Ok. No Error Handler.
Download the latest SMAPI version 3.18.2 and install that.
This updates SMAPI and should also install Error Handler.
Error Handler is as it's name might suggest "Something dealing with errors and clean up" (to put it simple).
You don't need to uninstall SMAPI first because SMAPI cleans up after itself if necessary.
Can it stay in my downloads or does it need to go into the specific steam folder?

However: Not having Error Handler doesn't prevent SMAPI from starting the game.

Hi everyone, I previously played Stardew valley plus mods on another pc a while back and now installed it on my new one including the mods I had before and a bit more. Itās giving me an error handle message and when I run the game, itāll only run 3 mods out of all of them. I have windows, my game version is 3.18.2. ZaneYork, the developer of Android SMAPI, has said he will work on it when he has time. i can open the normal game and it works fine but as soon as i open smapi wallet instantly becomes 888m
The mods you've installed don't cause it so it only leaves your pirated copy. We can't help you with that.

Has the window format issue ever happened before and what could be the cause?
Also happens when I automatically go to load save but is fixed when I manually click on load save from start
And you might remove it from your system because pirated copies can cause further damage to your system (i.e. maleware etc). Stick with vanilla and wait for the SMAPI for Android update.

You know how to find your gamefolder?

There you'll find a folder called Mods. That's the correct one.
Do NOT copy the zips.
Only copy the extracted folders to the mods folder in the game folder.

No idea. And SMAPI isn't talkative? You might try disabling mods till you find the one. I would probably start with frameworks as that will disable the mods relying on them too.

Hi yāall! New to the server and new to mods. Iām trying to install āstardew valley expandedā and ran into an issue. Iāve downloaded SMAPI and all the other mods in the instructions and put them in my āmodsā folder. Itās time to download the expansion, and for some reason my computer wonāt download it. Safari gave me the error ācannot open the linkā and chrome just wonāt open it, click to download manually and nothing happens. Any ideas?

So I'm playing multiplayer with my friend on SVE Expanded with a few other mods, and we're currently at Spirit's Eve, but randomly the game will just kick me out of the festival and I'll get sent back to my farm. The town square won't be the festival, it'll just be normal. Is there any way to fix this? Here's the log

Question, apparently map recolours can clash with this pretty mod. I'm using Daisy's Recolour. What should I do? I looked in the config of the recolour & the seasonal fences, and there's no easy option.
Someone on the forum said "i had the same issue, & yes it was because of the Daisy Niko recolour, so all you need to do is just remove the file.". Which files...? And if I remove the Daisy fences wouldn't I have to edit the .content too?
I thought the user had to actually engage the Emergency skip for when an event gets stuck. Didn't know it could activate on its own 
That's what I thought too, I dont think I purposefully engaged it
so you can go into the daisy recolor and look for the pngs that correspond to the fences, iām p sure they will all have fence in the name & tbh you probably wonāt need to edit the json, youāll just get some yellow lines of code in SMAPI saying that itās unable to access the file because it doesnāt exist. but itās easy to edit that line out if those yellow lines bother you (they bother me)
sorry that thatās not exactly thorough, iām not at my PC right now to specify which files youād need to delete & what youād need to remove in the json. but it should be a fairly simple process

you definitely could try but it may just be easier to delete them from the recolor files & keep the seasonal fence files separate if youāre afraid to mess anything up

If you have a sec, how do you remove the yellow negligent warning signs? Not a big deal if you don't have the time.
youād look for anything in the json that references those fence file names that you deleted and youād remove them
for example it could say āeditimageā and within the same section it would refer to the fence.png, youād take all of that out

hey guys so i got the challenging cc bundles yet when i opened the bundle they arent challenged. and its a new save

why does json assets still detroy everything in multiplayer and still is needed for big mods like SDVE or RSV???
can we somehow avoid using this ***** mod?
it only used to destroy stuff if you kept changing your mods willy-nilly; nowadays it should be mostly stable
i have only RSV and SDVE installed ... with a complete new farm ... still getting stuck, when i try to join the game

Looks like an XNB mod got installed wrong. A texture one over one of the data ones

yeah what i usually do is have like a content patcher mod as my "base" for default replacement
and then i AT individual things after
that's why i wanted to make a converter 
it's better described in the wiki! i actually only use the bucket mostly bc i don't have a lot of AT packs for animals and such
buckets are for objects like craftables and buildings
and then i think the scissors are for entities like animals and children (apparently??)
the paintbrush i think is like a copy/paste tool?

Seasonal Fences has a "Winter Indoor Fence" folder. What is that for? Weird
might be just a version without any seasonal decorations like flowers or snow

it looks like you put the contents of some zip file into the mods folder, that's not how it works, you have to put the folder you get after extracting the zip into the mods folder
the entire extracted folder, not just it's content

every single mod needs it's own folder inside of the mods folder

that folder doesn't belong there according to your smapi log
elle's dog replacement mod is installed twice, once inside assets once on it's own
the country furniture mod is just an empty folder
warm cozy fireplace is just an empty folder as well
and camarillo white bareback is an xnb mod, those don't work with smapi

For the horsemod: Does it have to be that specific one? If not you can check for alternative mods that aren't xnb-mods.

