself and see if I can replicate
This warning is mainly directed to mod authors, and it can only cause visual issues on Custom Furniture. I would be surprised that your issue is linked to the Furniture Framework, because it's a brand new save and FF strictly only affect custom Furniture.
Hmm - Mine doesn't generate any of the errors yours seems to be doing - How are you unpacking the zip file to use the mod?
I just open the zip file and drag the normal file into the mods folder. Should I be extracting the file?\

What I did notice is that it takes a fairly decent amount of time for windows to unpack all of the files in the zip (A lot of small files does not make Windows very speedy) - Is it possible that you accidentally cancelled the transfer out of the zip before it finished?

Ok - Can you open the zip file containing the mod (that you originally downloaded) and check whether the asset folder inside it looks like the one in my screenshot?
If it is there in the zip file, then somehow the file transfer was interrupted while it was unpacking.

Yeah - I think you just accidentally cancelled the transfer partway through (It caught me by surprise at how long it took to extract on an SSD) - Taking it slowly let it fully finish this time.

There are mods that increase the capacity of each tier of barns, but nothing that I can find in a quick search that has it as an entirely separate upgrade like the Giant Coop from Resource Chickens

Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

Los mods que introduje fueron: Bus Locations, Destroyable Bushes, Downtoun Zuzu, East Scarp, Expanded Preconditions Utility, Lumisteria Tilesheets - Indoor y Outdoor, Mail Framework, Train Station y Walk to the Desert Redux (sé que son muchos...). is it possible to use stardrop on steam deck and launch it in gamemode
yeah you have to add it as a non-Steam game. I have found it to be super finicky though, like I can't control the UI in game mode at all. so no choosing profiles, no enabling or disabling mods, just starting the game is possible for me
it will use the last profile that was set via desktop mode. it does hinder achievements, too

Many tiles in the island tilesheets just don't have winter versions.
Whoever placed that tile there must not have known that.
You're using the earthy recolor I think?
Iirc daisy didn't recolor said unused tiles either.
You can fix it pretty easily though if you just open the recolors winter_island_tilesheet_1 with a image editor
and replace that tile with snow

That'll be it, if the tilesheets of the custom maps don't support that recolour, then things can look a little strange sometimes

Vpr only recolours vanilla tilesheets, compatibility for custom tilesheets must be made by the creator of the tilesheets
So if that farm map uses custom tilesheets, it'll cause some tiles to show up in vanilla colours

i followed a tutorial on how to install mods for the first time and ive done everything right but in the mods folder theyre showing as zipped and its not running the mods, what did i do wrong this is soo confusing

SMAPI is complaining that you are missing the portraits for the Wizard so it cannot load the NPC - in general you have a lot of outdated mods that could interfere with your game, I would recommend first cleaning those up (uninstall) and after that reset your game files (for instructions see #modded-stardew message )

the issue isnt the updating mod. but the error about data of two mods that dont exist in the folder anymore
My best guess whould be something got left behind in the deletion process. Have you searched your mods folder for the specific files referenced in the error?

Hmm, that can sometimes be a memory issue, and sometimes an issue caused by not running the game on your dedicated graphics card. The first could potentially be fixed by restarting your pc, the second will take a bit more elbow grease

I just downloaded the latest version of content patcher, and found my furnitures were vanilla. after messing around for abit i noticed that it appears vanilla when the game is not running in english, and appears modded when the game is in english. My code looks something like ""Target": "Tilesheets/Furniture, TileSheets/furniture.{{language}}",". Im guessing it could be because of content patcher? it was working fine today before i updated content patcher.

It just doesn't have an active maintainer and requires a lot of special consideration because the game code on PC and android do diverge quite a bit

Hmm - I might be going crazy but I think those are vanilla tile colors - I also don't see the edits in the patch summary, but I may be too tired and missing it

one thing to try is disable a mod that patch the tile and see if that mod is the problem
Ok yeah - those are vanilla colors - which means something isn't changing them
More Festival Decor in Town has an entire vanilla-color outdoor tilesheet. So I'd try removing it first.

I would recommend keeping an eye on interior wall issues since I don't see the fix for DaisyNiko's Earthy Interiors - I think it only shows up once you've upgraded, but if you end up with a vertical black wall by stairs, the companion mod fixes it.

I'm not nearly functional enough to give a solid solution, but I can tell you that wherever you're trying to install SMAPI to, it doesn't have the ability to write to that directory. The fact that you're trying to write to an A: drive is unusual, unless you specifically loaded a new hard drive on it.
Is there anything special about that drive?

