still no luck with getting the mod to work, which is really upsetting as i have spent the last 2 days working on it. just gonna make a trip to the local shops to give myself a breather and when i get back i'll see if anyone can spare like 5 mins or so to help (if possible). it looks like areally fun mod to play with.
Says mod use decrypted code and will break in the next major smapi update. This normal?

For the user, this just means that the mods have old code and will break in SMAPI 4.0 if they are not updated - it is not anything to worry about at this time. From you log it looks like you unzipped a mod and it's contents spilled directly into the mods.
Reinstall SVE and delete whatever this is.

If someone hasn't told you yet, you should use Gmcm to edit your configs. The one for your Cccb isn't valid so it seems.

Cross fingers you can get it fixed sooner than later then. Troubleshooting is sometimes a slippery slope.

the only thing i can think of is another mod that is installed is messing with it, but even removing that specific mod entirely, still throws this error

debug fish pufferchick did not work.
debug fish 4101 hooked it for me and I had to quickly tab back into the game and beat the minigame to catch it

I am... having a lot of trouble getting reset terrain to work.
So apparently this is a relatively common glitch, but I couldn't find a working fix. Apparently, I can't plant any saplings without my game just straight up crashing, and none of the fixes I've found yet have worked?

It completely freezes and then the only way to close it is through Task Manager or closing the SMAPI window

Hey, I'm having a bit of an issue with a modpack I made for myself late last year, and I updated my mods just to be sure that wasnt the issue. My save appears to crash before the next day because it's failing to load in my spouse's room, and the logs arent exactly very helpful with identifying the problem, since the game is just stuck in a loop. I'll upload my log and save just to see if anyone can help me figure out the issue.

Hello, I tried to add SMAPI as a separate game on steam, as so to not affect my vanilla achievements and save files, however when i launch the "StardewModdingAPI" on my steam it opens up the vanilla game, with my vanilla saves on it, is this normally the case? or have i done something wrong when setting it up?
hey - my game won't give me the rusty key cutscene and i noticed way later than when it should've happened. i have SDVE, item spawner & ui info suite 2 downloaded for mods. i tried picking up and placing every item in the museum, & my farm is completely solo.

Long shot here but is there any modder who can help me check if there exists a config file for the fishing minigame?
I'm working on a personal project that train a very basic AI for the fishing mini game and basically try to discover the strategy for the minigame. To do this I have to code the fishing minigame from scratch to simulate Stardew's fishing minigame so that I can test my bot out.
However, for this to be useful it's better if I can get my environment to be as similar to the real fishing game as possible. I am wondering if there exists a config file that details the acceleration rate, the gravity rate, the coefficient of restitution(bounce when the bar hit the edge) etc. Even better if it describes the logic behind the fish behavior. Thank you.

In the guide for instaling SMAPI there is a section to separate SMAPI and the vanila game on the steam client, it claims to keep them separate for the purpose of launching a modded and a vanila game, so both of them will share save files, but will both of them launch with mods? if i want to play vanila co-op will i have to uninstall SMAPI?
How do i keep them separate?
if you launch the vanilla game then it will launch vanilla. if you launch your non-steam-game-added smapi then it will launch modded
both will give you achievements and hours
if you don't want to have steam achievements with your mods then just launch SMAPI directly without steam

whenever i extract this, it becomes this. it has the png for the ring set inside, but... it doesn't work if i shove those into the folder and try to load it in the game
they probably zipped it up wrong. try creating a folder that's named exactly like how the rar file is named and put that folder in your mods

you could delete that part, esp if you're just looking for the retexture. not sure why it's not properly reskinning though, the content json looks right to me? unless you have something else editing rings that's competing with it haha
Hi, i'm currently playing with 2 Friends Multiplayer(other friend is Host) Spring Year 2. We have some mods like SVE installed, but had no problems till now. When we sleep sometimes the game freezes. SMAPI logs show it stuck on sync New Day task. Our only solution currently is to quit and for the host to skip the day by sleeping. Does anyone know a way we can find the Problem? we dont really know the problem

hey, if i want to play on two worlds with separate mods (one with sve and one without) is it okay if i just take it out when playing on that world and then put it back for the other world?
You can actually create mod groups for that.

hi so im trying to run a modded stv server with 2 other people, no errors in our consoles other than a single quest framework mod error, they also both got into the game fine. however we are noticing that more than half of the items we break disappear instead of going into our inventories, 2 of us are having this issue. any advice?

Hi! I’ve been trying to use mods on my steam deck, I was able to make a bunch work but I think I went a little click happy and downloaded too many at once maybe? I accidentally broke my game and couldn’t load it after i installed a third round so I had to delete everything and start over. One thing I was not able to do was get expanded to work. I have followed every video I have found online, I have scoured every forum, but for the life of me I can’t figure out why I can’t make sdv expanded work. I deleted and reinstalled the game twice, I deleted every mod and reinstalled the ones required for expanded. I have no red text and the smapi loads just fine, it’s just that it’s still the vanilla game. Is there something I am missing? Also I am trying to load my smapi log but am unsure how to do it on my steam deck. Thank you!

Correct! I watched a YouTube video and when the creator loaded up a new file you could see the map changes and that there were 32 npcs instead of 28

Is there a limit to how many mods I can have that spawn extra forageables? I've had a couple of games where I had multiple forage mods installed, and after a while, only items from a few of the mods would spawn. I even had 2 game years where vanilla forage (cockle shells) just never spawned, and I could never figure out why.

Hey all, so my friend and I have gotten back into modding and ran into an issue. We installed the same mods at the same time, and the current issue is as follows
We have Ridgeside Village and PPJA's Even More Recipes installed (among others, but these are the two conflicting things)
On her game, she has Ridge Cherries (Ridgeside) while on my screen, I have Pineapple Pizza (EMR). It seems EMR is overriding Ridgeside for some reason, but only on my game. (this is true for multiple items) We're aren't sure what's going on with that and was wondering if someone could help us figure out the possible issue?
It's weird that smapi doesn't even show update for sve as neweet version of sve is 1.14.18

You van check each mod page for update by right click each mod on stardrop and open mod page

Tractor mod needs to be reinstalled, it sounds like the png is missing? but it also sounds like it's defaulting to whatever the default png image is... Pathos might've built in some kind of failsafe?

You still need to go to each mod page. But you can use vortex download button if you connect stardrop to nexus and stardrop will auto install the mod

When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. You need to go to smapi.io/mods and search for that mod. It will give you link to unofficial update (usually in stardew valley forum)

Can I export a profile/configs from Stardrop so that they can easily be downloaded by friends? I don't mean yoinking the mods into a Google drive bc I know that's scummy, I just wanna be able to match configurations as easily as possible.
I wrote down all the configs, but the less work for my friends, the better.

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

ZaneYork, the developer of Android SMAPI, has said he will work on it when he has time. This will be fixed in a future release (it's already fixed in the code, just not released yet). It just means that the building icon is transparent.
