Magic mod settings allows you to move the tile you need to speak with. Add or subtract 1 from the X coordinate there.

DaLion probably won't be able to give you a full list of what the mod does just because if they had to do that for everyone it'd be exhausting
You're much better off trying to ask other users who use it, re-reading the docs, or being extremely specific about what confuses you.

May I ask about a mod can be modified toolbar on mobile platform. It sometimes jump up and down. I looked up in Nexus and found a mod called Custom Toolbar, but can't make it work. Thanks for your consideration.

But bluntly: If it's constantly breaking in the Wizard's Basement, it's likely something to do with that map. The only thing editing it is SVE, and at least on my end that works completely fine in English

Im having Audio Issues on the 64 bit version of the game (see Video of the Audio) but its exclusive to my Logitech G733 Wireless Headset. Normal Speakers sounds fine. I did change the Headset and it was still an issue.
I normally run the game with SMAPI but the problem stays in the vanilla 64-bit version, even after completely deleting all files and re-downloading the game without SMAPI nor Mods.
The issue isnt happening in the 32-bit version tho - but due to being a SMAPI user i would love to not have to let go of my mods. But if thats the only solution ill take the defeat and play my games without them :)
anyone aware of any work arounds for that issue?

Probably something at a fairly deep level in .NET vs how the headphone drivers work
If you can update the headphone drivers that might help but I can't say I think it's super likely
Afaik Stardew doesn't do anything custom with the audio really, it's mostly pulled from the framework it's built on
i did uninstall and re-install my drivers for it and it didnt work sadly - might just have to run it over 32-bit but thats fine too

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

That's what it said before, but I couldn't quite find the duplicate, for there was ShopTileFramework and the (STF) StardewValleyExpanded version, but if I separated either of the two, another error would come in.
I did this before twice, and independently updated every folder of the mod to it's place.
Are you "replacing" via drag & drop? If so, you need to delete outright

its telling you the locations of each copy of STF for SVE. im noticing you have a TMX folder, which is odd because SVE hasnt used that framework in a while?

TMXL out of the way now. Onto downloading SVE again, this time without separating, just as we speak.
For future reference, when you need to update Mods, it is best practice to delete the old version and then drop in the new one. "Replace" can leave chunks behind that could cause problems.
Thank you very much, I'll take it into account for the next time. My personal case was, a friend aided me on installing the mods for me, but since some time ago I have not been able to contact him and thus, I've been left to pick up the scraps on my very poor knowledge about modding.
Still. I deleted my old compacted SVE folder as it was.
I'm, somewhat surprised of those chunks that got left behind.
I thought I had trashed them all within the general mod folder.

May I ask for some assistance please? I will give a brief explanation on what's going on:
I have started a modded community farm, using the Unlimited Players Mod and we have 6-8 people on the farm so far.
I initially loaded the farm and cleared it out, laid out everything where we wanted it to go, sectioned off the farm, etc. And then FROZE TIME using CJB Cheats.
Insert Other Farmers. I unpaused the farm and did a tour, showing everyone how I had set up the farm. ------- >>>> all hell broke loose. LOL!
Time wouldn't sync for some, some couldn't even get in, people were stuck in "loading screens" as they exited the farm from anywhere from 1 min - 3 mins and some people couldn't pick up their crops. ETC.

But am wondering if there is some sort of glitch/error/sync issue I am missing? I'm not sure if it's best to carry on with this farm or re-create it?

I am a streamer and do have an OK gaming PC. But it's not the best, for sure.

It's also entirely possible the farmhands have the bad internet

Time not syncing is probably some kind of connection-type issue

The dark loading screens is possibly secretly just a time sync issue
Sometimes the farmhands don't complete warps until their time re-syncs
One thing you can try: remove all mods except unlimited players and see if the issues persist
If that solves the issues, it's just that the amount of info transmitting back and forth with all the mods is just too much for your internet/computers to handle
And you'll need to pick and choose which mods to include
If your husband connects on LAN often that's more stable, but that would only help him, not anyone else
ok, I don't fully understand the modding glitches, so forgive me if this is a stupid question........now that the farm is spawned with SDVE and East Scarp, we'd have to do a farm restart mod free to test? Or would simply removing the mods be OK?
Keep Error Handler and you can temporarily remove pretty much anything else

It looks like stardew druid is having issues, try updating it maybe?
It also looks like npc adventures needs to be updated, as it used deprecated methods of code.