Hmm. It's possible you're running into some genuine windows weirdness (a and b used to be locked down for floppy disks), but I'm pretty sure that no longer applies - you're probably running into some kind of folder permission issue since SMAPI won't install at the administrative level
If you right click your stardew valley folder and go to properties, there should be a permissions tab (might be under security, I'm on my phone so can't check)
Cash you take a screenshot of the permissions on the folder?

Not sure if you were ever answered but looking at your log, I see you have Automate, Convenient Inventory, AND Chests Anywhere. Convenient Inventory has had issues in the past with auto sorting items from your inventory and sending them to other chests, so it's possible that it is somehow interacting with Chests Anywhere or Automate to move the duplicate items from your inventory elsewhere.
Only way to really check for that would be to disable Convenient Inventory and see if it stops happening.

Automate in combination might be trying to auto process the items if the chest they are sent to is hooked into any crafting, smelting, or similar machines, or it's possible they are getting 'lost' due to interaction with Chests Anywhere and attempting to sort somewhere unspecified
Either would make it very difficult to track the autosorted items down again
I have an issue with my coop. Maybe 2 issues? I have IdaIda's Seasonal Gothic Buildings and had (but removed) Cuter Coops and Barns. When I first built my coop there wasn't a hay hopper. I figured it was the cuter coop mod since it modded the inside. Removed the mod and still no hay hopper. But I also noticed that while my house is changed, the outside of the coop is still vanilla as well.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hello guys, so I have an issue.. I have been playing mega modded stardew valley. I had a lot of visuals, core mods, some furniture, animals etc etc. Everything. I had like every expansion mod plus some npcs. Everything was fine, I was updating regularly.. nothing wrong. But then one day, it just started to incredibly lag, unplayable. No smapi errors at all. I didnt add anything new, just the updates. I tried to put away things and start games and i found out it is somewhere in the expansions. Could be it because of some mod update? As I said, it was always working fine until now. And doesnt matter if I create new game or play the old one
If everything was working fine until recently, I'd be more inclined to say that it's some sort of hardware issue. However, I've been investigating a lot of instances of unplayable lag, so I would first recommend trying out the monofix branch of the game, which includes some fixes that we are working on for 1.6.9 that address some similar issues:

Hello! I have a very specific mod issue- so I'm not sure if it can be fixed, but it would be nice if i could figure out how to fix it if possible. So basically, I have the Item Bags mod, and I also have cornucopia. You can add modded bags into the item bags mod, and I wanted one for cornucopia, so i did. Everything works and goes into the bag, except for TWO ITEMS. Blue Agave Seeds, and Prismatic Rose Starter. It wouldn't bother me as much if the whole mod didn't work, then I could just get rid of it and go oh well, but because its just these two, it makes me believe I could mabe fix it with some assistance?

Yeah. If you're launching via Steam, there's just one extra instruction you need to follow to make sure the game launches w/ SMAPI
same here in stardew. But for stardew to know that there are mods and to open them you need to run the stardewmoddingapi.exe
That is, if you're on Windows. On other platforms, it should be handled by the SMAPI installer
the stardewmoddingapi.exe should be located in your stardew install folder if you already installed smapi

at the end of the SMAPI installer it will give you that text to copy and paste into your steam launch settings
i don't use the item bags mod personally, but you should compare the item id from cornucopia with the item id in the item bags content pack, it's possible there is a typo for the 2 items with issue
after that, you can just hit Play on Steam like normal, and it will always launch w/ smapi
One disclaimer. Please backup your save files before playing any of your old saves with mods. playing with mods will possibly corrupt your save files @feral phoenix

ok so press your windows + r key and enter the following %appdata%/StardewValley/Saves this will open a new explorer window with the folder where the save files are saved. than just make a new folder on your desktop and copy all the folders from the /saves folder in your new folder and you should be good

I don't think that will work, because all of the files are technically hardlinks. And Vortex adds a dummy file in every directory to indicate that the folder is managed by Vortex, so I would need to delete those all manually.
When I switched to stardrop I didn’t have to remove anything after using vortex

heya, i backed up my 1.5.6 install, mods and save prior to 1.6 release and i only just now had a look at it. i wanted to know just how many of the mods i'm using are still broken in 1.6, to see if i would be able to move my save over to 1.6. the smapi update screen helps, since what's up to date probably wasn't updated and what isn't is probably updated for 1.6, but there's stuff that's supposedly "up to date" that i'm not so sure if i need to fix, and i don't know if every update check can be trusted here. is there a better way to know how many mods are still broken?
i'd rather avoid spending hours checking one by one on every nexusmods page if i can

