Hello guys, I have a question, my friend and I try to play SVE and we downloaded the mods. My game is working without any problem but my friends game doesn't work with the same mods. Anyone can help me? tysm.

Hey, so I don't know if anyone really knows why or which mod could be giving this error, but here's the situation I've got going on right now:
I had some issues previously trying to load a game with a lot of mods consistently, as each day would bug out at the save point at night. I was able to get my game to work okay for almost a full in-game week yesterday, however, with all my mods once I removed East Scarp (& other ES mods) and a few other extra mods I was able to figure out were broken or otherwise. For some reason, ES especially was really bugging the game out and not letting me progress properly. Not sure why, but it's an issue some have apparently according to my looking up what could possibly be causing the error. I tried removing ES only after I tried everything else and then saw a more recent forum thread where someone had some similar issues with the divide by zero error occurring. So far, that had worked to un-bug the game more consistently. (And I know that having a lot of mods can potentially cause glitches and breaks too, so I figured the occasional break would be fine, but not one that happens this consistently.)
But now, I'm wondering if Ridgeside Village is also having the same bugging issue, because the last few times I've tried playing I've gotten the same divide by zero error at the end of my SMAPI logs, and they've only happened when I directly interacted with the RSV location itself (not necessarily any of the RSV NPCs who may go from RSV to SDV, as they seem to not bug the game out as much if at all). This also doesn't seem to entirely affect the Adventurer's Guild Expanded mods either, so that's why I'm considering the fact that if I remove RSV it might stop the save glitch (aka the divide by zero one that keeps shutting the game down right as it tries to save). I've tried what I can with downloading any mod dependencies, pruning anything that's broken or breaking according to other recent SMAPI logs of mine I sifted through, & updating everything as best I can given the current updated versions available (on both Nexus & ModDrop). I hadn't had this divide by zero error all in-game week until I explored RSV itself the last few times.

If anyone's got any input or advice, I'd appreciate it! This is frustrating, but I'd like to try to fix the save glitch at least, even if it means removing RSV.

there's the main ui or "rectangle" that displays all of your files, and above that is a slim bar that should say "This PC > Downloads"
if you can click on that we can get to the mods folder

@tacit blaze the only mod that looks even remotely adjacent to your issue seems to be PyTK Lite. try running without it?
SMAPI has to be installed separately from the game

Hello, I'm trying to run a sdv modded save with a friend. I am already almost a year in. Simply just built a cabin and invited a friend. However, when he joins it is extremely buggy for him. He cannot open chests, the ingame time is different, he can't break or interact with anything. Anyone have any idea as to what may be causing this?
We've played modded together before and we haven't done anything different this time

hi. sorry if this is a bit silly. i recently got fashion sense and downloaded a few content packs along with content patcher. however these never work in game and even past the game loading and starting - i get no updates on it except them loading. how do i fix this?

Close Stardew Valley.
Delete the Fashion Sense, Kyuya's Accessories Pack, and any other mods that are not working from the Mods folder.
Redownload the latest versions of the mods from Nexus Mods.
Unzip the downloaded files and drag the unzipped folders into the Mods folder.
Start Stardew Valley and see if the mods are working.
i mean, fashion sense clothes are only accessible by using the hand mirror. have you tried that?

Hi all! I've tried installing life cycle, but I think it is not compatible with slightly cuter seasonal characters. If i have both, in showing only the standard sprites and portraits. Any idea?
In particular, deleting the mods and redownloading them is a good way to make sure that you have the latest versions. Make sure that you have the latest version of SMAPI installed. SMAPI is a mod loader that is required for most Stardew Valley mods to work.
Make sure that you have the correct versions of the mods installed. Some mods require specific versions of other mods in order to work. You can check the mod pages on Nexus Mods to see what versions are required.
Try disabling other mods that you have installed. Sometimes mods can conflict with each other and prevent other mods from working. It's also possible that the mods you downloaded are broken. If you've tried all of the troubleshooting steps and you're still having trouble, you can try contacting the mod authors to see if they are aware of any problems with their mods.
You are correct. Life Cycle and Slightly Cuter Seasonal Characters are not compatible with each other. Life Cycle overwrites the vanilla character sprites and portraits, while Slightly Cuter Seasonal Characters also overwrites the vanilla character sprites and portraits. If you have both mods installed, the game will only use the sprites and portraits from the last mod that was loaded, which in this case would be Life Cycle. To fix this, you will need to choose one of the two mods to uninstall. If you prefer the character sprites and portraits from Life Cycle, then you can uninstall Slightly Cuter Seasonal Characters. If you prefer the character sprites and portraits from Slightly Cuter Seasonal Characters, then you can uninstall Life Cycle.
Hello! I'd like to ask if it's normal for a player to not appear on the map? I've noticed that I can't see labels for some of the new places.
I've tried reinstalling the mods and checking the requirements. They don't seem to specify or updated recently enough to a point it is capable to function with the latest version.
Is there no way to have the content of life cycle without it changing the visuals?
When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. SCA Is edit data, so even if life cycle is doing a freaking load that should work.

