Dude, your mods are from the dark ages, update them and replace the outdated mods.
There are no errors or evidence of a crash in either of these logs. Does your SMAPI console output any text at all past what we can see on the log?
Also - yeet Custom NPC Fixes. It's obsolete.
No it doesn't and it always crashes on 22:53:57 TRACE SMAPI Content Patcher edited Maps/Custom_CastleVillageOutpost (for the 'Stardew Valley Expanded' content pack).
I suspect it might be a bad map patch, but I can't say where and which one, unfortunately. Can you A) update mods; B) remove Custom NPC Fixes; C) go back into game, load your save, and when it's running, navigate to your SMAPI console and input: patch summary into it?
You have a lot of other mods than Custom NPC Fixes that are outdated, no longer working and/or replaced with a better mod, please remove them all.

So honest answer here: SVE itself would not cause this particular issue, or it would be widespread. The fact that it happens as the Night Market activates likely means you have a pre-1.4 mod in your modlist somewhere, and if not, I would 100% assume it's a C# mod causing it if the game is crashing to desktop.
Mrldcc3, can you also let us know specifically - like describe in as much detail as possible - how it "crashes"?

Ok so after a little bit of searching I found out I was stupid... very stupid.
1- I misread things, wintergrass for example is still compatible but there are forks with better or more features.
2- The web I was using told me this was an old version of CJB Cheats Menu + Spawner.
3- And I didn't notice it sayed PyTK I just copied and pasted the thing.

Does anyone have any advise for modding on an android device? I tried downloading smapi and it wont attach the mods I download to the game. I looked online to check for capability with my device as well to make sure the mod would work. It keeps trying to zip into a folder over and over with no success.
I'm currently doing a playthrough of the overhaul mod and I got my hands on a prismatic shard. I went to the desert to grab my galaxy sword only for it to say that "It feels like there is something missing." Do yall know what I need to do to get the sword?

So I've been modding for a year or two on vortex, I've got the latest versions of smapi. But my game isn't loading Ridgeside or Expanded. It's missing the manifest.json despite me manually copying and deleting then reuploading the mods. What should I do?
Reinstall all mods manually or use stardrop mod manager instead of vortex

the thing about stardew is that it is a much more stable game than those two examples, so you dont really need a mod manager to mod it. just manually download and drop them in the mods folder, no need to worry about load order or anything like that
as a fellow skyrim modder, stardew is so much easier

That's because rsv main files is disabled. The last four error i believe is cjb warp files that should overwrite cjb cheat menu files

Nope, it would be fine. You can always check mod page of mods you wanna install if they stated that the mod is sve compatible or not
just be mindful about some crossover NPCs (Jojaclerks - Juliet & Jessie) because they reside in either SVE or ES depending on your config, im not sure if that's still the case

as for their schedules im not sure but by default they go well with Martin and Claire's sched

I was able to go to Victor's house and into Ridgeside
elle's mods are fantastic. i never play without them. the only one i dont use it the town buildings one bc it clashes with sve
elle's town buildings mod is all fun and games until it clashes with Museum Expansion mod (it modifies the museum map exterior) so i use that mod but disable for the museum
seems to be ok as a fresh save runs fine

It's not enabled by using mod manager, but by overwriting warps.json inside cjb cheat menu
you need to pick one. rsv has an option that includes sve's warps, but you cant install either like a regular mod. you need to place the file in cjb's files
Also me and megan already told you to not use vortex btw
vortex is the stardew killer
if you continue to use it, you may have people refuse to help you troubleshoot bc 99% of your problems are gonna be fixed by not using vortex

Depends on what you want. CP is just one way retexture, while AT can choose from the pool of choices
Hi everyone! Does anyone here use the pocket rooms mod? The description of the mod says that I should change "MenuEnabled" and "AccessFromWand" to "true" in the config file of Warp Network, which I did. I also already bought the return scepter along with the keys, but it only takes me back to my farm whenever I would use them. Anyone knows how to fix this?
I used the search bar and confirmed that Custom NPC Fix is now obsolete but can i just yeet it safely or do i need to install something else?

sometimes Chelsea's or Biscuit's (the dog) sprites overwrite some standalone custom NPCs

Ideally, we'd need it open, yes - and we'd need the exact same error to be reproduced. I wanted to see if when you submitted a patch reload the issue corrected itself.
However, not knowing which NPCs get mixed up each time, it's difficult to give direction.
For the Cap Mouse - if the switch happens again - first, check the mod's assets in the folder itself. If the correct sprites and portraits are in the folder, you would open your console and type the following: patch reload "ElinHime.CapMouse"
hmm I reset my content folder and verified files but still crashing. It doesnt crash if I run it with my lutris set up though.