Unfortunately there’s really no way to tell besides going to each and every mod page and seeing which ones need updated. Chances are if it’s not showing up it doesn’t need an update though.
Things like mods from naver and github may be needing an update however

Hey @sage pawn , not sure if you already dealt with your move away from Vortex so not sure if this will be at all helpful, but I did do that recently to move to Stardrop. If you previously added your mods via Vortex staging folder and deployment then you are right in that Vortex only adds something called a symlink file (which is basically a ghost link to the actual physical file in Vortex staging folder). Not sure if it's a case for everyone but to make sure I didn't have any dodgy leftovers from Vortex I used it's purge mods option, which basically removes all symlinked files in the main game mods folder, and then deleted the remaining, mostly empty ones that were left behind (except for the ones that I know I installed manually). Now, Vortex keeps a backup of all downloads (regardless of whether you enable or disable them in the app itself - mine were in here AppData\Roaming\Vortex\downloads\stardewvalley) so I grabbed all the zips and backed them up in a separate folder, then uninstalled Vortex as a whole before dropping the backed up zips into Stardrop to re-install - overall took probably less than 15min and didn't cause any issues as far as I know.

I did manage to fix it just now! Had to combine a few steps from people, but so far I moved to the next step.
What I did was:
Use chicken name glitch to respawn the item if it's lost (which was for me) by buying a chicken from Marnie (you need an open spot in a coop) and naming it "[864]" (no quotes). This will spawn the memento item in your inventory. You will need to sleep after this so the game registers and saves the item to your save log. You can also sell the chicken once you have the item.
Once you have the item saved, the item is not considered a quest item since it didn't come from Birdie. What you need to do next is open the save file (should be named after your farm) (also create a COPY OF IT JUST IN CASE) and CTRL+F search for the name "War Memento".
Once you find it, there will be a couple of parameters that need to be changed after:
i. QuestItem: Need to make this say "true" instead of false (no quotes).
ii. QuestID: Need to make this say "130" instead of 0 (no quotes).
(should look like <questItem>true</questItem><questId>130 when done)
iii. Save the file and make sure to avoid any other changes. Removing quest lines can cause the file to not load.
Now load the file and find Kent. I actually got a cutscene of him in relation to the whole war thing when I went into his house at 9AM (not sure if this would have happened had I not done this, I assume this was scripted if you go in when him and Jodi are in the house) and then after that, Kent registered the item and the quest has seemingly proceeded to continue.
Hope this helps not only you, but anyone else unfortunate enough to have something happen to their very important quest item. :)

Yep, definitely feel that - took me, erm... probably a few weeks to bite the bulled and drop Vortex as I had something like 500+ mods running and 3 different profiles, I and really didn't want to have to re-download it all if I messed up

i'm not sure if this is a mod issue or a 1.6 update issue, as i've just removed all of my mods and uninstalled smapi, uninstalled SDV and reinstalled it, clean, and removed the launch option text but when I load up my old save file (which i never touched when i had mods installed, as i wanted it to remain clean in case of things like this) i'm getting this error item. I've had a search through my chests and I can't see any other items immediately affected. any ideas what may be causing this or suggestions for what i can do? is it something i should be worried about?

never on this save file, no, though could loading this save file (and not saving) with mods installed affect the save?
the cause of error item is generally from having a modded item (tool in your case), then uninstalling the mod which added said item. can try installing the mod again, though if it's something from 1.5 then i'd just discard the item

can you try disabling copper still, it seems to be the only mod you have that would modify comm center bundles
i got some mods a few days ago but i've noticed that since then i haven't been able to place items in the museum or move them. i'm also having difficulty placing buildings or moving them. might have something to do w the mouse? mice??? i have two onscreen and i'm not sure if i had them both show up in game before. sometimes it lets me move around w WASD but i can't move anything else :/ id really appreciate some help w this thanks

Bundles are donations to the Junimos given via golden scrolls inside the Community Center. When a bundle is complete, the Junimos offer the player a reward. When all bundles for a particular room in the Community Center are complete, the Junimos grant a special reward that sometimes benefits the entire community.

