SVR3 definitely does have foraging. The only thing I know that's bugged are the spring onions for reasons unknown, but all else should be working
im going to guess you just didn't move the ftm folder to your mods folder, which is what takes care of the foraging

You don't have to delete anything with SMAPI
For the mods, Unless the mod says otherwise, I usually just overwrite the mods.

You can just put the folder in the folder with the old copy of the mod... and it'll overwrite

You should remove the old one first for best results, but you can often overwrite and it will be fine. In some cases (usually major mod updates) the folder structure changes and overwriting may not work

When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. @shrewd quail This is not a problem with the game, it is a problem with one of your mods. You need to take mods out and put them back in to see which mod is causing problems.

You mentioned something about the game not working in fullscreen mode, it is because fullscreen does not have triple buffering as windowed mode does
That is why windowed mode and borderless windowed mode increase your input lag, depending on the game that is around a 25ms increase average
It does work in fullscreen mode but it makes the game greyish
I guess I only have th visible fish mod apart from the ones that is required for the expanded one

try remove all mods except ConsoleCommand, ErrorHandler, and SaveBackup. then try changing the game between fullscreen and windowed. it's to make sure the color caused by a mod or not
if the problem still occur, try launch vanilla and change between fullscreen and windowed again

a way to see if SVE installed corrrectly is by looking the map
left one is SVE while right one is vanilla
After reinstalling the mods seem to work besides the anime portraits one, I have the mod in the mods folder and replaced the files in portraits but they are still the default ones

yeah I put that in mods folder, I noticed it said outdated in the log but it's that version
I think I figured it out, there's 2 different things of portraits in my stardew valley folder, one within C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Content\Characters and the other within C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Content\Portraits
Characters is for the overworld sprites

so I download hd portraits and put the anime portraits in the mod folder's portrait thing?
read the mod desc for hd portraits, should all be described there
I removed all of the mods except for these 3 and this still happened but whrn I launch the vanilla version its fine

If your resolution is messed up try deleting startup_preferences This can be found on Windows at %appdata% > Stardew Valley > it's in that folder, or C:\Users\Yourwindowsnamehere\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley or for Mac can be found at ~/.config/StardewValley To get here you'll want to go to your desktop, then in the menu bar select Go -> Go to Folder...

What this sounds like to me is that your graphics card is not treating SMAPI and the game similarly, and is applying incorrect color adjustments to SMAPI

Hello, i want to use lux's mod(https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/10035) to change the item in game, but I also want to use better crops(https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4912?tab=description) as the crop arts are pretty, but better crop comes with item sprite, which in config can only be turn off by disabling both the crop and item.
Is there a way I can make the Smapi run Lux's mod first so that I can get the item sprite? Thank you in advance!

sadly, no.
To make a long story very very short, you might have noticed Lux's stuff is at a slightly higher resolution than the rest of the game
this is up-scaled, so, it has to be last or it will cause other issues
(that's in part what I expected, honestly)

Sadly, I don't have nvidia and don't know how to configure it, but I suspect the dynamic contrast/dynamic color settings are wrong.
You're using a house mod that was made before 1.5 and wasn't updated to 1.5

i'm in a bit of a pickle. i downloaded a farm-map mod and now face the issue of being unable to build buildings on grass patches, which there's a lot of. probably due to being outdated which is kind of my fault for not checking date of last change.
but is there a way to hotfix this issue? I looked up mods that just let me build anywhere but the only one i found has posts of it not working. the mapeditor mod seems to have issues with some mods as well.

