arent the portraits of the ridgeside mod inside the asset folder of cp ridgeside
I haven't tried that. But it isn't that the game doesn't load but that it freezes when I go to the bus stop

btw ridgeside valley works perfectly for me so I guess something else is bothering your game ^^
3.18.0 optimized how asset names are compared. It's now significantly faster.
SM doesn't even perform the update itself truly concurrently
So the concurrency-safe part of that check is now faster, and the concurrency-unsafe part is proportionally longer
hmm. So far I've only seen it with 3.18, and asking people to disable spritemaster scheduling fixes it
but fixes what, my game was running I thought it would be making the game somehow faster or something like that, but everytime I entered the game I saw my farmer and then the game crashed
Basically, an update to that Dictionary is happening where it never was before

maybe there is a mod that doesnt like ridgeside or something, idk how important is that mod for you? for me its like the biggest expansion so far with the most immersion, but I had also some problems with the bus stop before although it was about bushes that were blocking the entrance to the boarding house, fixed it with putting the more important mod on the bottom of the mod folder (they load in order)
none of the mods balm has should conflict w rsv

Anyone wanna try and give me a help with a crash - just updated a bunch after a month or two of not playing and so with the smapi updates among others it could be anything, the conglomeration of mods as a whole is probably a mess at this stage. got my log together too - just let me know if you want me to share it

a quick thing about the giant crop error, that was for me the same before i installed a giant crop mod and put the asset folder in there

Itās pretty hard for most people to test splitscreen
I donāt own a controller and none of my mods are tested for splitscreen, although no one has reported anything specific that doesnāt mean there arenāt bugs potentially

yea i just heard it from some mod makers that they write in their mod that its quite risky to use split screen with some mods

@sacred dagger Yeah, the split screen doesn't work with some mods. Nucleus coop skirts around that problem by running two separate instances of the game and it's completely like they are being run on two different computers communicating via the web. Starting is done by one player being the host and the other joining a LAN game. I don't think that' sit
but are you 100% sure that it also doesnt work without that when youre playing solo or did you test that already
but i only play single player so far when playing massively modded games since i always had problems when playing coop with mods
@sacred dagger Yeah, it is a totally different program and works with a bunch of different games...if your computer is pretty beefy. Mine is and can handle 2 Stardew's without any difference between playing it single player only

usually i would guess something is altering the bus stop then but since i use both that rsv npc, rsv, sve and also other mods that create new entrances at the bus stop I think these dont really break the bus stop. so im not really 100% sure and would maybe test different attempts that could just in theory destroy your rsv experience

tried that multiple times...arriving after Pam is there and the game just freezes
at the bus stop? that didnt happen for me so far i started a new savefile, first one since half a year so im still at day 23 first year
hmm but i think how that could make your game crash
actually, it's only after Pam gets to the Bus. Additionally, we played through no problems at all with this until Year 2, winter
if Pam is walking on the screen towards the bus, the screen loads and you can see her walking
send you a request, ill update you if i hit that point and it also gives problems (or it works fine idk)

@lament vortex I have no lag or stutters at all. I don't think it's processing power as my computer is a beast. RTX card, 32GB of super fast ram...8 cores of a gaming cpu...I could have it run on independent cores I suppose?

Trying the game on single player -- could not replicate the problem. Come to think of it, it's always me, joining my wife's farm that causes the freeze crash, never her.

i just saw MSI AfterBurner could cause also problems and i use that for many games because it kinda helps with controlling the fans and everything
yea that was a huge problem for me in nearly every mp pt š¦ i love playing coop farms but sadly many mods didnt work usually

Having an issue where the quests board suddenly broke when I started a quest from another mod. They simply stopped loading. I can see the exclamation point hovering over the board, but when I check, it says no quests are available. :c

ive removed all mods that would change the appearance of furniture items, yet when i log into the game beds and other random furniture items are invisible. this started happening after i removed a mod callled industrial furniture

i believe so, another weird thing is some of my furniture still look like the mod even though its completely deleted from my PC

