I've been having a weird issue where only my modded is either bugged or broken, I've been trying to play modded with friends but every time I'd get to the bus stop in game, it turns into a black screen and there is no way for me to do idle animations to pass out or anything, and I've been getting a constant error message pop up on my smapii console. [game] An error occurred in the base update loop: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Content.ContentLoadException: The content file was not found.
---> FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'D:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Content\Characters\RNPC4_Warner.xnb'. Don't know why this is happening, I've looked into the files and tried fixing the issue, and looked up on the internet but there is like 0 answers. What do I do?

I do know a few mods can be updated, however this set of mods, and the world were made when these mods were up-to-date, and we didnt have chest issues at the time.

Usually instant, the times its not they don't connect at all. However there have been zero sign of lag/connection issues while playing and over 10 minutes has passed with them afk in front of the chest they tried to open so its not delayed

then delete the FancyFace_numbers and SaveGameInfo
Ok I did that, but it still isn't loading the game for me
then rename the FancyFace_numbers_old to FancyFace_numbers (basically delete the _old at the end)
then do the same for SaveGameInfo_old (to SaveGameInfo)
then relaunch the game
I did it for both. Everything was fine until I added the mod upgrade cabins when someone isn't playing with you. I went to Robyn, went on the side of the counter and did my first cabin upgrade. Shut down for the night. And now this is happening. I deleted the upgrade cabins mod. That didn't work and that's when I asked for help here. Would any of that help with what could be wrong? Thank you for helping me by the way I appreciate it.

you probably need to go back in time before the null cabin was created

smapi should have stored more saves
open the folder where your Mods folder is
there should be a folder called save-backups
start trying saves from there by putting them into your save folder. (take backups of your most recent save)

i think i figured it out. i downloaded both versions. xnb and the other. so i guess the correct one was the one that worked and the bad one was the warning message. idk much about modding stuff

i was going to say to patch export Data/Events/Farm, but since you have event limiter, could be a problem with it

Could someone possible help me with an issue with UI Info Suite 2? When I have crops ready to harvest, the message that pops up in the morning says "Runi is ready to be harvested in Farm". It's the same no matter what crop is ready. Any ideas what's wrong?

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

Also I had a mod called Re-Texture. I've deleted it as SMAPI says its not from Nexus mods... but I also cant remember what needed it or where it came from
So after experimenting a bit, the guest player cannot kill monsters. Or more accuratley, when they kill a monster, it respawns in the spot where it died.
The host can kill monsters, unless the guest is in the same room, then it happens to them as well.

^ it worked on a old save yesterday just not today for some reason
so update (we were avoiding the walk to desert) but we just got the mines unlocked and the bugs/slimes are respawning when you kill them (this time not spamming the logs at all but not good)

Hey everyone, so I just downloaded AT and also Elle's Animals for AT, and when I put them into Stardrop they all installed separately...like just multiple files called Elle's Cats for AT, Elle's Dogs for AT, etc., is there a way I can combine these or make it so that there's less files lol? hi, im on a co-op farm with friends and one of my friends has a fully-upgraded house with no usable cellar. on one day, there was a wall where the cellar should have been, and on the next, the cellar appeared but was an infinite loading screen when attempting entrance. here is the error log

try this in the terminal : cd Desktop/ this will get to the correct folder. then chmod u+x SMAPI_multiplayer.command it should give access to run the file.

Y'all. I am having so much trouble rn. I am new to SV modding, and I am trying to use AT, Cats and Dogs, and Elle's Animals for AT, and I am just all sorts of confused. I have AT installed, and I am able to change textures for buildings and such but when I try to change texture for my dog that I adopted through Cats and Dogs mod, it says that I don't the dog doesn't have any textures for the current season or something to that effect. I installed all of the Elle's files into Stardrop, and also added the folders with the PNGs into the Cats and Dogs assets folder...help?

I have the WildFlour megapack and I believe it's the Floral Goods pack that's having an issue or I'm just not understanding. There is a craftable "Flower Station" which I thought was supposed to be a machine. I can't seem to interact with it once it's placed.

No errors in the console, I have pet spawn location, not sure about the assets. I sort of got it to work, I downloaded Elle's separate dogs and cats replacements and can select those when I adopt a new pet, but can't use AT to change their textures bc I can't quite figure out how to make that work..

