so i ran my last playthrough with profiler to see if i could narrow down what's causing some of my slow loading and stuttering. i have a feeling it's just that i have too many mods and not enough clock speed but if someone could look through my log to see if anything sticks out to them i would really appreciate it. also, sorry for the length, i take 10 years to pick new outfits so the game was at 1300 for a loooong time

you'll need to use NoClip to get out probably. Then you should be able to move the bed and stuff

I've had no issues using ridgeside, sve, and immersive 2 together (I have east scarp too, if that's of use)

Is there a way to edit mods? Like the placement of things on the map? I have Ridgeside village and the npcs keep getting stuck on the Market Day chests

im trying to play multiplayer but i dont have a controller, do i need one?
Connect a controller to the computer/console for each extra player. (The keyboard on PC is always reserved for the first player, though the first player can use a controller too.)
Open the in-game menu and choose the Options tab.
Scroll down to the Multiplayer section and choose Start Local Co-op.
Have each extra player press start on the connected controller.

y'all I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the SVE and Immersive farm mods work on my macbook, pls help!
I've got both of them downloaded and unzipped, same with SMAPI. I have the Mods folder in Stardew contents folder and put all the mods in there. When I open Stardew, SMAPI starts up and does it's thing, but once I'm in game the content isn't there. I tried chatgpt for help and it said to run SMAPI first with the "StardewModdingAPI.app" file, but that doesn't appear to be anywhere on the computer and I can't figure out why

you can't just install two mods and expect them to work without their dependencies
they depend on a big pile of other frameworks that do helpful stuff
the sve install guide will tell you which ones
I highly recommend bookmarking that folder as well, I do it by making an alias
If you right click > make alias then you get a copy (with a little arrow on the folder symbol) that you can put anywhere, like your desktop
Then you don't have to do the whole Go to Folder thing each time

Files with the extension .zip, .rar, or .7z are archive files, which you can extract to get the actual files inside. For a .zip file, just right-click (or long-press on Android) it and choose the option like extract or uncompress. For .rar and .7z, you need to install third-party software first, like 7-zip https://7-zip.org/ on Windows (get the x64 version), Keka https://keka.io/ on macOS, PeaZip https://peazip.github.io/ on Linux, or ZArchiver https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver on Android.

move the one named stardew valley expanded to your mods
and delete that other sve folder in your mods

yes i have stardew foliage redone and it still does it when i turn it off, and i use earthy recolor and there isn't a toggle option for bushes
When you take both earthy and foliage redone out does it still do that?

Hello, so I recently installed SMAPI on my android device and that worked perfectly fine but when I tried to start the game with mods it never gets past the first saving screen. Also, when reading the log (and trying to understand it) I noticed that SAAT and Stardew Valley Expanded are both outdated, although I downloaded the newest versions available

hi, i don't know if anyone would be able to help but would anyone know why my wood on the ground is appearing how its shown in the screenshot?
i have (visually) DaisyNikos Earthy Recolour, Foliage Redone (foliage only) and Better Resourses (in my inventory it is appearing as it should with the mod) but the one on the ground is only going to bug me if i don't fix it

i guess it's a misformatted condition for adding something to the shop, but i can't tell from the log whether it's from a json asset mod, shop tile framework mod or some other mod. maybe check your mods for an event id 2147481928, that is in the failing conditions

just to check you checked the previous log that i sent as well to see if their isn't any more info because that's the exact same problem just reported with PyTk changed to the lite version
there's less info on the older log i'd say, probably because it didn't have error handler installed

Ah that's an issue with daisy Niko and better resources. I think on the mod page for better resources they have the fix that you add to the manifest (?)

sooo i just started getting into mods so i downloaded / started smapi and copyed the file directory it gave me into steam.
but now when i try to start it ( no mods added yet ) i just get this error message seen above
i tried to uninstall smapi and install it again but it just gave me the same file directory and steam gave me the same error message
and re installed stardew and installed smapi again but still same message
does anyone know how to fix it ?

I am looking for help with Project Yellog - Stardew Valley Expanded. I was able to install Stardew Valley Expanded without any issues. I wanted to try Project Yellogs alternative buildings. I placed the folder (not the zipped one) in the Mods folder and ran the game. SMAPI didn't report any conflict or that it couldn't run the mod. However, none of the buildings were changed. Any idea what might be happening? Thanks.

don't forget to also delete the smapi sdv apk along with the smapi installer apk
if you have deleted everything, try to install smapi installer and follow the guide

This is the only mod giving me trouble and it says it related to the C_PyTKlite AND THE OTHER pytk mod folders saying I have duplicates and thats why it isnt deploying? Ive checked in my mod folders and I can't find any duplicate folders, and Im not sure what it is meaning. Unless its referring to the two options I have for PyTKLite.dll and PyTKLite.pdb???
Any insight on if Im missing something obvious would help. And I have tried just deleting everything and reinstalling to no avail.