I did make sure to do this this next try! Now after removing RSV and anything else problematic, the game simply lets me play the day, save at the end of the evening after skills and money, and then it crashes when trying to launch the next day. So AT LEAST NOW it saves before crashing (even if it doesn't say it's a crash in SMAPI's logs: https://smapi.io/log/d1f28ff11e9b41bc851e3f6a60437504 This is the most recent one, and it's just... the same divide by zero error. Again. ??????)
Very odd. Very very odd. But at least right now I can progress with just SVE and several QOL & visual mods. It's just very weird how it still decides it'll not launch the next day after saving... I honestly dunno at this point. I'm just trying to roll with it.

if you're willing to try it, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers through the nvidia panel or whatever the heck it's called again
I should note your problem is not RSV or ES, winter
As atra is showing you, It is likely an issue with your graphics driver.
( @tired brook - do you have any ideas? I've never seen this before, I don't even have a clue how that method could even throw a divide by zero error? )
i also mentioned that it could be PyTK Lite, i didn't look at Lite's code

Yeah for sure, so it's definitely something I should be able to get to the bottom of with more digging I feel.
Implemented in version 1.5.5, MonoGame is the latest framework that Stardew uses, and was implemented to solve problems such as Memory limits and audio issues. Unfortunately, MonoGame has a bug which affects random computers, not allowing them to launch Stardew. This bugs randomly targets computers, regardless of your operating system or hardware and is out of ConcernedApe's control. There is currently no known fix. See !legacy or !legacymodding for how to get your game to work.

- Remove all of your mods except Error Handler.
- Load the save and see if the issue still happens (including when sleeping).

Hi! Make sure you have the latest version of the game, and you don't have the 'compatibility' beta channel enabled in Steam or GOG Galaxy.

That calls down into native C++, which might be doing division. Not sure native C++ methods appear in the stack trace.

No, you do not need Nexus Premium to download any mods from Nexus - it's only if you want to download something faster, which is generally not necessary for any Stardew Valley mod. If you want to download a mod from Nexus, click "Manual Download" on the files tab and then scroll and click "Slow Download" to download the mod!

If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. those "empty folder" mods are usually ones that are just assets, and you have to put those assets in a specific place listed in the descriptions

I've got two portrait mods conflicting with Seasonal Cute Characters
Hey guys (: does fixing the community center give friendship points or something? I got way too many mails today from reaching certain heart levels with people I barely talk to 😅 or is this a mod issue? The only mods I installed before were custom kissing mod, sleepovers and noclip. Already tried removing ckm and sleepovers but nothing changed. :/
completing the bulletin board gives you friendship with everyone, so if that was your last bundle to complete then that would be why

Audio driveer is safe to delete as it's not a part of mod (don't know why it got to mods folder). And there's no error about game. I think the game try to load a save and get freeze
do u have a audio realtek driver folder in your mods folder?

a lot of mods make assumptions about when saving happens, so it's fairly likely that save anywhere will try to save the game state before it's "sanitized"

The character creation screen appears and as soon as i clic somewhere my game stops working
alright, so the thing with smapi is that it takes a good amount of time for it to load, and it doesnt like being interrupted by clicking or pressing keys. once you get to the point where it says "loading..." dont touch anything and let it think for a good solid while. you dont have a ton of mods so it probably should take too long, maybe a couple of minutes

Changing the dependencies for the two portrait mods didn't do jack diddley. Alex's portrait is completely gone and Haley's is an amalgam of both portraits. P for Portraiture didn't work. Lost for words.
The Alex portrait mod completely stopped working after removing PyTK.
I thought that mod was deprecated.

i did try out stardew expanded, but it kept saying smth about there not being a manifest.json in one of the files when there was so idk if that has something to do with smapi or just user error
hard to say, but smaller mods have more chances of succeeding compared to something really big like sve
Orca - I think the current version of SVE isn't compatible with android right now - you might need a specific version of SVE for it to work

just right click on the zip file, then find the 7zip option

First: Did you reboot your game since you deleted them?
And second: a mod cannot use an asset that does not exist. Ergo, you either deleted the wrong thing or in the wrong area if you did reboot since then.
(Put another way - assuming you refreshed SMAPI so that it forcibly has to look for the file again, it cannot be showing SCA stuff because it'd be like hammering in a nonexistent nail - if the nail doesn't exist, you can't put it in the wall)

Choopy try renaming the fish retexture folder so that it starts with a "Z".

Haley's is a standalone portrait mod. It's a CP mod.
I'll disable Haley's portrait for SCA.
Some improvement, Alex's portrait isn't bugged. But it looks like he has to have his SCA portrait disabled.

The SMAPI latest file you had was proper, but you didn't let it load all the way before putting it in the parser. Load the game, then put the same file in the parser.