Yes that is where one part of the issue seemed to lie, I bought the scissors, tried to retexture a dog I got with the Cats and Dogs mod, and it told me that there is no textures for the dog for the current season🤔

Okay weird. So let me try to explain this...in order to get Cats and Dogs to recognize the textures from Elle when I first click to adopt a pet, I had to place the PNGs in the C&D assets folder (it says that in the description), so I used these for that purpose, specifically the files that said "Dog Skins" and "Cat Skins" https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3871?tab=description https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3872?tab=description
But in order for me to be able to retexture them with AT, I have to use this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/10039?tab=description
But now the issue is, I can retexture the dogs with the scissors from AT, but not the cats. For the cats it tells me that there are no alt textures for the current season
And basically what I am deciding is that this is wAY MORE complicated than I thought lol

So when you clicked on the bowl to adopt a pet from C&D, did it bring up options to change the skin there or just went straight to name selection?
Bc ig the thing was if you put the pngs in the assets folder for C&D, you can select the skin when you adopt the animal, and then using AT you can retexture it later, but tbh I should just pick one option instead of choosing a skin at adoption and then ALSO being able to change their texture later lollll

yay!!! it works, i can select the cat skin on clicking the water bowl. i got rid of the files from elle's animals for AT and cut the files from assets in elle's cat and dog replacements and put them in the respective cat and dog folders deleting the extra files

Yeah its very weird bc i could pick one for dogs when adopting, and also change it afterwards, but not for cats. so its confusing
this is what worked for me for cats /dogs
i cut the pictures from the assets folder of elle's cat/dog replacements and stuck them here
and deleted the files Cats /Dogs from my mod folder
from elle's animals for AT

Right after.

I think most of the people are avoiding pytk because it takes a toll on your pc while playing the game. Most of the mods are now switching to content patcher.
If you are using nexus to download your mods then check your download history. If you aren’t heavily modded then you can try to open up a save.

Failed parsing event precondition (-2147481928/y 2,) i believe the problem is the comma after y 2. it's in some JA or STF mod i guess. easiest to find by searching for the string in all the files inside the mod folder with a text editor that supports it

I need help - I have Ridgeside and Expanded installed, Earth Recolor, and a host of other mods.
Clint came and gave me the blueprint for the Furnace on my new farm, but even with the materials in my inventory, I dont actually have the ability to craft or even see the option to craft in my crafting tab. I cant really progress in the game without it, and I think I could use CFG to spawn one in, but I like to play organically.

I did have it, i removed it and the old Diasy Niko Recolor to add the news ones, guess i forgot to add tilesheets
Recolor works just fine, ill add tilesheets and see if that fixes the issue

Also try a new save for testing and just check if its just really long loading time
it doesnt take very long about a minute normally
and no i had to take out a mod or two cause they didnt work

If you have no errors before you decide to delete them. Look for the mods you deleted and check their dependencies see if you need to delete em too

How do you change the font into the fontsetting mod? I tried the regular and a download fonts but nothing happens. No error except for when deleting the saved preset.

Hi, I just downloaded smapi, but whenever I try to open up Stardew Valley I get the "open-smapi-terminal.command" cant be opened because open is not allowed to open documents in Terminal. message. I am playing on a macbook with the m1 chip, and I cant get it to work.

So basically, you have
- small, medium font not applicable because the mod conflict
- dialogue font successfully changed
- error deleting a preset. (tend to be a bug)
Does this Earthy interface have an option to toggle off its font?
I removed it and somewhat works. Altho the font on the dialogue is blurry.

for mod conflicts like this, I don't have many choices to fix. It's up to you user to choose which to use.
There's a option called "Pixel Zoom" for dialogue font, and it's default 3 so the text looks blurry. You can turn it to 1.

Pixel zoom 1 is good to have as small/medium text on the game. The dialogue is the most important font of them all since it is to do with mails and npc. Its clear but doesn't look nice x_x
im kinda confused, are u asking if smapi will be on the play store? bc i dont think so. google is stupidly strict about what they allow on there
the instructions for installing should ~hopefully~ be easier when the stable version comes around, though we can't know that for sure
Currently, smapi requires a non-playstore version of the game to be installed to run. If I have a saved game from play store, that version will not work with SMAPI.

hii I need some help with downloading the smapi file
after I click direct install, and open smapi, I extract the main file post that I need to right click and open it manually. When I click the install on windows tho, it tells me “oops it looks like you’re running the installer from inside a zip file. Make sure you unzip the download first.” I have legit tried everything and clicked on everything and it does not let me unzip the main file

Afaik, pytk is now being avoided by many but if you want to retain it its fine too. Here is what I'll do. Move/delete for testing the following
- Custom Farming Automate Bridge
- CustomReminders
- Images (folder because it says its empty)
- Reset Terrain Features 1.0.2
Then try do the log again see if you get it to work

there shouldve been a black window with instructions telling you to hit 1 or 2 and pressing enter and stuff
(you may need to enable file extensions, they're disabled by default on Windows)

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false
You need to find alternative mods that fulfil the same purpose. and the few that you can't find a non pytk for, you should abandon
You don't really need Pytk anymore, except for content patcher high res portraits