I disabled and renabled the CP textures and MARGO and the quests seem to be back now. š¤·šæ
about the farmer to florist mod .. somewhere wrote on the forum "Well, upon screwing around with it some more, it looks like SMAPI was having trouble finding the manifest.json files because of how the mod folder itself was laid out, and not loading parts of the mod as a result. I took the individual sub-folders out of the main "[PPJA] Farmer to Florist" folder and the letters seem to be working fine now!" so i try that for now
because I remember the other versions to be dga but for some reason no idea how i fixed that last year
I loaded it by itself and the error still seems to occur. AFAIK, this just adds purchasable objects to the game. There aren't any crafting recipes. Is there anything I can do to check it out? My knowledge about DGA is only limited to being a consumer, not a creator. š

You can try deleting and redownloading the mod, but if that doesn't fix it you'll just have to remove the shop entry for the one that doesn't exist

I would try to remove SpriteMaster. For me it's never worked and even causes crashes and freezes on my linux machine.

ZaneYork, the developer of Android SMAPI, has said he will work on it when he has time. Try sv mobile version 1.4 to apply smapi or wait for 1.5 smapi

Basically Iāve already used smapi for SVE. I was watching someone play and realised my secret forest wasnāt the same. Then i realised none of my mods or smapi were updated. I updated smapi fine. But Iāve been trying to update the mods and i donāt think Iāve been doing it right. And my game crashed upon opening. Is it easier if just delete everything and start fresh as i think Iāve just duplicated files and nothings working

im not entirley sure how to update them, ive been redownloading thme and putting them in the mods file but theyjust keep saying they need to be updated. and for some reason nexus mods wont open the download file for sve
Your log doesn't complain about duplicates. 
Are you using vortex to download? If you're worried about double ups your mod folder should show it
If you have downloaded the latest file of a mod on Nexus it could be a false message too. Sometimes mod authors forget to update their manifest.json with the correct number.

No. Vortex is a bit of a troublemaker in regards to SDV.

Although I've jason assets and space core too without complains. 
Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).
Try update all mods that ask to be updated, reinstall sve, and choose only one either grandpa's farm or immersive farm 2

Ah, that's the issue you can only use either grandpas farm or IMF4 not both
Just checked: jason assets and space core shouldn't give you a message if you use the latest version. 
To update, download newer version. Then delete old mod first

Yes unless a mod states otherwise on the page. You can also delete the old version first (that's a bit more clean) but then you might have to redo config (if a mod has them).
but if you want both farm maps available for different saves you could be stardrop

Game freezes every time i exit the game. Saving the game and exiting to main menu is fine. Removing the Smart Building seems back to normal. Is it really because of Smart Building?
Anyone tried using Nvidia geforce now for stardew valley (MacOS) Currently waiting on pc coming in and currently running nvidia geforce now on my macbook air. I know mods are supported using Nvidia, just not sure if its the same process when using a mac as a windows running nvidia and couldnt find much info on it tbh. hi there! I'm brand new to modding in any form and Discord as well!. I'm trying to make myself a personal handbook, like the wiki that's online. I'm focusing on machines first. I had been opening code files through Notepad and getting my info from there, I did C++ in high school and apparently remember enough to read this stuff. I can find just about everything I need except what to actually put in it. They're all written the same, across mods it seems, so I may not be looking in the right place? Any suggestions?

so when i use the warp totem it just freezes doesn't say loading or anything, and then i wait and eventually it goes black and it wont let me do anything

@open canopy I am having a similar problem where the last couple of things I see on the smapi logs is "generating stock for QiShop" and sometimes some shop tile framework stuff. For me, it's always when I leave the farm to go to the bus stop while Pam is there -- and I see a black screen with 'loading' on it. So it's sort of desert related as I can't get to the desert.
But I don't have a ton of overlap of mods that you have.

Of yours, I have Aerocore, antisocial, CP, all the 'customs' except music and chores, error handler, farm type manager, june, mail framework, npc map locations, quest framework, ridgeside, saat, shop tile framework, SVE, SD hack, and wear more rings. So maybe it's one of those? I am kinda hoping it's June or mail framework -- maybe that narrows it down a little?