Is there a recommended mod manager? i see stardrop and is it like heavily recommended and do i need to install stardrop first or smapi first
There are two mod managers available for stardew: Stardrop and Nexus Mods app (in very early beta). However you do not need to use a mod manager for stardew modding. Smapi is all you need for mods to work
Can mods be added on mobile?
is it recommended to use stardrop?, im assuming its good for managing a large number of mods more easily, reading the description and im sure its personal preference so im curious what yours is

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

I’ve been watching a Salmence modded playthrough
You don't need to, manual modding is very easy where you just place the mods inside of the Mods folder which smapi creates. Stardrop just streamlines the process more, where it can 'add mods' for you, and update them (if you have nexus premium) and have multiple mod groups with and easy way to turn on/off mods
I personally use stardrop but only for the easy to use different mod groups, I still manually place my mods into the stardew valley mods folder

trying to use Visible Fish specifically but i can't seem to find the key for the mod config menu to adjust visibility of items, is there something else i need? i wasn't prompted to cehck for prereqs on nexus mods
If I'm understanding your question correctly, you can use thr gmcm to edit the number of visible fish at a time https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098
However you need to start the game at least once with the mod before the config.json is created :)

For all mods once the game has been started up if there's a configschema in the content.json it will create the config.json once the game has started up at least once. It's best to install the gmcm now as it let's you edit the config schema in-game rather than having to go into each mod's file individually to edit the config

The reason why mods don't come with the config pre-created is that when the mod updates they may add more options to the config which wouldn't be applied if a previous existing config is already made

Do you happen to know if UIInfoSuite2 has a dynamic npc map or would a seperate mod like NPC Map Locations be needed
just taking a look like popular client sided mods that don't affect multiplayer hence these questions
I'm not too sure but I UiInfosuite2 does provide some form of NPC map? However I recommend using NPC Map locations and the add on 'Yagisan's Custom NPCs for NPC Map Locations' for modded npcs

It just adds Config options for NPC Map Locations to hide NPCs when unmet or based on heart level. I've found reading through mod descriptions to help with figuring out what they affect and to see what it's compatible with ^-^

Hmm I'd try:
- Doing a fresh install of the 1.6 adventures guild mod and Adventurer's Guild Extra Shop.
- Validating your game files.
- Try repeating the event with event repeater.
- If that doesn't work you could always unlock the recipe using the smapi console https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Console_commands

I have a question about Alternative Textures. Is turning off Randomization for pets not possible? I have only Trees, Fruit Trees, and Grass set to true, but my cat just isnt matching lol. I chose to start with a black cat. When Marnie came, it was a rat. When I found the "cat" after the event, it was a Torchic XD
hmm verified files and now my save reverted back to yr 1 of spring, can now open inventory though. could using cjb cheats to go back in time before the cc was completed when it did get completed cause it?

Try disabling all of your mods temporarily (Rename the Mods folder) and see if the behavior persists with no mods.

In which case, you can move them out of the Mods folder to somewhere else temporarily

my best guess is your save file is borked. you might need to wait someone else to validate my answer. sorry i couldn't help you much further as i'm recently back here
You can try loading up an older backup from before things started breaking - SMAPI should have added a backup folder in your Stardew directory on an IRL day by day basis
Check your gamepad settings and make sure it's set to either No Gamepad or Always Gamepad

Just checked on mine that this is still correct - I can see the 1.5.6 version there

Yeah no actual crash, last thing the log sees is loading SDVE assets, complains a lot about updates as it assumes you want to be on the latest (but that's not the case for you) - I'm guessing you manage your mod versions manually so none would have updated automatically in this case?
Yes manually so they shouldnt have as far as I know. So I guess maybe I just let it 'think' longer and maybe it will fix itself.

so i removed the mods and smpai and installed smapi and the mods one by one and its still giving me the same text in the consol

alright i don't know why. but when i start a new farm. it won't respond after loading up.
it loads up. but stays in the faded animation.
I've seen this one mentioned quite recently - could you try disabling/taking out Cloudy Skies and Weather Wonders and see if that helps?
can someone please help me i accidentally moved the portrait folder when trying to install portrait mods and now no portraits will show up when i talk to npcs even after uninstalling and deleting the stardew valley file and reinstalling

Welp all errors are about the LittleNPCs and Age Up now, it seems to not be able to draw the portraits - I'm not familiar with those two, did they work fine previously?