I only had them in the first place because it was suggested in the mod instructions I believe. So I'll try first just deleting the non-lite file. Then if still nothing, deleting them both.

So for some odd reason, I'm getting this issue. I know why this can happen and I've checked all my mods. The only thing I've done was update Ridgeside Village.
The only mods that change the bus stop that I have are, Ridgeside and Reimagined 3. I've turned the bus stop part off for Reimagined 3, so it shouldn't be touching it at all. If I turn Ridgeside better bus stop off, the stairs to Ridgeside vanish. I don't know what's going on. I know I have mods to update, but they don't have anything to do with the bus area.

You're using double negatives so not sure what you mean here. Prior to 2.4, you had do disable a thing in svr3 to make it work with ridgeside. Ridgeside patched compat in 2.4 to make it work

b/c RSV can only detect that SVR3 is installed
it can't detect your config in SVR3
so it's patching it with the assumption that you have the config on b/c it has no other way of knowing otherwise

in a perfect world, the patch would technically come from the SVR3 side b/c only Daisy can set it to do the RSV patch when RSV is installed AND the config for the bus stop is set to true. But alas! 😄
(I had this issue with ES and the mountain map b/c I had the mountain map turned off but ES automatically patches its entry to Deep Mountains if you have SVR3 and it looked weird. Ultimately I ended up uninstalling SVR3 entirely b/c I got tired of stuff like this xD)

Another issue I seem to have is a Json Shuffle, but the weird thing is, it happened twice. The only mods I updated recently since the first one, was Fashion Sense, AtraCore, Solid Foundations. Which was today, which is when I got the shuffle again.

hi, i've been trying to run both the timespeed mod and aedenthorn's map editing mod, i'm also using content patcher and some content packs. it seems as though any mod adding their own hotkeys seem to conflict with other mods trying to add hotkeys. i got it to work one time, but then i tried adding a save anywhere mod and it broke the map edit mod. i joined aedenthorn's discord server but seems it's just to notify people of updates?

Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.
map edit seems to not be read by gmcm though
is there like basic code for it to be readable? i don't have alot of coding experience but aedenthorn's map edit mod is the only one that lets you edit map tiles in game to my knowledge, and it needs a update bad, unless there's another map edit mod on mod drop or something? (edit) i googled around and found tmxloader, i'm going to see if that clears up my problem
people generally use content patcher instead of tmx loader nowadays. CP can do most of the things that tmx loader did
tmxloader doesn't edit maps either
yeah, i don't think either of them can be a substitute for the map edit mod exactly. unless you make content packs for them that do the tile edits
Map Editor is like an in-game GUI for what can be done with Tiled and CP
TMXL is the old way to do it that has mostly been phased out

i don't think you need it installed for the current game version. is that file in the game folder? my game install has it and i guess it should load from there as long as you have it

Okay so far with just adding portiature back and leaving everything else relatively the same (save for moving the portraits folder containing the dcburger files INTO the portraiture files instead of just in the mods folder), I have a little progress? The portraits are back to vanilla and when I press "p" I get the little vanilla dialog box. However I get no other picture options. And Marnie does have a .png file to be assigned

mods just change the game for fun lol. you don't really need to know how they work from the player side besides how to install them
they can be as big as expansion mods with entirely new content, mechanics mods that tweak how the game rules work a bit, simple retextures to make stuff look different
thank you. I was reading through wiki guide & is seems a little confusing on knowing how to install them. But some of the examples of what the mods can do sounds awesome. Being able to see npcs on the map, unlimited energy. Definitely love the sound of that. I have only been playing the game for about 2 weeks or so & I am addicted. I literally have it on my switch, my ipad, & through steam, lol. Just got my Steam deck today. So I can play my steam farm away from the computer. Question, would I have to install the mods on both the pc & steam deck since that farm is synced?

I play on both. I work from home, so I play on my pc while working when we're not busy. Hence me getting the steam deck, so I could play other games as well that I can only get from steam

Two machines that I crafted (from a mod, if that matters) seem to be glitching - they work if you put stuff in, but I can't remove them with an axe. What code would I need to delete to remove them from my save?

How to Launch Stardew Valley SMAPI from STEAM? I have this command in the Launch Options of Stardew Valley..

Hello everyone! I'm having a big issue right now. My game keeps crashing when I try to sleep. It worked fine just 40 minutes ago when my game was still in spring. Changed season and boom, crash. I tried various solutions I saw on the net; like removing items from the fridge, sleeping with all the tools, removing the Save Anywhere mod since it apparently crash with SVE, but nothing works so far. that's definitely the texture of lucikiel's daughter. you might want to look at both your configs for his mod

Generally the mods that do that are buggier
There is LittleNPCs, but dunno if it works in MP
And then there's Child2NPC, which, well...
Child2NPC was the old one, which was super buggy
i don't think it does work in mp, considering it has issues with more than 2 children