I'm on linux and I'm able to run the linux version with another launcher and it uses a separate drive on my pc.
Ah, I see. The problem is that the Title Menu is crashing because your Farmer's Sprite can't be rendered. Specifically the shoe color.
i think i figured out the issue.
i checked each image assets of the affected NPCs, their common denominator is that the filename is just straight up "portrait" and "spritesheet" and maybe it confuses tf out of SMAPI. how can i fix that, does changing the filename automatically redirects once the json files load?
Those are accurate names - assuming that the file folder hierarchy is intact.

Maybe? But if you've reset your game files since then, you shouldn't be seeing this issue.
You could try adding back that mod. If the game loads and no errors pop up, you could change whatever boots/shoes your farmer is wearing, save, exit, then delete the mod and try launching again.

Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

So I accidentally clicked on the greenhouse when moving stuff around, and now the door entrance is stuck, i've tried re-moving the greenhouse or tried putting it back in the original spot but it wont fix it, is there a way to run a debug to fix this?

update: i found the issue it's natural color - reshade (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1213?tab=description) that's making my screen glitch. i installed like described and it just started causing issues recently and i have the most recent version from nexus
there seems to be an update for reshade itself but i dont have that application installed (mostly bc the mod didn't tell me to do that) and it worked completely fine before, if that helps

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

So I have two issues, and one of them is bothering me a lot. I have attached video files showing both issues, and I'm wondering what might be causing them
I'm more concerned about the bush glitching, because the mail bug is quite old to me and it happened everytime I installed the mods I usually play with but the one with the bush is brand new

From what i found out i just put the mods into this folder, i installed the Smapi thing and got the text line that i was asked to put into the launch options but it's still not working.

I had to keep the smapi thing up while launching the game

I just closed it after installing the thing because you usually dont need to keep stuff like that on you anymore
if you close console you are closing the game, they're not separate
you can close the installer, but SMAPI has its own console
this is important actually because it displays a lot of useful information and also lets you put in commands

So i didn't really have any issues in the smapi loader but it did say some files were "depricated" and i could not load SVE - treid with a new file and exisiting

I use SMAPI and quite a few mods. When I launch my game without mods it launches fine, no issues. When I launch with SMAPI it opens SV as a white screen and just never loads. I've tried just waiting and waiting but nothing happens. When I click on it I just get this. There is no error file. I tried running my SMAPI-latest through that SMAPI log website and got no issues. I have no idea why it won't launch correctly. I have restarted my computer, reinstalled SV, reinstalled SMAPI, and all my mods are up to date

Hi! I currently use Dustbeauty's Stardew Foliage Redone original, which I found from an old reddit thread, and it's def my favorite recolor mod!! I also learned there's a Reshade version of Foliage Redone, would anyone here happen to have a copy of it? Or know where I could find it? Hi, dunno if I'm right here, but since I've basically finished the game I installed a lot of mods and apparently one of them added Crows to Ginger Island which is a little annoying since Ginger Island is my Ancient Fruit Field.
I've added the list of my moste recently installed mods, sinde it seems to be a rather recent issue.
If anyone knows which mod gave my beloved Ginger Island Crows so I can delete it, I'd be really glad 🥰

I'd start with dowloading Expanded Preconditions Utility which is a dependency for SVE
Open dolphin file manager, select “show hidden files” under the 3 lines in top right, open .config, scroll down and open the stardew valley folder, in that folder one of the files should be named “ErrorLogs”, open that file and you should see a .txt file named either SMAPI-latest or SMAPI-error

i think that may be an issue with people using mod hairstyles. my modded hairstyles are completely unaffected by the behavior of hats dont mess up hair
it affects the vanilla ones, but who out here using vanilla hairstyles?
my issue is currently this
i have a cp hair pack that uses its own ids for what the hair should become when you wear a hat, and that also appears to mess with the hide behavior of hats and im quite frankly losing it a bit over it bc it looks so dumb
i just kinda wish there was a way to cut off the pixels of a hairstyle that go above a hat when you put on a hat. like, just cut the hairstyle in half and only keep whats below
but that would probably end up being really complicated and not work for every hat

i also wish i coulf figure out why my hair mod refuses to be hidden, but i cant even check the vanilla hairs for reference bc for some reason HairData.xnb only has the ids and code for the hairstyles added in 1.5, all of which appear to have the same issue in that they are unhideable