For any mod folder that says empty delete it and re-download the mod

i would try adding back half of your mods, with all their dependencies. if you get a crash. remove half of those and play again. if you don't, remove those and add back the other half

I don't think I have the log anymore, but was excited to use Save Anywhere again - it appears to conflict with Solid Foundations though; had to launch a backup of my save to remove the error
Basically, upon the save finishing, all of my buildings disappeared, including a buildable greenhouse - changed "buildings_old" to "buildings", and that restored them, but then Chests Anywhere recognized two buildable greenhouses in the save???
If it happens again, I'll save the log. For now, gonna remove Save Anywhere.

@cobalt dove The folder names look weird. I.e. Automate 1.28.2-1063-1-28-2-1673291124 <<-- There is a folder inside that one which is called Automate? Move that one into Mods and not the one with the numbers. Try the same with the other ones.

they didn't make the mill iirc lol
there is no mill basically so it can't pull from the non-existent file. I suspect they eventually planned to make more of the farm buildings so they put in the code, but never got back to it

I'm having an issue where SMAPI does not seem to recognize some manifest.json files.

These files are there if you look in the explorer. They might be in a sub-folder, but that was not an issue before and it also works with other manifest.json files in sub-folders (e.g.: SVE)

The out of date mod is not out of date it's just the author forgot to update the manifest.json version

Ahh, I see where it seems he's maybe confused?
The version of Harmony he's using there does use 4.1, but all of the game's assemblies use MonoAndroid v12, which is .NET 5/6 equivalent-ish.

This usually happens as I try start up the game, and happens at different stages of loading as seen by the crash report below, and sometimes the game loads but it will crash in the main menu. Sometimes it even runs a whole day and crashes when I try to save. :/ My solution so far is to just play on my laptop. The game runs just fine without SMAPI, and even runs with SMAPI installed if I just run the base game executable

I would recommend re-installing smapi and see if anything changes

Verifying game files, removing all mods, deleting startup_preferences and default_options, updating Microsoft .NET and XNA frameworks, ensured MSI afterburner is completely disabled

according to stack overflow it's either a memory leak or a corrupt memory, and the difference is likely a 3rs party software rather than SMAPI or windows
MSI afterburner is installed but very much disabled/unused
I'd like to check .NET and make sure the right versions are installed/being used, but with microsoft being microsoft that isn't exactly easy

How did you install SMAPI?
Generally donāt install it via a mod manager, install it separately
- Downloaded file from nexus (3.18.2)
- Extract zip
- Run install on Windows.bat
- Uninstall old version
- Run install on Windows.bat
- Install again
No need for uninstalling btw
before switching, I installed it via nexus vortex

And by nuke I mean āuninstall from Steam, then remove its folder with whatever files are left there (which should be mostly mod files), then install again, then install SMAPIā

does anyone know how to get the debug commands to work on smapi. It keeps telling me unknown command. Am I missing a mod, because it used to work for me long time ago when I installed Ridgeside and I had been using debug where undreya.

Can anyone tell me what causes <string>VibratorOff</string> to show up in <mailrecieved>? Does the game convert any invalid mail to that?
This string floods my savefile and turns my 60fps into a crippling 6fps. If i manually remove it, my 60FPS returns but it floods again at the next save cycle. It doesn't show up in any Logs whatsoever nor is it throwing any error so there isn't much point for Smapi logs.
i don't have the most recent smapi version, but the StardewValley script that launches smapi should have a line somewhere that lists various terminals, starting with for terminal in xterm gnome-terminal ..., i'd guess you can change the first terminal entry to the terminal you wan't and it'll use it
i don't know, but you might be able to find out from what mod it is from (if any) if you search through all json files in your Mods folder for that flag (maybe notepad++ can do that, not sure)
Game refuses to launch on my laptop
PC: launched in around 10 seconds, win 7, 8 gb ram, i5 2.6Ghz
Laptop: stuck on console (have tried waiting for over 1 hour), win 10, 4 gb ram, i5 2.6Ghz
I have spent days trying to get it to launch on laptop, please suggest fixes.
Mods are same on both, Same smapi version and steam account too.
I have done that... Multiple times actually. Even deleted any cache files and scoured my savefile if there are any links related to it.
Which is weird since the problem stems from <mailrecieved>. This should be the easiest to fix but is somehow a headache. Like it spams 2000 lines in the savefile.
To begin with: Does the game start normal without mods? Use Stardew Valley.exe in the game folder to start it without mods.
