Nope. You need to manually put them into Mods folder (and yeah you also need to extract them firat before moving it into Mods folder)

Take your time. Also when you extract SVE later. Keep it as a folder cause when you open the folder after extraction, there will be some subfolder. Those are needed for SVE

I tried the build on 70 mods+sve and it works without errors, so I doubt that smapi android is broken

If you are having issues with all of your shoes turning your Stardew character's boots red, your boots internal data has corrupted. Thankfully, this is mostly a benign problem, and can be fixed by spawning new boots and throwing away the old ones. To spawn new boots, type debug fin <boots> in your console, replacing <boots> with the exact name of your boots without spaces (e.g. Space Boots become spaceboots).

hi is anyone having problems with the newest NPC Map Location mod (alongside the most updated SMAPI) with multiplayer. i've tried opening up a single player file and it worked, but it doesnt work with multiplayer now, it used to work fine before the updates. anyone having the same problems?

Do not delete the Content folder in your SDV folder, that's like all the game's files

hello guys so i have issue so far, jumbo greenhouse from 'Build You a Greenhouse' mod disappears after sleep. many people reported bug with tractor or horse being inside and a reason for disappearing but me and my friend don't even have them yet, build disappears only on our save on another multiplayer save or single player world i tested it still stays even after couple of nights and etc.. i can't rly find solution via google or other way.. maybe any one had same issue or can tell me how to prevent greenhouse from disappearing.. thanks! log and list of mods below

It looks like you're trying to edit the file inside the zip (as in you probably opened the file up in a text editor) and it's saying it can't compress the file back into the zip because it is open.

Need some help with my save file (affected by mods) -- a while ago, I believe I changed my dog into a cat (?) as we accidentally chose a dog at the start. This is well and dandy except that on the item screen where you see your earnings/names, the icon is a dog. Anyone know where to edit that in the files? Or what mod I can use to change the cat back into the dog -- I can just use another mod to add another cat later, it's just cognitive dissonance for me to see my cat's name + a dog portrait. since they are both trying to load CP decided to load the vanilla because it can't choose. In the config for the farm disable greenhouse and Elle's greenhouse should load

Someone experience with Stardrop?
I just installed it and both Smapi and Stardrop now complain that [MFM] Sydney is missing a masters.
Stardrop also only lists the MFM-file, it doesn't recognise the cp at all.
nvm, de-capitalised the manifest and content jsons and stardrops sees them now.

yes, when you click off or anything of the sort, the loading stalls. just leave it alone for a while

So I have mods where the farmer walks behind a tree or wall pane and then get into "swimwear", before they can drop into the bath or hot spring to regain energy
how do you get the farmer to default back to their clothing, I've been walking behind this tree and she's still in her swimwear lol

it's a tile property, if you want you can open the map file in tiled to see which one exactly

i forgot what mod it was for but it was a requirement
you likely don't need it anymore, unless it was a high res portrait. and if that's the case, id recommend you convert it to portraiture

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

I went to pick up fall seeds on the first day of fall. Pierre had gone to Ginger Island, and none of the seeds for the various mods I have showed up in his store; only the vanilla seeds. Is this something I should investigate further, or have others had this problem? Is it a known issue?
Is it possible to edit NPC map location offsets in real-time? I can’t seem to find it in mod config so I’m assuming not, but is it possible to manually refresh configs with the game still running?
I'm having an issue with SMAPI 3.18.4, or smapi in general tbh. I downloaded from nexus, extracted, ran the windows, copy+pasted the correct text into steam's properties, and now my game won't launch. I went through the troubleshooting page, this is day three of trying to figure this out. I saw a few others in nexus say they had the same issue but the responses to them were not helpful to say the least. I even tried 3.9.5 as the last most recent version on the site to see if that would work. Worked enough to get an error log, but still not working. I haven't played since 3.8.1 was the most current version. I've re-installed the game 2x already and restarted my computer 3+ times now too. What is going on.

You need to download the farm map separately. It's on the SVE files page, but scroll down for it. There are two options, Grandpa's Farm and IFR2

Currently the only way to download multiple mods is via collections (pre-made modpacks) but it doesn't include a lot of mods (some authors haven't given permission for their mods to be in a modpack) so really the only way to download is individually downloading mods

I can build and move building but I think there was a bug where you can't donate in museum and build because it gets stuck, but that can be solved by unchecking the gamepad in settings.

That sounds like a contradiction. You can't have a non-modded save with SVE.
But if you've got a save and you've used mods with it. Then you will have to run the game/save with the error handler mod that comes with SMAPI.

