im not sure whats causing this, but sth is making some floors invisible (rustic plank floor for example). Got advised to ask this here with the log

See guide here, you can use Vortex to manage mods (although it is not without weird bugs) but it won't install smapi at all rn

hey there I have a question: So im using a lot of mods and ran out of F keys and Numpad Keys to use š And whenever I use a mod which uses a search field I open up other menus that I dont even want to use in that moment when a key is bound to it. Is there a way to deactivate that? So that a search menu or popup menu in general is not allowing any other key command that opens up other menus?

Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

yea I use that already, it would be just nice to have that option to have a keybind that only triggers when im actually in the game and not a menu. So its not possible and I have to change all the keybinds or deactivate them if there is no room on the keyboard right

You could put stuff you don't want to use on a "dummy key". Alternatively: You can't only use F keys and NumPad in SDV. But that might be hard to remember everything at some point.

According to them, itās a bug in MacOS Ventura not setting the quarantine flag properly for actions originating in bash scripts. The relevant part of the OS being triggered is the "System Integrity Protection", which is documented here:

yea exactly ... since a lot of the mods arent in the config menu I now go in and out the game until everything is settled somewhere. But for the reason of the Item Spawner and the Love of Cooking Menu I have to not use any normal letters since they will open up other menus. For example whenever I hit J, no matter if Im in a Search Menu or not, it will open up the warp menu and if I hit escape the item spawner is closed and my input is gone. so thats why I thought there might be maybe an option to deactivate that (So there would be some kind of input ignore as long as im in a menu). Ill try to put everything on Decimal, Enter, Add, Subtract, Multiply too now but its super hard with lots of mods to remember all the inputs, did create a txt for that too š
And the warp menu can't be assigned to a new key with gmcm? Maybe check the content.json or if there's a config.json to reassign the key.
I don't use the mods you mentioned. That's why I'm not sure.

So I cant use all the mods if Im not using anything from a-z, the Better Chests mod alone has way too many key bindings too and I have to find out which one I can easily "not use". But thx for the help, that will be a lot of stuff to rebind š
You don't Have to use a keybind, esp for ones that you don't use in the game. I have those set to "null"
There's also multi-keybinds, but sometimes these need to be set manually

How do I uninstall maps mods? About to test another farmhouse map since I'm having a glitch with one and dint want to have more problems when switching?
Take the first farmhouse map out of your mod folder and replace with the new one

I should probabl add context: everything was working perfectly fine, I was at robin's trying to build a shed but couldn't click anything. then my friends said i apparently left the game but i was still on the build menu. I tried backing out, but got stuck on a loading screen so I alt+f4'd. When I relaunched and joined back, I was stuck being invis? No red in the console from what I've observed
still need help on this :( we even tried making a new save but still had the loading problem somewhere on the farm, but we think it is spacecore because in one of the error logs it mentioned spacechase0.. when we tried getting an old version of spacecore, that caused errors on both my game and theirs, and i could not open esc or the menu without a huge amount of errors popping up.. that might be bcus of updated json assets and old spacecore conflicting, but i donāt know what to do.. :(

As a general rule if you get an error like that it's because you have a mod that doesn't actually work in multiplayer, or you have differing mods
unfortunately these are really, really hard to test

hi, I have a small problem? Basically, SMAPI says my mods are out of date even though I have the most recent versions? Like, it says I need 1.1 and I have 1.0, but I have 1.1 and it reads it as 1.0. Or that Prismatic Tools is out of date, even though I have the most recent version from nexus mods???
the log also keeps telling me certain things aren't compatible with it, like pytk, but I need that mod to run other mods? (not to mention that I get warnings that certain mods will break on the next SMAPI update...)
I...don't really know how to fix this. I tried to update things, but again, I have the most recent versions of the mods (i think) so there's nothing to update from nexus.
(there's also some minor graphical things with the grandpa's tools mod, the trash can and fishing minigame bar don't match the mod, but remain vanilla, but that's pretty negligible, not game breaking.)

and another problem that I have is that animals from BFAV mods doesnt produce their goods unless the game is in English
I assume it'll work if you manage to figure out what the actual path is supposed to be and fix the capitalization

Hey guys. Is there any way I can change the color of my dogs? I have the mod that allows me to have more doggos and whatnot but... They're all the same color. Is there a way to change some of them to look different?
im confused i had downloaded this max population mod on my game and it deleted the modded skin i got for my chicken coop..i dont really know how to fix it but this is how the coop used to look(the second picture):

@cold stone Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).