Hello, I installed newest SMAPI for android and downloaded few mods, put them to mod folder and now when I start SMAPI Starder valley app, it crashes on SMAPI failed to initialize: Newtonsoft.json......

Open a file app (like My Files or MT Manager).
Find the StardewValley folder on your internal storage.
Open the ErrorLogs subfolder.
The log file is SMAPI-crash.txt if it exists, otherwise SMAPI-latest.txt.

Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

hi! not sure if this is the right channel to ask, but i'm thinking of getting SVE and it's my first time playing with mods. i was just wondering if the expansion is applied to all save files or if there's a way to have it in specific save files only? i'm planning on starting a new file for SVE and keeping my old file vanilla. is this possible? thanks!

Mods will affect all save files unless you set up modgroups or use Stardrop to create separate profiles.
There are other ways to enable/disable mods that involve hiding.

I'm seeing that Stardew Survival Project is updating multiple times per second. This definitely could be contributing to the lag.

Temporarily disable the mod
As long as you don't save without it, you'll know for certain that it isn't your mod by going through the day and there won't be any undue effects on your save file

You need packs for it, which are generally on Nexus with "FS" somewhere in their name
There are a LOT of fashion sense packs. Good ones, too - I love Hoodie mod, for example

Sometimes mods get flagged by overzealous antiviruses. If you're really worried about viruses in mods you can:
- download from Nexus or Moddrop, which check all files for viruses automatically
- preview the file contents on Nexus to see what you're downloading (content packs containing only images and json files are highly unlikely to be viruses)
- view the source code for most C# mods on Github by going to smapi.io/mods and checking the advanced options
- download and compile the source code yourself
I guess the load times come from the patching of some of the methods of the game, but what I mean is if 'Resampling' is on but you turn the 'Smoothing" option off, what else does Sprite Master do in terms of 'Resampling'? What are the benefits/results of this feature being turned on?
resampling is the smoothing
by itself it doesn't do anything else
i'd say it actually reduces the performance
the performance gains come from other things, Ameise had to add a lot of game optimizations for the resampling to be viable
Well.. then why are there separate options for 'Resampling' and 'Smoothing' and I can have 'Resampling' without 'Smoothing' (I'm curious, because currently I use the mod only for the improved load times, and I have turned off the smoothing but kept the resampling because I thouht that it also improved performance..)

There are considerably more settings in the config.toml file for SM that do lots of things no one seems to know much about. Oh, that reminds me! I had to disable the 2D OpenGL optimizations previously...wonder if that's contributing to my weird error.
That was my next question: is there anyone who can help me optimize the config for SpriteMaster in order to use only the optimizations of mods' and game's methods without any resampling and changes to graphics? I mean, considering the quantity of config settings, simply disabling 'Resampling' can't be fully optimized

Hello everyone. I want to play with mods with my friend.
I started Stardew with the SMAPI file then loaded co-op and the farm.
My friend started STardew normally without SMAPI.
He was able to join me with the invitation code, but then left again because he had started another game shortly before, but it started with a delay while he was in the game with me.
Now he wants to join me again and it keeps coming. The connection couldn't be established. Now he has downloaded and installed SMAPI but he still gets the same message
Does anyone know what that could be?

We've now even re-downloaded everything SMAPI and mods, all up to date and we both have the same mods and it doesn't work

No, you do not need Nexus Premium to download any mods from Nexus - it's only if you want to download something faster, which is generally not necessary for any Stardew Valley mod. If you want to download a mod from Nexus, click "Manual Download" on the files tab and then scroll and click "Slow Download" to download the mod!

Hey guys, just wondering if using Miss Coriel's Unique Response - Gifting Friends mod overwrites the ones from Gizzymo's canon-friendly dialogue and Farmerjack's dialogue expansion. I know farmerjacks dialogue explicitly stated that it overwrites some "duplicated npcs" from canonfriendly dialogue, and I'm fine with that. But does adding Miss Coriel's gifting dialogue is already too much and just overwrite other gifting responses from the two other mods?