If you can get a log that shows you saving when it disappears that might show the exact error.
Sounds like a lot of mods break it so I would avoid it.

Having trouble getting SMAPI to run install on my Steam Deck. I downloaded the Linux version, unzipped it to my desktop on the Deck. When I try to run the Install on Linux.sh file, it asks if I want to Open, Execute, or Cancel. I say Execute, and absolutely nothing happens. If I select Open, it opens the script in a shell, but it still does nothing when I try to run it.
is there anything to do about this?

I don't see 11 mods with warnings/errors even if going by line count in your log. From what I see, though:
- You have an old unofficial update of Loved Labels. Either use the most recent one or Loved Labels Redux.
- You can update Health Bars, or its manifest has the wrong version number. Redownload and reinstall, and if it still throws an update check, you can harmlessly edit the manifest version number to suppress the update notification.
- Remove Multiple Spouses and Custom Spouse Patio - they're outdated. Use Free Love (Multiple Spouses' successor mod) and Custom Spouse Patio Redux instead.

SMAPI 3.18.0 raised deprecation levels to the final stage, meaning SMAPI will now show yellow warning dialogues for mods with deprecated code. For the user, this just means that the mods have old code and will break in SMAPI 4.0 if they are not updated - it is not anything to worry about at this time. (For mod authors, it's a not-nice warning to update your code already!

If you have any other errors, then they're likely on save load and we'd need you to load a save, then get your log before rebooting, to help with those.

yeah that's... normal. in fact, you're the reverse of most people who use SMAPI

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

im not sure what SpriteMaster is. It was never listed as a required mod when I was on Nexus
PyTK drastically increases load times, so I wouldn't be shocked if you had to wait like 15 for save creation

Disable resampling if you don't like the graphical changes

Hello, guys! I've been having a hard time with SMAPI. Since I've discovered the mod's magic and installed a few more in my folders (used to have around 5, then 33), my game simply doesn't work. It crashes or takes years to open the saved games page, which doesn't happen if I run it without any mods. So I started a new playthough with Farmer to Florist and noticed that I wasn't getting any recipies I was supposed to. Upon doing some research I was directed to their github and told to download the mod from there. Now in the logs I get the following message

SVE can cause that in general in some systems since it's pretty big, and you're also running RSV, too - I get lag/stuttering when they're both installed sometimes. so it may not be an actual problem, just a bit annoying
Sorry about that. I guess I got confused by semantics because the player has to make custom code for this mod to get things to function, so I guess I assumed it didn't apply even if it was coding and was similar, even if not the same as, individual player config.

I'll try it out once I can get back to my computer. I've used it for like 2 years but built a new computer and wanted to start a new game. Never had this problem with SVE before.
Someone knows what it may be of what can fix it? No problems with mods at all, they load just fine, but when the game screens opens it crashes automatically or whenever I click new game or load game

Tried, again. But nothing, even with 1 mod the game crashes when the I go to new game/load game.
I'll try to reinstall everything and see if it works

Sooner or later it will close. If I'm patient enough to wait, it will take a lot to load the saved files, then lag in game again
Have you tried temporarily removing your save files to another location, see if it loads faster, then adding them one by one in?

I know, weird question. But new game generates an entire file, and load game tries to read a bunch of save files
trying to figure out if, with no files to read, the game goes quickly and doesn't lag.
For the record: You'll need to temporarily move the save files while the game is open
otherwise Steam cloud will put them back

Just did it. Stopped lagging in load game, but whenever I try going for a new game it lags again, mostly when I try to change skin, hair, etc. Tried without SMAPI and it worked perfectly

Can you confirm (a) your antivirus isn't quarantining SMAPI and (b) SMAPI is running off your graphics card if you have one
Their graphics is Intel HD Graphics 4000 if that matters

It works well enough, it shouldn't be this slow.

Cica summed it up, but apparently SMAPI, even with just error handler, goes insanely laggy for them. Log with just error handler provided in their recent messages, they've run through troubleshooting steps and the smapislow stuff, so it appears to just happen with solely SMAPI. They noted that an exception for SMAPI has been made for the antivirus. (In both videos, they have no save games as in a prior step we had them temporarily move out the save files, which is why Load goes quickly - otherwise, it suffers from the same not responding performance issues the "New Game" portion does.)

My guess is whatever fish is being fished is broken or the mod itself is, since it wasn't patched since 1.5's release.

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).
Please see the last part of that command.
(Do not use the DGA version, that's the one that's borked.)