Does anyone know if using save anywhere will break the game with ES in it, or I just canāt save in ES. Thatās the only mod I think I have that says ES doesnāt support it nor ever will

There are some instances where you will need to use the compatibility version of the game. Please be aware that SMAPI/game mods are not compatible with this version.
On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.
On GOG: From the game's page, click the settings icon > Manage installation > Configure... > then "compatibility" under the Beta channels dropdown.

hey um does anyone know how to edit a save file? i deleted SVE in hopes of seeing if the problem would persist with vanilla stardew but now i cant open the save at all, i know why this happens as it mentions morris tod.xnb, i just have no idea how to get rid of it
basically i just need the save to be edited to get rid of the npc code

I'm not particularly sure personally if any of my mods are compatible with save anywhere, especially ones that use SMAPI lifecycle events.

i'm having some problems with SMAPI and SDV expanded and i would like, some assistance please ;o;

ok so uhh for starters i tried playing SDV expanded with an already-existing vanilla save file that i had a lot of progress on, which i am starting to realize was the peak of my hubris
i figured if there were any issues then i could cross that bridge when i came to it and i played like 20 hours or something before running into anything game-breaking
i ran into a cutscene w/ the wizard where you (SDVE spoilers ig) ||unlock the teleportation nexus in the backwoods|| and for some reason once the cutscene was finished, i was spawned right in the middle of a bush and i was unable to move. i didnt have any totems on me or nothing so i was like 'ok maybe this is that bridge i was going to cross eventually, lets see what i can do to fix this'
-tried digging into the map files/tilesets to edit it out manually. that did not work
-downloaded Farm Type Manager (FTM) expecting it to help but then i realized i misread what it did and uninstalled it lmao
-downloaded and tried Map Editor on nexusmods by aedenthorn. it did not work
-downloaded and tried Noclip mode by Pathoschild. it did not work either
at this point i'm getting pretty frustrated so i just try to set everything back to how it was anddd...
now SMAPI won't open. like, it'll open and then immediately close. sometimes, like one in 60 attempts in spam-opening it'll open the window, but it will be blank and then close immediately upon any kind of interaction anyway

It optimizes a lot of stuff in the innards of the game, you just have to tweak the config to turn off the painterly effect it gives the art.
It sure saved my butt when it came to mods - I couldn't crack 100 without it.

you have multiple copies of a mod installed, you need to delete one of them

Implemented in version 1.5.5, MonoGame is the latest framework that Stardew uses, and was implemented to solve problems such as Memory limits and audio issues. Unfortunately, MonoGame has a bug which affects random computers, not allowing them to launch Stardew. This bugs randomly targets computers, regardless of your operating system or hardware and is out of ConcernedApe's control. There is currently no known fix. Even with the same hardware, monobug issue can occur to anyone
Intel hd 620 seems to be a shared memory graphics. 
I understand you. But depending on what else is in your laptop SDV needs a bit of RAM too (depending on mods / amount) and if your graphics uses that (which is what shared memory graphics do), you'll most likely get in trouble soon enough even if you could use mods.
my laptops hardy kinda, it runs genshin impact and heavier MC mods?
but regardless i think ill give up for now... perhaps my sdv will randomly decide to work

That's the problem in such cases and also with monobug: It can work, but doesn't have to.
Stick with it for now and maybe at some point a new pc might be an option. Mods don't go to waste to begin with.

Try it on the pc. It's most likely going to work better anyway. While SDV doesn't look like requiring lots of resources: A modded SDV is an entire different story. If you've a decent pc it's most likely going to handle a modded SDV better to begin with.

I installed a custom greenhouse mod - but when I finally unlock it just now, I enter it and it is the default greenhouse - and my player is nowhere to be seen, he doesn't appear inside the greenhouse. What could cause this / how could I fix it?

I had that one initially, but I changed it... I forgot to delete the first mod from the mods folder, it seems, and I had both mods in there... I hope I didn't ruin anything / mess up my save š
"Ruin": Is the crop area identical? Otherwise you've to do a bit of clean up before the switch.

It's not only about size.
If you planted something in a spot that's now a path where you can't plant you've to remove the planted crop before the switch.
Chests etc might be collected too in such cases to avoid them being in the void depending on where the walls of the new one are.

The paths in the wiki are standard paths. They won't work if you installed the game somewhere else. And if I understand atra correctly you've installed it "somewhere else" and need to adjust.

Every time I crack open a geode at Clint's, the game lags out and it takes like 30 seconds for me to be able to open a new one. If I open enough, the game crashes. I updated all of the mods that had an update, and it still lags. I tried without mods (on a new save) and it's fine. Is there a solution to this?

I don't know why that mod is out of date, I downloaded the latest version
If you triple checked on Nexus (or where you downloaded it) that you have the latest version it could be a false due to the modder not having updated the manifest.
That's a log where the crash didn't happen? 
For the out of date mod, the notes says it changed the version "hopefully for real," so I think its just the modder's error, but as for the log, that's the most recent log on there - where a crash did happen. I looked on Reddit, and someone on SteamDeck uploaded their log and the crash didn't show up either.
I think the problem was the custom music mod, which I forgot was on there until I checked the log. I'm playing without it and it's working fine now.
Weird but CM is known to have performance issues
If it happens again you can try profiler to see if it points towards anything

as long as you download the correct type, dcburger has type that use portraiture (pytk dependant) and hdportrait iirc. those are under file

I just achieved the 100% completion and got the special messages, when I get to the summit for the cutscene, I only see the spouse and foreground, but the background is black.

Nope. Singleplayer, game crashes on selecting load on the main screen, or keeps looping back to the main menu, with the error in that error log

There was a ring mod that I just deleted since I tested it and it's broken in game. TMXL and PYTK as well
Also it's clean install of vanilla files and smapi, and I dont mess with the contents folder.