Okay, so, I was here with a Pokemania problem a couple days ago and uninstalling it mid-save had some undesired side effects. The farm cave is now competely empty (used the wild cat cave mod, it stopped working on this specific farm) and I am not getting the quest to enter the adventurers guild. Is there a way to edit my save file to get these working again or do I have to restart from a fresh save?

we dont recommend mod packs in general, its better to build up your own mod list so you can get the exact experience you want

You can get lookup anything and turn on some of the more advanced options
and it will tell you the name of the texture iirc
then you can do a patch summary to see the collective list of mods editing that texture
idk how skyrim works but in stardew more than one mod can edit the same texture harmoniously

hey i'm having an issue with actually being able to use mods, this is my first time modding anything. i downloaded SMAPI and put in the original code thing into the steam menu, including the quotations and everything. when i tried to download mods they immediately downloaded as a zip file, i tried to extract them to unzip them but i literally have no idea what i'm doing or how to make the mods work. I am using Windows, and i have the log link copied if I need to send that as well. i'm not really sure what i need to do to make it work, and i'm not sure if i'm just being silly and just missing something obvious or what, but i would appreciate any help i can get on being able to use the mods i want lol.
i also tried reading all of the help menus and stuff from the wiki page but nothing was working for me so i am not sure what to do

You need to unzip them, like unboxing a present so you can actually use it
Then you need to put them in the place where SMAPI looks for mods, Aka your mods folder

Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

Because the issue is that you added the .xnb file (for the portraits) to the wrong location affecting the sprites of the NPCs rather than their portraits

seems to be multiple mods interacting from what other users said
it's explicitly mentioned in the description btw. if you want an alternative, i recommend you use furniture adjustments and just scoot the tv as further back as you want

Hey, having an issue where I'm the host but anytime we go to the mines my boyfriend can attack and I can't. The mobs don't even react to me, I can run right through them and it's like they aren't there.

android modding is very new in 1.5 so its all bunch of hunch
what it's supposed to do is get the ping rate between you and your multiplayer partners
what you describe is basically what happens if the ping gets too high, if it's >1s the game becomes all but unplayable.

i noticed that map configurations also work like adding new areas, automate, ui suite but not much on text dialogs, cutscenes and tweaking the entire game*
I would consider that to be...on the high side of okay, probably. Might be worth pulling a log from everyone, seeing if you have errors in the log

Ok, we are going to update some mods and try it again, that was the only suggestions it gave for a fix
So my friend is struggling and they cant type here for some reason, and im here to pass messages through. essentially they downloaded both seasonal clothing mods (vanilla and SVE) and they also downloaded a young wizard portrait mod. They did what was put in the description but the wizard standalone portrait mod won't work/show

When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. also a lot of portrait mods for the wizard specifically won't cover all of the wizard portraits that SVE adds unless they specifically state SVE compatibility

Hey guys, me and my girlfriend are playing a stardew playthrough and one of our mods are causing the hoe and watering can upgrades to not have additional sizes. Like you can water more than one thing. If I post my logs / modlist would any1 be able to help out?
So, last time I installed mods it was on macbook and now I have my windows desktop. I installed all the mods I wanted, including their required mods (ex: stardew v extended requires numerous) and I also have set up the properties correctly in steam. Upon opening the game, I do get an error saying that they skipped six mods with warnings and that SMAPI 3.18 can be deleted after running the installer (ez). I can confirm at least one mod works (items show price when I hover over them in my inventory. However, stardew expanded isnt loading in because I do not see the NPCs or extended map.
did you run to where they would be in game to check? for npcs / locations to show up on map would require an additonal patch. I am currently playing sve and neither the villagers nor locations are on my map

I see the OGs (which means that mod is also working, it just seems like stardew extended is having difficulty)

Please let me clarify - For some reason SMAPI is finding 6 mods with warnings and its skipping them. I can only assume it is a part of the stardew valley extended and the required mods for the extended since that content is not in the game currently, but the other mods I have installed are working.
Did you transfer the mods from mac to pc or redownload them from nexus?
I redownloaded them, I only provided that information to inform the reader that I do know what these look like already so it is not a misunderstanding from that POV

Ah gotcha. Yeah sorry like I said I don't deal with Smapi the only reason I know mine get skipped over are incompatibilites or outdated mods but if you had it running on laptop, just downloaded the mods, and double checked your dependencies then I have no idea. Hopefully it won't be long before someone comes along to help.

Good news, my expanded preconditions utility mod was an empty folder for some reason. I boot up the game after reinstalling those and assigning them and now it does not give the error. Bad news, the map and npc still isnt loading in and the game is forcing out the content to prevent crashing still.