Game files (use Steam to go there): Copy the folder "Mods" and put it on your desktop (or wherever).
so don't delete the other one first?
Just copy that folder. And then you uninstall SMAPI by using the installer. Backing up the mods folder is for "later".

You start SMAPI installer and choose "Uninstall".
You make another screenshot of your mods folder (make it 2 if it doesn't fit on 1) because you've still additional files that do not belong there.

And when I move there house it glitches them in a different place so there map is completely different

It wouldn't have been necessary to remove stuff from Downloads but fine: Now you go to your game folder: That Mods folder needs to go (that's why you copied it earlier). That should leave you with only a folder named "Content" (don't touch that folder) and a bunch of files. If not tell what else is there.

You put the rar of yellog in your mods folder instead of unpacking it first.

i'm having an issue with the farmer to florist mod - everyday I get mail that says welcome on behalf of the florist assocaition and it doesn't give me a gift. Anyone else had a similar issue?

It's reinstalled now (no additional mods) after it didn't start correctly earlier (it did parts but not all even after disabling SVE to reduce start time).

Got a weird error trying to start SMAPI from steam after organizing my mods with StarDrop and using that a couple of times randomly. Log: https://smapi.io/log/f3eb7c0e6b4c452784dce76e7b9b00e3. I do in fact have ErrorHandler installed, dunno why it's not recognizing it. Properties have still not been changed from Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\StardewModdingAPI.exe" --mods-path "Mods_Valley" and Start In: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\". As far as I know I haven't changed anything about the steam-added game since I used stardrop but /shrug

Ok. When it works now: Let's talk about that Mods folder you rescued earlier. Go into that folder. Remove the . in front of the 2 SVE folders we disabled earlier. Also remove the following ones: ConsoleCommands, ErrorHandler and SaveBackup. Those are SMAPI folders and you just reinstalled SMAPI so you have new ones of these. And then you copy everything else into the mods folder in your games folder.

Want to use or update a mod, but it's using TMXL for its maps and you don't know how to manually convert (or don't want to)? You can use the TMXL2CP converter to automatically convert the maps into Content Patcher format. i don't see anything about babydinosaur.xnb in your log but generally XNB modding isn't a good idea and you should adapt it into content patcher or alternative textures framework instead

On the Nexus page of SVE in the Download section you have "Preview File Contents". Those are all the folders and files you need in your mods folder. The Screenshot you just posted is the StardewValleyExpanded folder on top of this list. You're missing the ones for FTM, JA, SAAT and STF according to your log.

When you try to use 2 mods for the grass for example 2 things can happen: 1 overrides the other completely and you'll only see one to begin with. Option 2: They mess up with each other and don't look good together. š¤·āāļø

And yes: Using grass from one and trees from a different one can work, but you've to adjust the mods if they're "full packages".

Hello. Any feedback is much appreciated. I am playing multiplayer Stardew Valley Expanded. The SVE map was working fine on solo player but when on multiplayer the map is showing the vanilla default one instead of the SVE map. We are both using the same mods.

If you have acceptable start times for the game: Add one mod, check in game if it works, close, add the next one etc. That way you'll see right away which ones might not work together.

no the TMXL is for the rooftop
take the insides of the assets from the TMXL2CP output and add them to the assets for the CP folder
merge the content.json files

does anyone know if helpful spouses and custom chores work in multiplayer? my friend and i are trying to run it but its not in our mod menu in game

Is there any way I can know if a specific mod is dependent on another mod in smapi?
we looked over custom chores, help for hire, and helpful spouses but are having trouble and donāt really understand it since we this is our first time trying to add mods. i couldnāt understand it. š
if the mod is on nexus, drop down the "requirements" menu
I have like 150 mods installed and I'm gonna remove the SpritesInDetails mod. I wanted to check if there are some mods that would crash if I remove them. I'd like to avoid checking each mod on nexus mod if I can
again, just look at the requirements from the drop down table on nexus
so it comes down to checking each mod on nexus?
they are saying they don't want to do that because they would have to do that for ~150 mods

or would SMAPI detect if dependencies are off?
it should give you an error that a dependency is missing, but i'm not sure if it tells you which mods need that dependency
Hmm I have run the game once removing and it didnt give me any error and launched normally. Should I take it as nothing broke?

is there a way to prioritize the mod load order with Stardrop? because i have tons of dialogue changing mods but want to prioritize some because i think they're being overwritten
don't think that is possible, neither with nor without stardrop, since mods can specify in which stage they want to load within their code
you can try renaming the folders and hope for alphabetical order, but other than that i wouldn't know how you could change the order
i thought you could do it with Nexus Vortex?
if mods were redundant you could choose which took priority
i don't even think you can do it with smapi outside of folder renaming and hoping mod code that specifies the stage to load screws you over again
if anything you could enable/disable specific mods, could be that vortex does that
You can go into smapi-internal/config.json and edit ModsToLoadEarly/ModsToLoadLate

i'd put the one you want to override everything else into the Late mods