I would talk to Clint and the game would freeze up. I found the the dwarven legacy fix version of the mod and used that until I got through the interaction and then restored my original (newest) version of the mod

Yes and no. The hiccup is that there is an incompatibility with SVR3's Forest map. However, SVR3 has configure options - so you could just turn that map off.

TLDR: Can an outdated modded farm map type cause my pigs to not dig up truffles?
Full explanation:
I’m using a modded farm map, but it hasn’t been updated and I believe the issue is Farm Type Manager. Stumps and the quarry stones don’t respawn, unless I use an older version of FTM (but even then only the quarry respawns, not the stumps).
That’s not really my issue though. I’m already in year 2, so I don’t need the resources. My only issue is that I’m worried that this farm map is somehow also causing my pigs to not dig up as many truffles? I have 4 with full hearts. I feel like in previous games they would dig up tons. I might just be crazy. So I guess I was just wondering if that was a possible bug? Or is it not related at all?
when are you checking the amount of truffles?

It’s very possible that it’s fine, but after the issue with items not respawning I’ve been suspicious if other things aren’t working properly
Truffles don’t spawn on any tiles that have obstacles and only spawn on dirt tiles
In theory the farm map could have messed up the tile type somehow, but I rather doubt it, it would cause further issues beyond just “slightly fewer truffles”

I tried to install smapi, but it didn't install, it said it gave an error and a bunch of other things appeared to install like: COMPAT| SMAPI for 1.4.5. I tried downloading these other things, but when I downloaded LOCALE| Chinese Locale v2.5.1, said an error occurred and said that: "locale package depends on ZaneYork. CustomLocalization, install first". I really don't know what to do anymore
i'm not sure, but looks like some npc's sleeping animation is broken. i think they are stored in data/animationDescriptions. if you can patch export that asset after the game is loaded it could show what npc is the problem

in the game, walk over to where your furnace and chest should be right beside one another stuck together. press the U key on your keyboard. it should bring up a grid on your screen

if there is a green rectangle around your furnace and chest, they are connected. if there is a red one, they aren't close enough together to work.

and then the bars will go back into the chest once they're done
it is really important to read instructions when installing mods, you can ruin your savegame if you don't know what you're doing.

Literally all I did was disable grid mode in better shop menu because the ui is annoying then enter the secret woods when I took a screenshot to get a better view of its layout then went to look at it I saw a wall of red text in my smapi console figured I'd report it because I instantly recognized one of the mods throwing one of the errors
does anyone know a mod that can go back to the date we want? for example, on the 26th I want to go back to the 1st

Getting back into this after a while and wondering if PPJA DGA stuff works now. It didn't last time so I never updated. I like to use Mizu's PPJA thing but there was issues.
The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

It's a total mess. I changed a single config setting then entered the secret woods then all of a sudden this happened
There's probably over 300 errors but 90% of them are from better shop menu from changing that config setting to turn of the grid
The error that I'm specifically talking about tho is on page 3 of the log
Which error specifically, Eliza? Because page numbers are dependent on filters. If you're talking abou the Better Shop Menu, that's directly related to HD Portraits.
There's a game error that happened right as I entered the secret woods at the tail end of the log that happened to a monster. And I have no idea what caused it
The error also repeated 75 times
You have so many errors that it's hard to nail down one particular culprit.
The better shop menu I think is linked to me disabling the grid menus in the config
Well, errors can have snowballing effects.
I literally did 2 things in game when this happened. Disabled that config setting and entered the secret woods
Disable one thing, and it breaks 1 mod. Well, that one mod breaks 4 other mods, which breaks 5 more mods, which causes MARGO and other mods to panic.
I later reloaded my game and my log was then clean
The fact that all of these separate breaking points are null references means that when you disabled Better Shop Menu's setting, it broke something big.

It could be either or it could be your processor ot the games resolution. For me it was my games resolution was set to high for my computer to handle

Full screen mode. If you are in windowed or windowed borderless it locks the resolution to 4k I don't know why