That's unfortunate. I mean, I'm glad you got it working, but if you don't want to be stuck legacy modding only (which could be a problem when SDV 1.6 & SMAPI 4.0 release), you might want to dive a little deeper into where/how you've got these installed.
I had working SDV/SMAPI mods on my Android phone. Then I updated SDV via Google Play, and tried to move some mods from my PC folder to my android folder, and now it's all messed up.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled SDV, don't know what the issue is. Also, I think SMAPI got the 'smart' idea of use one of the hidden/locked Data directories for Mods/etc, and I can't get it to use the /StardewValley/Mods folder again
Which I'm guessing is the issue, since I removed a few of the mods from the folder I can access, and the error codes still shoot back conflicts with mods I've long removed.

I've never felt stupider.
If anyone has pointers, please let me know. I also can't get the Stardew Valley save editor to work anymore, even though it was working at one point too.
I think I got lost in my head and just botched everything in one fell swoop the other night.
I don't know whether to uninstall everything and delete the folder, then reinstall SDV and SMAPI from scratch then redownload the mods, or just give up. Because right now, only mods working for SMAPI are InstantCrops and InstantTrees 😄

Android SMAPI does not currently work for SDV 1.5.6.61. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.
If you find a mod bug on Android, first make sure that:
a) you have the latest SMAPI version from https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases;
b) you have the latest mod version(s) or have the last-known Android-compatible version;
c) and the mod author hasn't already addressed it on the mod page (e.g. via an Android-specific version or comments).
If all of those are true, feel free to ask for help in #archived-modded-support with your full SMAPI log: https://smapi.io/log.

Question on the Atelier special orders — I don’t know how to deliver some of them. I did “Sachets for Sandy” and handing Sandy a tea sachet worked like a gift. I couldn’t find a deposit point with a ?. Now I’m doing “Jams for Penny” and same problem, the request says “Deliver 5 jams to Penny” but I can’t find a ? deposit location.
I’m also using Stardew Valley Reimagined 3, but I was pretty sure it was compatible with the Atelier mods.

previously, i finally succeed on installing SMAPI, But then when i try to run it, SMAPI ask to choose StardewValley folder. after the migration is complete, i tried to reopens the app. Then this error came up. Please help me i really wanna play Stardew asap😭🙏🏻

Android SMAPI does not currently work for SDV 1.5.6.61. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

a) you have the latest SMAPI version from https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases;
b) you have the latest mod version(s) or have the last-known Android-compatible version;
c) and the mod author hasn't already addressed it on the mod page (e.g. via an Android-specific version or comments).

Oh and I have another question. I want to start organizing my mods with Stardrop (I think that's how it is called), but I have like- A mod folder with about 65 mods in it. And I am not sure how to use stardrop, do I just tick every mod and then save? WOn't I have all the mods two times in the mod folder then? Can I delete (move out of the foltder) the mods I put in there per hand? (I already installed stardrop and inserted the right path so it can work) Could someone explain it to me, I am so lost-

you can drop the zip file to stardrop UI so it will install the mods for you. but install/update mods manually is still preferred. also after installing mod manually, you can click Tools - Refresh mod list so stardrop will detect mods you installed manually (assuming you install mods manually when stardrop is already opened)

Your mod list says it's loading. Can you get a screenshot of not having your config file?
It should have immediately generated on game load which is required for a log to be generated.

either way, if you did have any mods that still required tmxl they wouldn't load and SMAPI would throw an error telling you
That is fair, I didn't see any errors other than empty folds from my sorting (so expected errors)
guess it fell under the same boat as custom walls where i was told that's no longer needed
many platonomous mods have been succeeded by more modern mods
perhaps 😅 i thought tmx is also obsolete too because some mods can run without the tmxl component

those look like content packs which utilized TMXL's builder component thingy, if they are then if you want to keep using them you would need to find a version updated for modern frameworks(like alternate textures or solid foundations) or convert them yourself

I noticed that as well, there doesn't seem to be anything about the crash.
Can you describe how it's crashing?
This is the 3rd crash, all 3 this week. In all 3 cases the game (PC, steam) just disappeared instantly
Honestly that seems like a computer issue because SMAPI is only running the base 3 mods
so nothing's actually non-vanilla in your game
I'd tell you to ask #vanilla-tech-support but because you're running SMAPI they'll just send you right back here.
Yeah that's what happened. I was running vanilla and since there were no errors generated they asked me to install smapi to capture them.
